Volunteering *edit*

OK, this idea is open to all students regardless student, JR Xmen, or SR Xmen status. Off and on it's been stated that there are student volunteers in Mutant Town either helping at one of three places: the orphanage, X-corp, and the community center.

Anyone interested in having a thread?

Since it's near Halloween why not having some of the students sign-up to help with a Halloween party/carnival that can be thrown at the Mutant Town community center for the residents and the orphans? There are a few other Halloween plots going on but none that are X-student friendly, I believe. What do you all think?

Yes, Kel is still interested, and add Mel in too. Though, it'd be cool to have an IC thread where the whole volunteering thing is introduced to her. Maybe by her roomie?

Halloween party at NYC? Melody is going to freak out, she hasn't even been to the city yet ^_^

Thanks to those who are interested. Will be writing up a more official plot plan soonish (like in a day or so).

Due to age: Kel, Aedan, and Owain might be in charge of watching the students.

Would like a teacher volunteer (not involved in the other Halloween plots) because a group of X-students heading to the city without one won't exactly be permitted. <----is making a logical guess on this

Also, wouldn't mind the Halloween party/carnival have a sponsor such as X-corps, X-factor, X-men, or even the community itself because don't think a random grouping of students would be able to front a party. (There will probably have to be permits, money, and such?)

If you still need volunteers for this I'm sure Sofia would be up for it and if you want a teacher to help out in anyway I'm pretty sure Kurt would also be up for it. ^^

Best to have the Halloween party/carnival to be sponsored by the community. Mittens has been volunteering regularly in Mutant Town. He saw a sign-up sheet at the community center seeking volunteers for the event and decided to copy it and post it around the school. Could say Kurt volunteered to be the teacher in charge of the volunteer kids.


The Halloween party/carnival itself will have a small sections of games for the attending kids to win prizes including apple bobbing and pumpkin carving. There will be a dance floor in the corner. Costume contests. This will be one of the first major get-togethers for the Mutant Town community after Apocalypse. A lot of people will probably show up including the orphans. Oh, and there will be lots of candy, food, and apples.

I'll be postin' the first thread at the mansion Today or tomorrow for the volunteers to meet up. Taking place October 15th.

In about four/five days or so, will be postin up the Halloween thread itself dating October 31st. It'll be an open thread for volunteers and party goers. Have fun.

Thread's up for the party. If you're volunteering sign up tasks here before postin'. Listed in the thread, if not have character ask in the volunteer thread. More than one person can be to a task (be reasonable.) Since the students -aren't- the only volunteers.

The theme suggested for the volunteers is Alice in Wonderland. However, it doesn't need to be followed. (Mittens is Charlie Chaplin.) Sign-up who your character's to be here so no duplicates will happen.

Since no body else seems to want to be Alice yet...Sofia will be Alice. <3

And Kurt will help judge the costume contest, himself being dressed as a blue, fuzzy pirate. xD

And both of them will help out with clean up the next day.
