CLOTHING STYLE: Julian's arrogance and self-belief are not lost when it comes to his sense of style. He always wears expensive branded clothing, no matter the occasion and is usually found in an impeccably tailored fit shirt, strides and patent leather shoes. He will on occasion be seen in sunglasses, even if it's not the weather for them, and when the heavens are less forgiving, a long wool coat. Keller will wear a tie and suit which is again usually tailored fit and direct from Hugo Boss, but only if the occasion warrants it. Julian will sometimes be seen in more casual attire, jeans and a t-shirt however if there is one thing that Julian values most is first impressions, and as such, Julian looks as good as he can manage at all times.
UNIFORM: Julian has been known to don a uniform during his tenure at Xavier's mansion, however he considers the look a little blasé. That said if he was forced to once again don his former attire then he would be dressed in a tight fitted, body hugging crimson latex uniform with a black 'x' emblazoned on the chest and black sections fitted under his arms. He also wears crimson coloured combat gloves, and is sometimes known to utilise a jacket in similar design - it just depends on what mood he is in.

POWERS

GENERAL DESCRIPTION: Hellion is considered a first-class Telekinetic, highly skilled and powerful even with current mind blocks in place. Able to move solid matter with a mere thought, Julian has progressed to the point where he is able to fly at subsonic speeds, create small kinetic shields, unleash powerful blasts of telekinetic force and manipulate objects from a distance.

If the blocks were unlocked, then Julian would be able to reach a flight speed of at least twice the speed of sound, although it would severely strain him physically. His ability to effectively focus his powers would also be greatly hampered, and he would effectively need to relearn his manipulation of his powers in order to find the stability he had once before.

Any use of his abilities will result in a green aura surrounding his body, and his eyes glowing an almost bright white-green.

Telekinesis: Julian is basically merely a Telekinetic, everything he is able to do stems from his ability to alter or more the environment around him with his mind. This enables him to manipulate matter with the energy of his own thoughts. Because of his training at the mansion, Julian is capable of a very fine control over many objects, including himself. Thus able to levitate great weights, upwards of ten tons, though with clear physical cost to himself.

Another use of his telekinesis is his ability to project the telekinetic energies into a ball of energy that he is able to blast as a beam, directed from his body that will impact with concussive force. The strength of such a blast would be varied, dependent on the power Julian focuses behind, as well as the young man's fatigue levels. The impact may feel akin to that of a punch, or be as indomitable as a car slamming into your body at speeds of around 100mph.

Defensively, when protecting himself, Keller has been able to construct forcefields to protect both he and those around him. Thanks to his training, Julian is able to precisely shift the size and shape of the protective shield. The shape and size also plays little effect on the strength of the protective barrier, however it does lie keenly linked to the man's physical condition, thus if Julian is weakened or tired, then the shield will quickly deteriorate. Currently Keller is limited when projecting a shield, with it having to be within ten meter radius of his body. It may be possible that should his his mental blocks be removed then Julian could be able to create a stronger protective energy field that would allow him to filter bacteria from the air, withstand atmospheric pressures, and even withstand a nuclear level blast.

Also Julian is able to manifest and create constructs that would help clear out locations or provide a platform to move others from place to place. His control is so that he can conjure a disc of energy that can allow others to use this unusual method of travelling. The discs can be conjured in a variety of shapes, and is able to be up to around fifteen foot round in circumference.

Lastly, Julian's power allow him the ability to fly. He does this with his mind, and is able to levitate his body and then propel it through the air at considerably high speeds and for long distances. Currently he is able to reach subsonic speeds and can on average travel approximately four hundred miles, before he would need to stop.

Unblocked Mental Bounds: If Julian were ever able to find someone that would be able to unlock the mind blocks that have been placed the young Hellion, then his aptitude and ability would take a sudden and quick change. Not only would his levels be improved, but the sudden influx of such power would render his control useless past the most basic of levels. As such though he would be able to feasibly do more, Julian would need to relearn everything he had once more and it would take months if not years for him to find the level of control he currently enjoys.

