Title: A blind titan (TITAN)
Ruth - April 9, 2008 03:00 AM (GMT)
Place in the time line: late night April 10
Most people would know that is those people who had some amount of common sense would know better than to be wandering one of the many streets that make up North Salem. Especially when the world knew at large you were a student of the prestigius Xavier's school for th gifted mutant. Which most likely implied that you were a mutant. Yes most people would have known bettert than to go gallavanting out at night, but then again Ruth Aldine better known to her peers as the complex Blindfold was not like the rest.
Ruth couldn't have been more different from her fellow students if she tried. Being able to perceive the minds of others and have periodic visions had warped the young girl's mind making her view the world differently. Perhaps that was why no one could ever understand the way she talked, and the reason behind why she so willingly dressed like a 1950's fortune teller. Yes and maybe just maybe that was the reason the young blind girl was out on this dark and dreary night. Wandering what seems like aimlessly down one of the worst streets in all the city.
"Yo mamasita what you doing out here. Don't you know t'ain't no place for a lil g'rl You come with Julio he and his boyz be taken extra gud carez of you!!"
If Ruth Aldine heard the man she made no acknowledgement of his presence. In fact she simply gracefully walked on past him as a fierce wind blew from nowhere entangling her long dark treces. Angered by this act of humiliation Julio snapped as he launched his hand to grasp that of Ruth's forcing her closer to him. Again Ruth made no acknowledgement of his existence as she simply tilted her head to the side looking in the direction she was walking in. How could this man know that Ruth was blind that no matter what she could never meet the gaze in his own eyes for she herself had no eyes to see. Tightening the grip around her wrist so much so it caused Ruth's face to contort in pain as she let out a cry of pain. A cry that was like music to the thug who simply continued to apply preasure to her wrist.
"YEs It will hurt badly, but Don't worry Please. Pardon but you can come now please. "

It was late out—much too late for Vincent to feel comfortable about not being back at the school. He had been at a show that had lasted a few hours longer than it was supposed to, and was dead certain that he would be in trouble. The idea made him feel terrible, but he would understand if Mr. Grey-Summers would give him a detention or extra Danger Room sessions. Vincent could have easily left before time slipped away from him, yet hadn’t.
He was just thankful that his car was working smoothly. It was a leftover from his uncle’s junkyard with a few modifications to accommodate his height. On the dash were some stickers his little brother had put on from various children’s movies which Vincent hadn’t yet gotten around to removing yet. Under the passenger seat there were probably things his sister had left behind from his last visit. It’s good to have a sister like Anna, he thought, and turned off the main road and onto a side alley that would hopefully cut his time down somewhat. The Misfits had been turned down a while ago so that he could focus on his driving.
His headlights illuminated a brunette and a man, who was grasping her by the wrist. From the woman’s awkward position and stiff posture, she was in some pain. Vincent made note of the blindfold, and recalled seeing the woman at the school address. He got out of the car and pocketed his keys, though he was aware they might need a quick getaway.
“Please let her go.”

The man clutched at blindfold's wrist tighter, and tighter with each passsing second causing the telepath to flinch in pain as she felt it. Ruth how ever was not worried not by a long shot was destined to be walking out this late. She knew someone was going to come to save her and that was the only reason she left the mansion so late. Normally the young blind mutant girl would have never left her room let alone the school premises, but she better than most knew how utterly futile ot was to fight her visions. Sure some could be changed, ut others such as this one had to happen.
They had to happen because they opned the door to future events that needed to happen. Truth of the matter is that Ruth Aldine was destined to meet vincent tonight. She had to meet him now so that far in the future she may have another vision with him in it. Although she wasn't sure if the future vision was important life threatening or what not but she knew she had to get a better feel of the man in order to have it. As odd as it sounded Ruth knew what she was doinig. If things got out of hanf the woman was a telepath after all! All she needed was to use her mental abilioties to protect her, but she knew she wouldn't need them.
Blindfold watched in her mind as the events she dreamt about this morning began to unfold the tall gargantuan man stepped from his car adn spoke to thethugish boys. Who ofcourse simply laughed as their boss commanded the other two to 'DEAL' with titan. Taking out their switch blades the boys rush towards Vincent in hopes of taking care of him while Julio pressed his hand firmly against Blindfold's chest.

