POWERS

GENERAL DESCRIPTION: David’s ability allows him to absorb one’s knowledge, skills, and experiences(somewhat) just by being in proximity to David. This is known as psychomimetry, what is means is that by being near David his mind is able to process the knowledge and skill sets of different individuals, allowing him to preform whatever skill he may want to almost inherently. Such as if he was on a plane and inside the cockpit he’d be able to understand all of the gauge and monitors in front of him without any prior knowledge of the aircraft or flight controls in general. Just by the pilot being present in the cockpit, David would be able to fly the plane as the pilot would and understand all the intricate workings of the plane.

He is able to mimic skills others have to the best degree he is humanly capable of. In other words he can absorb someone’s knowledge of how to perform certain actions from how to use a certain firearms to how to drive different vehicles, this only last while they are in his presence but makes him rather useful in a bind. He’s even showed the ability to translate a language and then communicate in a basic manner with the individuals, theoretically if he’s familiar enough with the language he could seem fluent in it, but that usually requires his own understanding of the language and dialect. For example if he were to fight someone with a very intricate knowledge of Jujitsu he would also be able to perform the feats that they could within his physical limits. Like their grips and chokes may be stronger purely because they’ve done this more often and have trained their entire life to perform such moves at such an expert level. David would not seem a novice but more like someone who knows the moves and how to apply them but still needs to work on the actually execution of the move to get his body to be able to do the same amount of damage as the target. This would allow him to operate any type of technology or weapon as long as an expert or someone with specific training in the object is present to almost there exact skill level. Although the longer someone’s mind is proximity to David and the longer (longer being 5 minutes in the least) he’s absorbing the knowledge the closer he becomes to executing the actions as they would, almost mirroring them. If it’s a skill the person doesn’t use often an d isn’t in the process of attempting it requires either more focus of David on their mind or more time spent near them for him to pick up on the intricacies of the task at hand.

David has tested the limit of the proximity to roughly 80 feet give or take, roughly 24.38 meters. Another side to this power is that through this low telepathic connection with the person he is able to understand what they would do in the given situation, in other words he can predict someone’s moves in combat as if he were old friends with them understand their strengths and their likelihood to lead with which hand or use what abilities or powers they may possess. This does not guarantee he can predict someone’s moves it just David insight into their tactics enough that he is skilled at predicting what they think is their optimum strategy. His brain is able to process such data that at times it looks as if David has super reflexes or the ability to predict ones actions but in actuality he is only running the statistics in his head of where the person would normally attack or which foot they’d naturally lead off of.

WEAKNESS: First off David’s brain can only actively process information from 5 people within his 80 foot radius. This meaning that normally it’s the closest people to him whose brains he has access too, if he does try to put some thought in this completely involuntarily action he can try to hold onto different brains but if he’s moving at all it usually results in loosing track of their mind if there are enough people in his proximity to access without control. If he concentrates he can shift his perception from one person to the next but doing this causes him to only have access to one mind at a time. After which if he were to cease functioning it would be the last brain he access plus the four closest to him in proximity. But this concentration is so taxing that David can barely perform any other actions while focusing at this point in time.

As far as his ability to analyze someone’s moves and tactics and predict what they will be leading with, it truly only works well on those that are unaware of David’s ability to do just that. This means that once someone is well aware of what he’s doing they can easily adjust their tactics to deny David his prediction of their movements. To the point that someone whose trained with or spent enough time around David would be able to fight him rather successfully. David also sees his power as an unfair advantage and is always seeking for a way to naturally inhibit it as he’d rather do something on his own merit along than use someone else’s knowledge to his advantage.

David’s mind has mental blocks that cause him to not retain any of the knowledge he gains throughout his encounters with people. They also keep him from being able to process more than 5 people at any one time and also make it so David’s mind is only aware of those minds of people he has line of sight to. He loses almost all the knowledge immediately when the person leaves his proximity. He occasionally regains some facts that he committed to his own memory but usually only a word or phrase, in extreme situations a paragraphs worth of information can be memorized internally. Otherwise he has no way to access their knowledge without using a tool, like a piece of paper, to copy information down.