WEAKNESS: Julian is an average sized five-ten male. He can be killed, injured and hurt if caught off guard or ambushed, and though he has a great ability, if he was knocked out, or disorientated then his power of control would be broken, and render him fairly defenceless. The biggest weakness of Julian however remains to be himself. Arrogant, head-strong, egotistical, Julian has a hot-streak and a temper to match, and if were ever pushed, could quite quickly lose his grasp of control and thus the ability of his telekinesis. Though he has become extremely competent during his tenure at Xavier's, much of his abilities rely heavily on Julian's state of mind and composure. If he's not focused, calm and cool, then chances are, he's as easy to deal with as the average Joe.

PERSONALITY
Julian is a young man that is at odds not only with himself, but of society and the world around him. A product of a family besotted on personal wealth, obsessed with opinions and self image, his upbringing stems from nepotism, where youngsters are given favouritism regardless of their actual talent or merit simply because of whom their parents are. Julian's discontent stems from a childhood where he never felt close to his parents, especially his father who has been a distant and cold figure throughout his life. This if anything has had more of an impact than anything on the psyche and mindset of Julian Keller.

With his parents often travelling and away from home, Julian was often left at home under the care of a nanny. Always the attention seeker, the child became quickly rebellious, rude, argumentative as he strived for the attention of his parents. At school Julian made very few friends unable to form the relationships having mostly had an early life where he knew only three or four people. Even though now an adult, those early years have left such a scar on Julian, that he still craves attention, pushes boundaries and forces issues, as his rebellious and restless nature demands.

Though Julian is egotistical and clearly a womaniser, arrogant and narcissistic when it comes down to it Julian does actually hate who he is. He is riddled with insecurities thanks to his strained relationship with his parents. Self doubt can sometimes cripple him, and any chance of escape is often sought. Drugs, especially Kick, is never to far away from the young man, even though he has tried to drop the habit in the past. Keller is self-destructive in nearly every way, usually unable to form simple friendships with most people he meets, thus he keeps people at a distance and rarely lets anyone know what he truly thinks of himself, the world or those he does have feelings for.

Where in lies the enigma of Julian 'Hellion' Keller; under Julian's poisonous exterior, is a young man that cares deeply for those people that he has managed to form some resemblance of friendship with. In truth he could be the best friend anyone would hope to have, loyal to a fault and actually able to be selfless to those he cares for, gladly doing anything for them. The problem for Julian remains that people rarely want to stay close to him for that long. As such, Julian remains to be seen as cold and spiteful, a young man that hates rules, authority and boundaries. Always seen as a troublemaker that refuses to lose and would willingly do anything to succeed, as Julian entered into his early twenties subconsciously chasing death, he became unable to envision a place for himself within modern society.

All in all, Julian Keller is his own worse enemy.

HISTORY: PRE-APOCALYPSE
Julian Keller was born in the sunny city of Beverly Hills, California; the son of business magnates William and Elizabeth Keller. Julian was one of two children, his older sibling, James was four years his senior. Keller's paternal grandparents were French immigrants who decided to flee Europe upon the outbreak of the Second World War, and both soon became naturalised American citizens during the 1950's.

Julian's childhood was one of privilege, his family was wealthy with both his father and mother real-estate developers amassing properties in the Los Angeles and New York City areas during the economic crash of the 1980s. Julian's upbringing however was far from happy. Often away from his parents due to their work commitments and constant travelling, thus the only adult figure that Julian actually had in his early life was the family nanny.

When the child was fortunate to be with his parents however, his energy and fervour for their attention and affection often fell on deaf ears, with both William and Elizabeth seeming distant and cold towards their children. By contrast to the quiet, cautious and introverted James, Julian became quite the handful, over-zealous, boisterous and noisy, he pushed his parent's patience and tolerance levels frequently.

By the age of four, Julian like his brother began attending the local elementary school in Beverly Hills. His mischievous and rude behaviour was quickly commented on by his teachers, citing that the child was seemingly unable to socially interact with his peers as would be expected. This raucous and rebellious streak would remain with Julian throughout his life though surprisingly, the child's academical ability was the opposite of what was expected of such an unruly child, with Julian excelling in Mathematics, History and Science.

