how does everyone feel about a rangers training thread to kick off the new timeline?

What exactly do you have in mind? There have been tonnes of training threads and there isn't really much you can do other than run around the Danger Room a bit.

to be honest, the idea was to run around the danger room a bit, yes. It happened in the comic a fair amount, especially with new recruits, and thought it might be fun. Mostly, I'd like to have a thread where we all get to do something as a squad. It doesnt necessarily have to be a danger room thread. it could be a clean up mutant town thread, or something like that. I'm open to ideas.

theres a few people on the team who I'd like the opportunity to thread with, so I thought it would be a good start. we can discuss ideas and brainstorm something else, however.

No I like the idea of the squad doing something together, just the thought of another training exercise makes my insides shrink, lol. There's a few options... dealing with the aftermath of Apoc in some way, when CAGE goes down going after an escapee, Julian is going to be falling off the wagon a couple of times but that's more character specific, although it could do to build squadron relationships.

If we go along the route of the Danger Room maybe it could be some sort of goal oriented session where the Rangers are in competition with another squad? Team against team. I had an idea a while back after watching the Road Warrior. In the movie they were trying to get the gas tanker truck to a certain point and the bad guys were in their dune buggies trying to get the truck for their own. What if the squads had to compete to get control of the truck themselves. They've got their own dune buggy or hotrod or whatever? I know, it's out there and silly and we totally don't have to use it.