PERSONALITY David is one of the few people in the world that has a moral compass that always guides his actions. In saying this David finds it difficult sometimes to deal with the ‘unfair’ advantage his powers grant him. He believes in self perseverance and earning respect and power. When he first figured out that the latent knowledge he was discovering was not something of his own effort but the knowledge and skills of those around him David attempted to then find ways around his power’s advantage if that meant asking a teacher to move him to another room so he could ‘focus’ better away from students he would ask for such accommodations because he’d rather fail the test of his own merit then ace the test because all the answers were just there in his head waiting to be written down on paper.

David is one methodical person finding that his time in the military has made become a more focused and orderly human being. He likes things to be in a neat and tidy order and dislikes cluttered messes to a fault. So much so that David has a set schedule for his morning routine and the all the events he can expect to plan throughout the day. His moral compass always implores David to tell the truth when the truth counts whether it’d say him from getting in trouble or not, except where his power comes into play he’s been known to lie about things such as ADHD to allow him special test taking areas where he has no distractions so that he can take the test and only apply his own aptitude to the test instead of his teachers or fellow students. He also finds joy in his own accomplishments, he is someone with a drive and he has to be constantly striving for the next achievement or award to satisfy his desire for success. He also enjoys academia, as part of his hopes in life is to be a student of all formal schools of knowledge and is thus always seeking out new and exciting information. This is why he often dislikes using his power to gain knowledge about subjects especially in academic settings. David is more often than not found in a library or in his apartment reading and studying on a nice bright day rather than playing sports or just relaxing outside in the sun, his thirst for knowledge is insatiable.

Lastly David’s desire to accomplish also causes him sometimes to be a little too hothead in competitive situations, this is a side of his personality that David isn’t too proud of as he’s control over his powers isn’t exactly perfect and sometimes in the heat of the moment he doesn’t even realize that he’s using them and gaining an advantage. This always disappoints him afterwards if he’s gained a victory. Since hindsight is always 20/20 he always feels terrible for hustling someone in this way and will usually seek an apology from the person or a rematch so he can have an attempt to win without using their knowledge and experiences.

HISTORY: PRE-APOCALYPSE David was always a bright child growing up. He’s parents noticed early on that he just seemed to pick up things faster than others whether it be math, history, or science. When it came to learning and studying he excelled. By the time David hit puberty he started catching on to subjects, and a truly anything, much faster than average kids his age. At first David didn’t notice it or find it odd. When he sat down to take a test he would suddenly find the answer just there in his head verbatim. He originally assumed that it was his hard work and studying paying off in spades. He didn’t come to find it strange until, during his sophomore year, he was at basketball practice after school. He was in a full team scrimmage when he suddenly had a thought about how we could easily zig zag his way through his team mates to attempt a very easy lay-up. As he went into motion it was like he knew what his teammates where going to attempt to do, “They want to block me this way, and force me into that defender. Then force me into a double team for attempt to stripe the ball or block my pass to my teammates”, David thought to himself. As he moved his coach was utterly surprised as this was a play he’d been thinking about implementing for weeks seeing that the kids hadn’t seemed to notice how easily they might allow someone a semi-clear path to the basket if the opposition knew where to head in their formation. David graceful moved through his teammates with the easy of a dancer very fluid and natural a step here, a spin, two steps toward the basket, push off and lay up. After practice that day the coach commended David saying that it was interesting that he’d been thinking about trying that play out for weeks, of course not for David, but for the teams star point guard. But with the way David just displayed his talents, the coach said he’d rethink it for next weeks practice. This was the first time David noticed his inherent knowledge and found it strange. David was only on the team to please his father who told him the school sports helped build a successful individual and it would help him out when he’d look at applying to colleges if he had more extracurriculars. He’d never really put any extra effort into practice or anything of the sort but he remember the feeling of being on the court it was like he could see the path before it formed based solely on how his teammates where intending to react.