It was these grades that would allow the twelve year old Julian to attend seventh grade at the prestigious Harvard-Westlake School in Los Angeles, California. Keller was arrogant, head-strong and already beginning to show a self-destructive tendency in terms to his relationships with others and his education. Relating to others was always something Julian found difficult, never learning simple social etiquettes that a mother and father would teach, would render Julian blunt and critical of his peers. It was also during this time, that Julian actively encouraged anti-Mutant sentiments, through thoughtless and careless slander, not ever realising what he actually was.

His desire to win the approval of his father would see attention-seeking Keller push his limits, feeling himself invulnerable to failure, and it wasn't long before Julian found himself having difficulties at the prestigious school. With his behaviour leading the boy into several altercations with his peers, along with a stunt that would embarrass the school amongst its rivals, Julian's parents were soon called in to meet with the Head of the School to discuss Julian's recent behaviour. Fortunately for him, his grades never suffering, saw the child only suspended, but the shame it brought to William saw the father berate his child for such scandalous behaviour.

The break-down in the relationship between Julian and William Keller would be the thing that would unhinge the volatile youth. When Julian turned seventeen years old, once again his father and mother were out of town, on business in New York. Angry at the latest shun, Julian broke into his father's garage and upon stealing the keys to a 1965 Mustang G.T., decided to take William's prized vehicle out for a joy ride.

Making his way down to the Los Angeles River culvert, a location well-known for street races amongst youths, Keller arrogantly showed off his father's vehicle and abrasively challenged the other drivers there. Eventually, another would meet Keller's challenge, and during the race, Keller outmatched, swerved to try and force the other driver off road. Unfortunately for Keller, the driver swerved out of the way, and instead of Julian colliding into the side of a Toyota, he span out of control.

With the car violently spinning, and on-course to impact a bridge column, with his life about to blinked out existence, Keller feared the worst, however suddenly, the entire vehicle stopped dead. Staring in disbelief at the sudden change, Julian noticed that there was a green aura foggily floating across his form, and manifesting around the vehicle. Slowly, he got out of the car, only to see the green mist fade, and the car resume it's deathly course.

In a terrible explosion of gas, flames and metal, his father's Mustang G.T. crashed into the bridge column, and the resultant boom of force, threw Keller off his feet. Rising with bruises and cuts, onlookers were amazed at how lucky the youth was. After being questioned by the L.A.P.D as to what happened, Keller never mentioned the sudden green glow, and upon his parents return was quickly taken home as his father released a press statement to address the media circus that had gathered given the nearly fatal incident that had befallen Julian Keller, now seen as the Black Sheep of the Keller Business Empire.

William was naturally furious, once more critical of his son's childish antics. Though when Julian tried to explain exactly how he defied death, both his mother and father dismissed it as nonsense and advised him to keep it to himself. Feeling as cut off from his family than ever, Julian became ever more volatile, his behaviour at school noticeably deteriorated, far worse than normal, to the point where Keller was finally expelled from the prestigious school.

Once more shame was cast upon William Keller, and once more the father was severe with his youngest child, lambasting him with a sharp and scolding tirade, Julian unexpectedly tapped into his latent mutant abilities and emanated the eery green glow around the young man's body once more, before suddenly the light bulbs in the room where the Keller's were standing would each pop. In the face of his mother and father, with small glass shards splashing across the lounge, Julian became the personification of everything that his parents would want to hide from the public's knowledge and society's media circus.

Within days and without his approval, Keller was shipped off to Xavier's.

Life at the mansion mirrored life in school and at home for Julian. Spiteful to those around him, critical of the standard of teaching, rebellious to the setting he found himself in, Julian Keller quickly became the disliked outcast. Now having had telepathic limits imposed onto his raw powers, Julian began to learn control of his telekinetic abilities. His aptitude and quick learning saw Julian progress quickly, and in an effort to focus the young man's potential he was chosen to take part in one of many of the institutes training squads, playfully named 'Hellions' amongst the students, a name Keller would take as a personal moniker.

