Title: Student/Jr X-Men plots

Since no one volunteered any ideas, here's what was talked about in the meeting.

If you have any ideas, let it be known. If you don't speak up, you have no right to complain about being bored.

I vote for student vs student combat. =D

We could do it in random teams of three or four, possibly with one student as the designated team leader. The purpose would be for the X-Men to analyze the students for strengths and weaknesses, and coach the participating students afterward.

We could even do more specific training sessions later, based on the students' results.

I think an unsupervised mission for the Senior X-Men would be an awesome plot. Perhaps it could involve the bombing. The Gladiatorial battle sounds pretty neat as well.

To be specific, while I definitely want to work on getting Kel toward full X-Men, I'm pretty sure that'd involve experience/missions so it would have to be a combination of those. Some more experienced X-Men should be involved if the missions are intended to get student X-Men experience under their belts, but not running the show so to speak. Observing, following direction, and ready to take charge if things fall down around their ears.

I like the idea of the student vs student Gladitorial thing too. Haven't put much thought into that one yet though..

And of course we can set some smaller threads up that could be fun. Or traumatic. interesting. Winter isn't all snowball fights and hot cocoa. People are cooped up inside, cabin fever is probably rising along with tempers. And I'm not sure why this came to mind, but there can be a rescue on school grounds unrelated to anything ground shaking. Someone falling onto the lake, the ice cracking... Or off school grounds, as simple as someone not coming home and not answering their phones and someone going to look for them. *stares outside at the snow* I wouldn't want to drive out in that right now.

Work with students becoming x-men. I think it would be good interaction between the x-men and students. Maybe mix it with the supervised missions.

Shadowing X-Men is also an option It's been discussed before that if some students do go off, it's likely they'll be followed, just to make sure things go alright. I know I've volunteered Kurt to do the job before.

The options I most looked at were either Supervised mission, or unsupervised for senior students.

I do want to work towards Jay becoming a hero, mostly likely an X-men. He wants to protect people, despite the fact that his powers aren't as impressive as some.

If either of the mission ideas go through, I'd like to offer up my "Rise of the Owl Empire" Heroic Age thread to be reworked as a possible mission/plot for the students.

Just let me know with all that. I'm fine with playing The Owl, or offering it up for someone else to NPC. I meant to offer it as a student plot for a small group who wants to become x-men earlier right after the meeting, but I kinda got preoccupied. Sorry for the slip.