The next time and final time before David was sure something was up, was when he’d overslept for a day of school only to show up in the middle of pop quiz he was completely unprepared for. He knew he was toast not only was he flustered from being late, but also he’d forgotten all about this possibility. He’d put off studying for this class last as it was his American Government AP class and it wasn’t as intriguing or fascinating to him as science or math was. As the teacher handed him the quiz she knelt down next to him to give him a few words of encouragement before he attempted to begin the quiz, but as she did David didn’t hear a word she said all he saw were the answers. There in his head just appearing on the paper all he had to do now was write them out. As he began to write he realized that he’d not done any of this reading prior to the test. He was unsure what was going on, it was like he just knew the answer without any work. His curiosity was peaked, throughout class he used this to his advantage testing it out, and he came to find that he could ask the teacher to question him on things only someone with a college level understanding of government should know and he knew it before she could even attempt to explain to him how she wouldn’t ever expect this much knowledge from him. He left this class excited, he was a genius, and he seemed to inherently know things that he never realized he’d picked up on, in the few years on this planet. As he walked out of the class and entered into the next he realized that this new knowledge quickly faded to the point where he was only retaining a few of the things he had quoted in class, from where he didn’t know. He was finding this odd until he walked into his next class AP chemistry, suddenly he head was full of equations and formulas that he didn’t recognize, nothing he’d studied or read. As the teacher went into their lesson David realized he already everything they were going to go into that day. Looking at the over view of the class he not only knew their entire lesson for the day, he knew more. He understood more about chemistry now than he had ever read or researched in the library. How, David thought he was confused by what was happening how was he able to know such things. He spent the rest of the day noticing that as he went from class to class he was able to gain a substantial understanding of whatever subject he was immersing himself in for the next 50 minutes. Every time it faded as he left the class and entered the next.

He went home skipping basketball practice in hopes to use the internet to answer his questions. As he walked in his dad was working on a new bridge design, being a civil engineer he was always constantly working on another project for the city or some surrounding town, whether it be a parking lot, road designs or his father’s favorite bridges. David walked over to greet him and begin looking at the design intriguingly, when he pointed out to his dad that if he didn’t add a few extra supports to south end of the bridge that there was potential for the structure to become unbalanced and cause undue stress onto the remaining wires meaning the bridge would last about 5 years less than if you added 2 more steel suspension wires to the south end. His dad turned to him and was excited. That was what his dad was in the process of redesigning, as he pointed down to his sketches on the table of the model with all the equations and that this is what his boss had tasked him with, finding a way to make the design last longer. David feigned like he had just guess saying it just looked better that way. But in reality all the formulas and equations were there in his head just floating their waiting to be applied to the problem at hand. He went upstairs having distracted his dad from asking about basketball practice. He quickly began googling things about latent knowledge or potentially iconic memorization. He found that what he was experiencing was new. Nothing Wikipedia or Google held the answer too. That was until he came across some works done by a Professor Charles Xavier on the mutant phenomenon and few other more recent papers by other leading scientific minds exploring the idea of mutants which weren’t unheard of but David had never truly met someone who was one. He knew from that point on he was different, he could absorb the knowledge of those around him just by being near them.