Though inexperienced and young, the arrogant Keller had already learned to employ his genetic mutation in a variety of inventive ways, including flight, concussive blasts as well as the creation of telekinetic shields and transport platforms. However his self-destructive streak would once again come back to haunt him, although beginning to find some focus in his new student life, the wild child, party boy antics of Julian Keller was never far away and when he learned that fellow mutant student Bobby Drake was dabbling in Kick, (the street name of the highly addictive and dangerous drug; Hypercortisone D) Hellion was quickly coerced into taking it.

The rush invigorated the young Hellion, his body feeling alive, tingling with a green aura and coupled with such giddy high that would trigger a boost in the youth's telekinetic aptitude, he felt like a god amongst men and the seductive allure of the drug became an every day escape from the mundane; an escape from life in the mansion, and more importantly an escape from life as the son of William Keller. The dangers attributed to the drug only fuelled Keller's lust for the unnatural intoxication.

It was during a Kick binge that Julian offered to fly not only himself, but also six classmates to the sunnier climate of Barbados, for a life of care-free fun and no responsibilities. Unfortunately for Keller, the young Hellion's antics were quickly noticed and it wasn't long before Scott Summers, along with assistance from S.H.I.E.L.D managed to locate the unruly group of mutants. Cyclops was quick to admonish the youngsters for their foolhardy behaviour, yet this vilification would only serve to antagonise Keller, who saw Scott as merely another follower of the establishment rather the protector of those few that had now fallen under the scrutiny of S.H.I.E.L.D.

Escorted back to the mansion, punishment was imposed on the rebellious group, as well as rehabilitation for their drug habits. Julian was kept under close observation, given no freedom as he was placed in a cell within the basement of the mansion until he was finally clean of any traces of Kick in his system. Aside from staring at very dull walls all day long, the only other vices he was allowed was simple study.

DURING APOCALYPSE (April 7th through April 12th, 2009)
It was during his detox that Julian's life would quickly be put on the line. This time however it was not down to his own selfish fault, as the entity known as Apocalypse unleashed hell on earth. With Julian still confined to the mansion, his first impulse to the tragedy that was unfolding was for he to join his peers and fight the onslaught that had befallen those at Xavier's. Unfortunately for Julian, trust in the young Hellion was still very low, and instead he was chosen to protect the younger students that were still at the mansion. Disgusted with the task he saw no more as mere 'babysitting', Julian's disdain and unrest only grew.

With the X-Men forced to vacate the mansion, young students and non-combatants were evacuated from the site. Julian was assigned to the second wave of evacuees. Boarding the quinjet, it was during the flight from Westchester County that the aircraft would be hit by an EMP blast that would render the vessel's electrics and electronic systems inoperable, damaged by sudden and violent power surges. The quinjet began to fall from the sky.

Julian along with Noriko Ashida and the assistance of other students on-board the quinjet immediately sprang into action, using their mutant abilities to help keep the craft in the air. Keller himself was pushed to his physical limit, using every vestige of energy to focus his telekinesis on holding the vessel together. The strain it put on Hellion was nearly overwhelming yet through the efforts of he, Nori, Meggan and others, the jet was safely landed, and those on-board it escaped with little more than frayed nerves and a scratch.

Julian saw himself in a new light, as a hero - and he loved every minute of it.

POST-APOCALYPSE
After the events of Apocalypse, life predictably returned to it's mundane normal. Julian found himself becoming quickly restless, having tasted just a brief moment of adjuration and appreciation from his peers, he was hungry to get his next fix of being a hero. This was not unnoticed by those within the mansion, with Emma Frost taking an especial interest in the young Keller, noticing not only his aptitude for the heroic, but perhaps more importantly Julian's frightening disposition for personal gain and villainy.

Approaching Keller, Frost invited him to join her at the Hellfire Club. At the prestigious locale, Keller found himself in awe of the surroundings, the trappings of wealth literally dripped from the walls and left him longing to be part of it. Though little would come of it, and Julian would leave with more questions than answers, the event clearly left an impression on the young Hellion who was now more than ever determined to leave his mark on the world.

