J O E
This month we’d like to recognize one of XMR’s longest term members. He’s been here forever and ever, and is a staple presence here in this little thing of ours. That’s why the June Player of the Month is none other than XMR’s very own Joe.
Always a pleasant face in the cbox, Joe’s quick with a joke or to show you around when you’re new, and eager to thread with any and all, offering quick but well written posts with all of his characters. He’s a good person and, if I can inject a bit of my own personal experience here, a pretty damn good friend. Of course this isn’t all about just Joe himself. His characters have been pretty darn active these past few months, not to mention on a roller coaster of emotion due to the machinations of the quickly mounting Site-Wide. Rahne Sinclair, almost always unshakeable in her faith in the greater good, has found herself stuck between the joyous announcement of her beaux’s intent to marry her and the potential loss of a friend. Madison Jeffries, everyone’s favorite introvert, has been robbed of years upon years of work, destroyed in an instant by rogue powers gone amok. And then there is Sabertooth. The killer cat has flown the SHIELD coop and struck up an alliance with a new partner in crime, ready to strike out at the world with ruthless aggression and savage purpose. I speak for more than just myself when I say that we look forward to the stories that stem from these crazy developments.
Not just confined to these three, Joe’s NPC work has been wonderful as well. The Sagely Karnak, the Savage Ch’Od, and the Sinister Mole Man have all had interesting stories to tell in the past year or so of XMR lore. There are also rumblings of the addition of a certain Scottish Scientist soon entering the fray.