David embraced his gift at first then feeling it was unfair to use this knowledge to his advantage began to research an excuse that could get him some alone time during tests so that he could focus on using his own knowledge feeling that it was unfair to himself and to the other students to use his gift to skate by in school. So David began complaining of the basic symptoms for ADHD which allowed him to get his own testing area whenever the class would have to take any major test, while most would be embarrassed from going from being the classic smart kid to someone who needed special conditions to even focus on his test David didn’t mind it allowed him to apply his own knowledge to the tests and quizzes. He still flourished as he still applied plenty of time to his studies. Though the use of David’s power he found out that his parents were not in a solid financial spot to truly support him through college at all, so David began looking into other options and found that he’d fit well with some sort of military training thinking it’d be an easy way to afford college and get the knowledge he wished he had of his own accord. He decided on the Marine Corps because they had a very intense process that taught order and teamwork to ever recruit which were things David valued and saw the corps as a perfect fit for him. He also looked at as something that could open up the world to him with his gift he could easily find many career options which he could help out others and the world in general. He saw this as his golden opportunity. He did some research and met with different recruiters before talking to his parents about the decision his parents were not as excited as he’d hoped but understood they just didn’t want their baby going off to war or anything. So he took the admissions test and scored plenty high enough to make the marine corp. He applied and was accepted he planned to head to basic in June right after the end of high school knowing it’d take him 3 months to pass boot camp, he wanted to get into the corps as soon as he could. He was never one for waiting around for things to happen. He was chosen to go to the Parris Island Marine Corps Recruit Depot in South Carolina.

Needless to say he excelled in boot camp, as he was able to understand and comprehend everything his instructors could throw at him. No matter what the came up with David was able to find a solution through his own know how and of course their knowledge at times. David also found that this was good way to try and train himself to use his powers while doing so in secret and in an attempt to not raise any flags. He would often fail the harder of the test that his instructors put in front of him and his fellow recruits because he knew that they’d put them into these situations to fail. So he would try and live up to those expectations at times to avoid any suspicion that he had some sort of advantage over other recruits. But there were still times when the ‘heavy hat’ (Experienced Drill Instructor) would push him and his platoon to their extremes and force them to do things in the mid of night or after an already exhausting 10 or so mile run where his gift came in handy in helping his fellow recruits out of the different scenarios without the normal pains and allow them to succeed and rest. Another thing he found unable to stop was in any physical combat training David was an expert he moved like an experienced tan belt, often applying knowledge to fights that hasn’t even been told about yet. The drill instructor would often pick on him later exclaiming that he wasn’t special, saying things like you aren’t the first marine to fight like a natural. His fellow marines began to refer to him as Private Prodigy, because no matter the task you knew he would find a solution and come out victorious. This often got him in trouble whenever the heavy hat or green hat would over hear the other recruits referring to him as that. It often lead to the DI’s giving David more miles or more pushups, because as the drill instructor would say “If your fellow marines think your so special then you should live up to, give me 25” or another form of physical punishment, but David didn’t resent this he embraced it. He felt that his gift’s unfair advantage needed to be balanced with such punishments and David would embrace the punishment and physical labor. The Crucible is when David made a name for himself and his platoon. He personally helped his fellow recruits through the test with expert leadership while keeping collected under pressure in this 54 hour test. The instructors took note and would late come to David with some questions about how he was able to handle the test so well that it was the best score any platoon had received in any recent years. He just replied that he was trained to be a Marine and that he was exemplifying what it meant to be a true marine.

David was given his MOS which told him he’d qualified to become a Basic Intelligence Marine. Which meant he dealt in gathering intel on targets in the field whether it be their base of operations or a planned attack he was going top taught how to monitor communication lines and study enemy tactics to help further the success of the corps in any war time or battle scenarios. During training David had shown a knack for battle tactics and this allowed him opportunities over the time he spent in the corps to be allowed to go out into the field to gather intel at times. His platoon was dispatched for a tour of duty in Iraq February 2007 and spent a full six months deployed there. After which he returned state-side and put in a request began schooling, with his high test scores he qualify for an program that allowed him to be placed on the marine’s reserve list and attend college and while still participating in active duty one weekend each month, two weeks in a full year. David was accepted at NYU were he began studying in a dual degree of Computer Science and Mechanical Engineering.