It was around this time that Julian would meet perhaps the only person he ever allowed to see just who Julian Keller really was. When he learned of the null-cuffed red-haired female that was escorted to the mansion by S.H.I.E.L.D, curiosity piqued his interest. What he found was a girl that not only challenged his thoughts on the world, but also of himself. Striking up an unlikely friendship with Theresa Rourke, their relationship though sometimes poisonous and spiteful has been one of the few things that Keller has become quite protective of.

Things took an unusual turn for the worst concerning Julian's life inside the mansion, when unbeknownst to he and many, another world began to warp and collide with that of our own. With realities becoming twisted and truths becoming vague, an alternative 'Julian' from the world designated WwX, found himself in an unfamiliar school on the world of XmR. Whilst at the school, 'Julian' found himself entangled and manipulated by the unsuspecting Layla Miller. Confusing 'Julian' with her own ideals and opinions, she quickly managed to manipulate the fiery youth into attacking Tommy Shepherd.

The assault on Shepherd was brutal, vicious and savage, which left the youngster within an inch of his own life, before 'Julian' was finally stopped. Placed in null-cuffs and confined to youth's room, word of his wild and heinous attack spread like wild-fire. When Joshua Foley learned of the assault, he became furious and dealt his own justice on the defenceless 'Julian'. The resultant scuffle was just as brutal as the one inflicted on Tommy, and it was only thanks to the interference of Kurt Wagner, that Joshua was stopped.

When 'Julian' lay in the infirmary, the world once again glitches and shifts, reverting back to normality as minds and bodies returned to what they should be. Julian of XmR awoke in the infirmary, confused and bewildered as to how and why he was there. In the days following, the young Keller would learn of what had happened, yet the tale left Hellion feeling bitter and ostracised, and so he soon left the mansion.

Upon leaving the mansion, now in his twenties, Julian returned to his family's estate in California. Though his father was questioning of his son's motives for his sudden and unexpected return, his mother Elizabeth was surprisingly receptive to her child. With a competent if clearly unimpressive education now bestowed upon the young Hellion, Julian managed to eventually convince his father in allowing him to join the family's business empire.

With the economic crash of 2010 in full swing, Julian was assigned to shadow his brother James Keller, and under the guidance of both William and James, become a useful addition to Keller & Sons. Now back on the east coast once more, based in New York City, Julian worked hard to curry favour with his father by frequenting the New York Hellfire Club, and securing deals with several prominent land developers in New York state. Unbeknownst to Julian however, the developers that were securing such arrangements with Keller was done so at the behest of Black King, Max Coleridge, who wished to have the youngest of the Keller's indebted to him. Also, completely unknown to Julian Keller, was that his father was actually a non-ranking member Hellfire Club himself, which was the reason for his sudden rise from rags to riches.

The striking change in the demeanour and attitude of Julian pleasantly surprised his parents, especially after his seemingly brilliant business deals were established. Unfortunately such joy could only ever be short lived. Now often travelling across the globe to places like Dubai, Tokyo, London and Stuttgart, as he undertook meeting clients and making deals; the restless nature of Julian Keller began to once more eat away at his confidence. Finding his life becoming dull and mundane, even though he has found some success within his family's business empire, rumours of the playboy Julian Keller's wild escapades are beginning to grow in more frequency.

Though he has kept some ties to his past as a student at Xavier's mansion, Keller's disdain with the world kept him from truly embracing the ideal of an X-Man, or even returning to the mansion. Instead soaked in a life of money and privilege, whilst he struggles to find his own path, Julian rushes head-strong into the dark once more, inviting trouble as he pushes his limit.

Julian was in California when the Purifiers launched their devastating attack on the mansion in Westchester. He was notified a day after the attack after he received a message from Terry. Julian was torn. He hadn't been at the mansion in weeks, and was riddled with guilt for not being there in a moment of such desperation and even more so when he learned who the attackers were. Having heard that the Purifiers were extremist Homosapiens that wanted rid of the mutant kind, Julian was only reminded of his own foolish and callous behaviour as youth, when he would stupidly chant the same ideology at school.