Vincent watched as the men ran towards him, and sighed deeply. If he had been an angrier man, then he would have lost his cool. As it was he merely waited, patient and willing for this to be over soon.
The nearest thug ran towards him with his blade flashing, and Vincent grabbed the wrist holding the knife and twisted as he let that same man’s momentum carry him directly into the car door. That had been something Mr. Grey-Summers had taught him. The thug let out a squeal of pain as Vincent jerked his arm upwards, and the knife clattered to the ground. The young man kicked the knife under the car, aware of the fact that his tires could be slashed, just as the second thug came to meet him.
He wondered, exasperated, why so many thugs picked fights with him in back alleys. This was the second time in as many months, and he was beginning (albeit jokingly) to think that maybe there was some sort of secret society orchestrating the incidents.
The second thug moved to stab him, but in the dim light Vincent ducked to the left. The first thug he brought with him, hauling him by his shirt, and shoved him at his friend as hard as he dared. Their heads knocked against each other, and both fell to the ground in a tangle of limbs. He picked up the remaining knife as well and threw it in the nearest trashcan—twenty feet away.
“Blindfold, could you take care of him so that we can both go home?”
His hands were quivering a little, and he looked down to see that he was bleeding from the shoulder. He pressed the flat of his hand against the shallow cut and leaned against the car door. He had heard that she had telepathy...if that was the case, then he hadn't needed to play the part of white knight at all.

If blindfold or better known to most at her schoRuth Aldine the mutant precog had any eyes they might have snapped open in astonishment at the sheer show of both power and skill being orchestrated by Titan a very large, and yet increidbly docile young man. Viewing the images within her own mind as she often did Ruth saw jumbled sequences that made no coherent sense as they palyed through out her mind.
Ruth Aldine was a precog able to see events yet to come withiny her mind, but she was also clairvoyant and postcognative. Her mind constantly registered images of the past present and future rapidly and not always in linear sequence which could speak volumes on why Ruth was so very odd. IT was like Watching the beggining of a movie then jumping to the middle rewinding towards another part the jumping to the end adn back to the near beggining. It was just that confusing, but none the less she was able to get by from what she learnt by paying an incredible amount of attention to the events as they passed by. Rearraging them in order once she had seen them all.
Watching the large man take out the others with barely any violent acts was truly inspiring to watch or so Ruth told herself before the fingers tighten around her wrist even more. That was enough she told herself as she slowly rose from her knees as she heard Titan call out to her pleading with her to finish this guy off. True with her powers honestly the young woman really didn't need to have depended on Titan to rescue her, but her vision the other night fortold he would and she didn't want to miss the chance at perhaps making a new friend.
Reaching out with her mind Blindfold easily burrowed deep within the man. findin his inner brain functions and forcing them bending them to her mental command. Shaping his mind to make it more responsive more acceptive to her commans. It was a power that was irresistable to fend off, and one she so rarely liked to use, because it was only a matter of time that one would cross the line. Where she would use the power for personal gain in stead of aiding others. Once within this mans mind Ruth stretched her mind to the others who laid beaten and hurt by Titan'sfeet.
She needed to make sure nothing of this night would be remembered by them. That both their faces were erased from their short adn long term memory banks so as to not be able to be traced. The last thing the school needed was a mob of humans coming to burn the place down. Fidning the memory and erasing it within a matter of nanoseconds Ruth programmed their brains to listen in carefullly as she gave them a comman.
With that the humans passed out on the side walk corner embracing sleep's temporarly reprieve from the madness that is the world as Blindfold turned to her savior.
"Thank you very oh yes Much. I knew you pardon would come. I am Ruth pelase to meet you!"