In early 2008 with the explosion in Mutant town and the rise of the sentinel program, David began to worry about his secret being discovered. In December He gets an order to report to the Albany marine base for a new physical test that all Marines were being required to take. David finds this odd that there would be a new physical exam required of a marine on the reserve list but orders were orders. He reported in the following weekend for the physical. This turned out to be screening process based on members of the military that scored higher than the norm in different areas in an attempt to find mutants already employed and trained by the government for a something David had never heard of SHIELD. He passed their test as he proved to be a mutant and was offer a position in this secret branch. David saw this as a chance to come to terms with being mutant and being free to explore his power with feeling he was gaining too unfair of advantage over others. So began the life of Prodigy agent of SHIELD.

DURING APOCALYPSE (April 7th through April 12th, 2009) Prodigy had been in the middle of a mission for SHIELD when the Apocalypse hit. David dropped all he was doing and absconded with a SHIELD hover-car he’d been assigned for the mission and immediately went to his parents’ house in Chicago. It was the first he could think to go with the reports that were coming in. The horsemen of apocalypse had Prodigy’s head spinning thinking the worst as he closed in on Chicago. After finding his parents a wreck over the news that had been reported before the massive black out’s Prodigy decided to take them one of the only safe places he could think of. A small outpost hidden in the wilderness of northern Minnesota, Prodigy only knew of this as it was used mainly for espionage intel. Prodigy’s plan was to find personnel there and try and get in touch with his superiors about what had happened. David’s parents were shocked by what David had to explain to them about how he hadn’t been a marine for a few months now nor actively working on his degrees in computer science and engineering. When he arrived at the installation he found that it must’ve been evacuated as it was empty. Prodigy removed some of his SHIELD toys form the hover-car to hack into the security panel. Using one Fury’s security codes to deactivate the security sensors, and he lead his family into the small intelligence base. He then tried to make contact with his superior’s like a good solider to no avail the world was in a mess it truly was the apocalypse. David decided the best plan was to hide in all the chaos and hope Commander Fury would find a solution or reach out for help. So Prodigy hid, monitoring secure SHIELD channels, some that Fury had shown him, hoping for word from anyone. In the meantime he also monitored what media was still available watching in horror as people were ravaged by the horsemen of the apocalypse. This is where Prodigy remained for the remained of the week, using the stations backup generator and constantly monitoring channels for any sign from anyone or anyone looking for help or rescue, but no one ever reported. There were a few supplies left in the station that allowed for him and his parents and his sister to survive in this small base. After the EMP there was small chatter explains the Apocalypse had been defeated. David knew this meant it was time to rebuild and he would help with the effort he began transmitting a signal on SHIELD monitored channels using his call sign and looking for orders. He received some and it was to help rebuild.

POST-APOCALYPSE Prodigy helped SHIELD recover in the aftermath of the apocalypse. He started to work out of the small espionage base figuring out a way to ping any SHIELD agents’ tracker, which most had on them somewhere. He assisted in the rescue of some 100 agent and potentially countless more, but his main goal was to find Fury the commander of SHIELD to no avail. He was unsuccessful in this endeavor and mourned the loss of this great man as did other when the time came. Prodigy was wary of Hodge’s promotion and was not as understand as most of his ‘new’ intolerance of mutants, although he kept that opinion to himself. After the initial rescues Prodigy set out working on a helicarrier to fix worldwide communications along with the rest of the SHIELD tech division. Soon after prodigy was placed back into his normal role in the espionage division working behind a computer and a gun as he had been trained and had done in the months prior to apocalypse. But as Hodge began to distrust mutants more and more Prodigy saw less and less field work and more desk work. This dissatisfied Prodigy as he felt he was well suited to excel at both and better he would say than most at obtain knowledge in the field especially when it came to live targets with holding info.