He left California immediately to head for Westchester yet as he drove towards the smoking rubble of what was his former home, his guilt only grew worse, and unable to face Terry or any of the others at the mansion, Julian kept his distance. Upon being informed of the funerals taking place for those that had perished in the attack, Keller forced himself to attend the memorial out of respect, yet once again made sure to keep his distance from everyone, merely watching from afar before leaving quickly and quietly.

The self loathing led him into a downward-spiral of depression, where only vices served as a means of escape. Revisiting his bad habits, he once again began to use drugs recreationally, and was at a loss for words after the deathly attack of the Sentinels just weeks later. Disgusted with himself for not being able to be the friend he desperately wanted to be for those that had been brave enough to stand against the Sentinels and Nimrod only served to make the man become more angry, at himself, at his parents and at the world as a whole.

His views on the world were becoming darker, angry at the destructive few that seemed hell bent at destroying what good he did see in the world and him being unable to prevent such disaster as he had hoped, made him more volatile and poisonous than before. This self-destructing look on life and those around him systematically cuts him off from realising the potential he clearly has.

SAMPLE RP POST:
The spots of light stretched out for as far as the eye could see as Julian Keller stood silently staring out of the large windows on the fifty-seventh floor of the Keller & Son's tower. The office, his office was shrouded in darkness, that only served to mirror the feelings that had begun bubbling under the young man's surface, his gaze drifting as he observed the scurry of New York City inhabitants hurrying like the ants they appeared to be, so far beneath him. Slowly, subconsciously his view continued to roll along the east bank, past the frenzy of South Street Seaport, until his gaze locked firmly towards southern Brooklyn.

Towards Mutant Town.

A small cold bead of sweat trickled down the middle of his neck as he grew conscious of exactly what his blue eyed stare had fallen on, the lights of the Mutant haven lay coaxing him from afar, poking at his existence, annoying him as his tight clench around the cool tumbler that was gripped in hand shook, causing the blocks of ice to clatter and break the man's stare.

Disgust quickly replaced the man's ire, disgust at the pitiful lives that lived barely surviving in Mutant Town, disgust at those that served Mutant Town until eventually, disgust at himself for being so weak. Lifting the chilled glass to his lips, the man sucked down the musty flavoured bourbon whiskey, the accompanied sting touching the back of his throat as he swallowed down the black labelled liquid, hoping it's fire would numb his senses and deafen his thoughts though it did neither.

Contempt and self-loathing was once more eating at his insides as he placed the small glass aside, forcing his gaze away from the east river and towards the Hudson, only for him to pause on the glowing visage of the Liberty Statue. Her arm lifted, piercing the heavens with a bright artificial flame, the Lady defiant in the darkness of the New York night, standing for peace, freedom and independence. And just like her torch, values that today were just as artificial.

The cold bead of sweat slither down the young man's spine, as he stood at the stature mocking his very existence. Anger was quick to his hand, keen to flood his thoughts with a red fire as he span on his heel and exited the office into a large elevator. The soothing music was anything but calming, merely further frustrating as he kept pounding at the ground level button, hoping to drive the lift down far quicker than the mechanised gears would normally allow.

Julian had to escape. Not just the office, and the business headquarters for the New York branch of Keller & Son's, not just the false sense of hopeful existence that lady liberty represented; Julian wanted to escape everything, his family, society, himself. Barely had the bronze, copper coloured doors begun to peel back did the man pace out, ignoring the doorman as he span through the revolving doorway of the tower, hopping into his Ferrari 458 Spider, and with a flick of his wrist, and stamp of his foot, speed off into the New York night, his heading Mutant Town; and his next Kick fix.

As far as I am aware, everyone who is involved in this app has given their permission, aside from those who already posted here.

We are waiting on some confirmation of Hellfire Ciub details, but as soon as that is all sorted, I am happy on this app and so am giving it a STAMP.

Hellion - May 29, 2012 11:43 PM (GMT)
As requested, I've ironed out those HFC details with regards to the deals and Keller Snr. I've also amended a few bits here and there to expand on certain events.