Vincent, bleeding slightly now from two places, nodded and got back in the car. Adrenaline coursed through his veins as he pressed his forehead into the steering wheel. By the time they returned to the school he knew he would be exhausted, probably irritable, yet he wanted now to run about like a madman from the extra energy.
The human body could do amazing things when it needed to, even after hours of being at something like a metal concert. Shows always did that to him, even when he was standing in the back just listening with every part that he could muster. He could appreciate a Schubert or Mozart concert as well, of course, but it wasn’t the same with rock or metal. It touched that primal part of him that all people had without causing harm to anyone else.
Right now he was just glad that Ruth had taken care of the last thug. He was still wondering about that bit. If she was a precognitive then didn’t that mean that she could have avoided them, and saved them both the trouble?
Without the training he had gotten from Scott he could have been dead even despite his mutation. It was good he could do that on automatic, as well, and knew tomorrow that he would have to tell the man the exact reason why he had gained two cuts overnight.
He started up the car and waited for Ruth to join him. Of course he would help her if she needed it, because he was Vincent, but he didn’t want her to think that he believed her utterly helpless.
Ruth - April 24, 2008 11:28 PM (GMT)
Ruth for just the briefest of moments looked away from Titan as the world around her melted away to darkness, as the noises faded away into the nothingness that sparked them. She no longer had any concern for the physical world that bound her physical form. No she came here for a reason, and that reason was to silence it all. Quietly, elegantly the young eyeless monster walked away from Vincent as her mind began to wander in every direction calling out to those who had recently called to her. Moments passed in an eerie silence as Ruth suddenly felt the gaze of Vincent on her cuasing her to withdraw from her own sanctum to the world that hated, and despised her once more.
Ruth returned to her body as she turned around to face Vincet the man who had risked his life to protect her despite the fact that she probably could of handled those thugs by herself. Still though harming others was still a trait Ruth found considerably horrifying to her. She didn’t like using her powers to hurt others regardless of their intentions, but she knew one day she saw one day she would have to kill to protect those that she cared about. But that was far away very far away she would first need to acquire people she would care about which at this moment considering how long she had been in the mansion, how long people ignored her made her feel that perhaps her vision was entirely wrong. Perhaps those she was protecting weren’t people she cared about possibly she would never have people she could call love ones. These were all thoughts that constantly passed through her mind.
Taking in a deep breath Ruth slowly makes her way closer to Vincent not needing her telepathic eyes to see the blood slowly cascading down his rather broad chest. She could sense, the lingering pains in his mind while at the same time sense the clam look on his face. So strong and brave it seemed very odd to Ruth that people often hide their true emotions about things for the sake of others. If that s the case was he trying to act like that for the sake of Ruth? Was he trying not to make her feel guilty because it was because of her that he was hurt. Reachign in to her dress’ pocket Ruth withdrew her spare blindfold as she reached towards Vincent offering it as well as an ointment to treat his wounds. Ruth knew the man would get hurt because of her which was why she came prepared she didn’t want anything more to befall him, but she needed his help right now. She needed to be truthful with him.
“Here take it your wounds please need to be dress or else thank you no they will get infected. I am sorry please yes please do forgive me. I did not wat you to get hurt like you did, but you had to. It’s just…they are always calling to me. Asking please yes Asking me to come to them to help them , and they excuse me yes they are very loud and their screams hurt my mind. I had to see if I could help them ….Vincent….”

Deciphering Blindfold’s words Vincent shook his head. “No, thank you. I have things back at my room. Please, get in the car. I’d like to go back to the school before curfew.”
The blood really wasn’t anything grievous, and thanks to his mutation he was partly immune to being wounded. They still stung, but it was nothing a little antiseptic and Band-Aids couldn’t fix.
As he waited in the car, drumming his fingers on the steering wheel, Vincent sighed. He wasn’t angry at Ruth, but he was tired and wanted to go home. The precognative’s adventure could have gotten her killed, and maybe even him in the process. Her actions had consequences. She needed to understand that before something bad happened.
Being part of the Elite Squad gave them both added benefits which Vincent was happy to make use of this one time. Usually he abided by the rules, and followed curfew—until tonight. That bothered him as well.
They were supposed to set a good example for everyone, and once he went to the school having gotten into a fight with townies who probably didn’t even remember his and Ms Aldine’s faces, what was he supposed to do? It didn’t matter, Vincent told himself, and turned up his music.