Prodigy was tasked mainly with keeping tabs on the different active mutant groups. Hodge assuming that Prodigy should understand the motivations of his own kind and Prodigy accepted this task he wanted to see no unjust harm come to those of his species. But Prodigy couldn’t help but blame himself when intel came across his desk that they’d discovered the hideout of the brotherhood and Magneto without his help. Prodigy was asked to give his recommendation to Hodge of whether or not the intel seemed legit. For all intents and purposes Prodigy couldn’t find any reason for this intel to not be from a valid source no one on his team could. On that fateful day Prodigy was monitoring the coms through a hack in the system, he was supposed to be dealing with other things; Hodge had told him this business was above his pay grade. David was so distraught about the events that unfolded as he listened to the com chatter. He was not surprised when Alex Summers tried to exclaim to Hodge that it was a trap. It all happened so quickly and Prodigy wished he’d been there to help surely he could’ve help figure out the plot before it was too late, but it was too late as the coms channel was over coming with the sound of an explosion and then a terrifying *click*. Prodigy immediately began accessing SHIELD satellites over Coney Island to see if he could see what had happened and the answer worse than his fears. Magneto had detonated a bomb hidden in murder world that had been his plan all along. He done it he’d lead SHIELD head first into one of the largest booby traps prodigy had ever seen. Prodigy immediately alerted the person in charge of his helicarrier of the disaster and helped in the recovery yet again too late to help prevent any damage. Prodigy felt some blame afterwards and took a leave from SHIELD after helping with what he could in the recovery. While on leave Prodigy was approach by SHIELD agents yet again, but this time they had orders from Maria Hill, a name David wasn’t familiar with yet. She wanted him back and working espionage again. Something was different about this one. The men that came with the order had met her and form their impression she seemed different and Legit almost like a woman after Fury’s own heart. So Prodigy accepted the orders and met with Maria in Japan aboard her helicarrier. Where he began work as an agent of SHIELD again. Operating in the shadows.

SAMPLE RP POST: This is a fictional event does not depict an actually event as far as continuity.

The first thing the doctor did was have him perform all the usual stuff reflexes heart rate and blood pressure, finally he told him to lay back as part of the new exam was a blood test. Then after that he was told there were more test to be run in the next room. It seemed like a standard gym room, there was another doctor in this room who seemed to be very interested in David’s record from basic as he seemed to have it memorized and this made David feel uneasy. The man asked him to preform simple tasks like pushups, jumping jacks, and dead lifts. His expression seemed to become less and less interested as David preformed to the norm, nothing extraordinary here.

Then finally was told that he’d have to pass a combat test. That was odd it was not ever protocol to have to re-qualify for MCMAP so this was something different. Knowing he hadn’t fallen out of practice David compiled walking into the next room, which was designed like a normal MCMAP sparring room padded walls and floors, with punching bag and a few dummies at the far end of the room. Although this room had a balcony on the one side which David assumed was for instructors to monitor grunts while being trained. As David walked into the center of the room form the opposite door David had come through walked two very athletically built instructors, at least he assumed that they were instructors. Immediately David was filled with their knowledge, they weren’t marines, which was odd. They didn’t analyze him like a marine or like any other military personnel he’d ever met, they were some other military branch. They belonged to something called SHIELD.

An acronym he didn’t recognize, and that was all the processing David did before without any warning or mention one threw a low front kick aimed at his solar plexus while the other attempted to position himself behind David. Unfortunately for these men David had felt the maneuver coming he’d seen the man’s plan, his methods his style and technique, David’s body knew this man even before David even realized it, it was his ability taking over. On pure instinct alone David took a step towards the kicker and to the right so that he’d be able to catch the kicker off guard and continue with his fluid motion He caught the fully extend leg that had intended to lend squarely in David’s solar plexus. David then holding the man’s leg dropped his own center of gravity so he could life the man off balance and off the support of his other leg, as he felt the knowledge of the other trainer who was also attacking David simultaneously. David lifted the first trainer by his leg and swung him around towards the second, colliding the two into each other. Then David stepped back from these men they hadn’t attempted to communicate to him to begin the exercise , and they didn’t have pads and neither did David. This was something different. After another of these men switching their fighting styles from judo, to jujitsu, to krav maga with flawless execution, all the while David was countering very fluidly even using techniques from these fighting styles that he’d never been trained in against these men, the test only last about 5 or so minutes. The men were well trained they landed a good handful of solid blows on David and each time he was able to counter them as to not be taken of advantage of, since he was out numbered. A man came into the room “Stand down men, he’s passed.” David had never seen this man before, but suddenly he was flooded with his knowledge. This man was SHIELD, he was their leader he was General Nicholas Joseph Fury, Commander of SHIELD, which he now knew meant Strategic Homeland Intervention, Enforcement and Logistics Division.

