She walked through the gardens as her eyes took it all in. It was so colorful and alive here. She loved to walk through the gardens on a nice day it offered almost a sensory overload for the girl. Compared to her home the grounds were lush and teeming with new sights and smells for her. She found the garden to be a very peaceful place and would often use it to think or pray. Today though she was doing neither, simply enjoying the nice weather and seeing what colors spring would bring forth in the garden this year.
She stopped in front of a small purple bush and reached down picking one of the flowers from it and softly sniffing it, letting the fragrance run its course before reaching under her head dress and sliding it into her hair so just the small open purple front of the flower was showing. A smile slowly creeped across her face as she settled into a bit of a happy mood to be back at the school. She had gone through so much the past couple of years, seen things, done things, and tried to change things. She had gone in a full circle it seemed and ended up right back where she started. And she was more sure now then ever before that she was suppose to be here, but she was still unsure where exactly this path was going to take her.
She let a small sigh out, she hated to be unsure but she knew she would keep her faith and Allah would guide her to where she needed to be. She had to hang onto that because while the world was every changing he was the same, and it gave her comfort that some things in her life never did change.
Lessons had ended early for the young gypsy and so she was making the most of her time by roaming out into the grounds. As always, her feet were bare, poking out of the bottom of a pair of green corduroy trousers. Her favourite cardigan was worn over a plain t-shirt, sleeves rolled up, despite the weather still having a faint chill to it. The young metamorph, at least in recent times, was finding she was not as susceptible to the cold – or heat – as some of her classmates. Of course she knew when it was cold and when it was hot, but it didn’t really bother her any more. Now,if she had to wear shoes all the time, then that would be another matter…
There was a book stuffed in the back pocket of her trousers and a chocolate bar (rather squashed) in the pocket of her cardigan. The book was a collection of myths, retold simply but the tales gripped the girl, no matter how many times she read them. It was like the telly, only the pictures were all in her head. Being outside was one of the best places to let your imagination run riot (though inside was pretty good too, as it was fairly easy for Meggan’s imagination to flow) and the fey young girl had a number of favourite spots out in the grounds, most of which she had found with Doreen, while exploring the place.
Floating off across the grass, Meggan was on her way to one of these spots when she noticed a familiar figure, albeit one she had not seen for a while and duly changed her course to approach. She was a warm girl, who tried to make friends with everyone, as it was the nice thing to do. Her face broke into a warm grin as she landed lightly a few feet away from the other girl and gave a small wave. She hadn’t known her very well back the first time she had been to the school, but Meggan had a relatively good memory, especially when it came to nice, calm people who didn’t let their emotions fly around and give her something of a headache.
“Hullo,” she smiled again. “Have you come back to school?” Meggan asked, because Sooraya could be there simply for a visit after all. “It’s very nice to see you again…” the blonde continued, then went red as she remembered she didn’t actually remember the girl’s name. Oh well…the metamorph was sure she would remember, that Dust would tell her or she could always ask one of the other girls later… “Have you been back long?”