Hi Joe,

First of all, apologies for the wait. Sometimes real life bites and we get a little busy.

Anyway, on to your app.

1. Your picture must not be hotlinked. You need to save any images you use to your computer, then load them to an image host, then post them that way. Remember to put the name of who you are using underneath your profile image as well.

2. What do you mean by he is registered privately with SHIELD? He’s a SHIELD agent, there would be no private about it.

3. What are the modifications to his uniform? If it is something to purely to make him look badass, then no. If it is something to help with his powers, that’s fine.

4. Alright, the powers. The 80 foot radius is seriously huge and I’d suggest cutting it down to a more canonlike 20 foot radius. The amount of people (five) that he can copy from is fine.

Also, you state that he can only perform feats to the best of his personal physical ability from the knowledge he learns, yet in his history this is contradicted by the stunts he pulls in training with the marines. Please remove these references or make them more in line with his actual powers.

5. Okay, as far as the history goes, it’s mainly fine up until he decides to enrol in the Marines. Done right, I’ll allow this and I’ll even let pass that he was able to use his powers to be a great tactical mind and problem solver, but you’re going to have to tone back the rest of it. The fact he can do anything, beat anything, rise to any challenge and be the guy who pulls his team through, leading them to success and helping them all along. I would accept this kind of prowess in some kind of academic situation, but this doesn’t balance out so well in the military. People would notice this kind of thing beyond giving him twenty five push ups as punishment and I am surprised that he went unnoticed as a mutant.

Basically, tone this back. You also mention a deployment but you don’t go into how that effected him, what he thought about it or anything other than he went for six months, came back and transferred to school. Deployment isn’t such a throwaway subject. Explain or get rid.

SHIELD is public knowledge. I’m a little confused by the whole secrecy surrounding his recruitment and his ignorance to their existence when they have been around for decades. Please change up this section so it works. He can apply himself to be in SHIELD without the cloak and dagger routine of him being put through special tests.

Right, Apocalypse. He effectively goes AWOL with SHIELD property, which is no small matter. Especially at a time of national crisis this would be a grievous offence. This section doesn’t make much sense in terms of Prodigy acting as a proper agent and has him breaking so many rules and regulations that I can’t even keep track. At the very least he would be court-martialled and not start working with the espionage section afterwards. Please rework this section, else have Prodigy face the repercussions of his actions.

Overall it isn’t a bad application, but it suffers a lot from ‘Prodigy is awesome’ which isn’t hard to end up doing given the nature of the character, so I’m not faulting you. Just try to be a little more careful when it comes to balancing out. You have the right of it in the section about the situation at Murderworld for instance, where he knows something is wrong but he can’t get through and he’s helpless. Work on the Marines relevant history, remember SHIELD is decades old and don’t have him taking off in Apoc unless you’re actually going to have him punished for the crimes.

I apologise for the length of this crit; it’s not meant to slam you or anything of the sort. We’re a big site with a lot of history and it can be a little difficult to know everything at once. As such, if you need any help you can contact a staff member at any time and we’ll be happy to assist. Otherwise, please post a response to this thread when you’re done with the edits. Thanks.
