Date: May 8th
Time: Early Afternoon

Robert had been home for a few days he had enjoyed catching up with old friends. But it didn't take him long to get back into old habits which was pretty much lounging around avoiding as much real work as possible. Due to all the responsibilities that had been thrust upon him after his father was put into a coma Robert tried his best to make the time he spent at the mansion into a sort of relaxing vacation. Something that actually called for him to kind of hide from his fellow X-Men. Although he loved his friends they did seem to have a nasty habit of putting him to work.

And thanks to him not yet having an official job at the mansion Robert tended to get stuck with the grunt work that no one else wanted to do. Things like babysitting the younger students or watching over the naughtier students in detention something that really made him feel kind of lame. After all it seemed like only yesterday that he WAS one of those students sitting in detention for causing or getting into some sort mischief. And so that was why instead of mingling with the rest of the people in the mansion on a sunny Sunday afternoon Robert was out by the lake.

Robert was glad that he returned home during the spring time. New York winters were not something the Brazilian native was a fan of. Robert looked up to the sun and smiled a bit as his body tingled with the all to familiar sensation he felt whenever his body was actively absorbing sunlight. He absorbed a bit of energy standing before floating into the air so that his body could absorb more. It only took a moment, and he was at full power. "Ah, that's the stuff." Robert said to himself still floating roughly twenty five feet in the air.

The sun wasn't shining quite as much as it did back home in Brazil, but it was more than enough to satisfy his needs at least. "I feel great." Robert said to himself before taking on his solar form. He then casually charged up a plasma blasts in his left hand and fired it into the middle of the lake resulting in a pretty big splash, and an even bigger noise. After doing it Robert mentally chastised himself realizing that maybe shooting a big and powerful plasma beam into a lake was not a good idea for someone who was trying to hide out to avoid work. "That's definitely going to bring some attention." Robert said rubbing the back of his head nervously as he floated back to the ground and returned back to his normal form.

Kitty Pryde - May 8, 2011 11:54 PM (GMT)
Kitty was once again strolling about the mansion grounds, She thought maybe she would go back into the nearby woods and see if any wild life were roaming about. It wasn't necessarily uncommon to see some deer, rabbits or other small critters running around in the nearby wood line of the X-Mansion. Even every once in a while a black bear would show up. As Kitty was creeping through the woods she was some smaller deer surrounding a bush eating from the berries it had on it. When suddenly their ears perked up and they took off running.

No sooner did they run away did Kitty ear the explosion that was most likely the cause of their hasty exit. Kitty's heart immediately skipped a beat. Things we're finally getting back to normal and now perhaps all of a sudden things were falling apart again. An explosion in the mansion could never be a good thing could it. Kitty immediately started running out of the woods and back towards the mansion grounds, when she finally got her barrings. She noticed she was out by the Lake. And happened to catch a peek at Sunspot, who seemed un-phased by the explosion.

Was Kitty going crazy? Was there no explosion? As Kitty was still huffing and puffing a bit she slowly walked over to where Robert was soaking in the sun. Everything around the mansion seemed fine, But looks could always be deceiving. Kitty had finally caught her breathe when she walked right up onto Sunspot and said. “Uh... Hey?” Kitty said moving her hand to the back of her neck. “Everything okay? I could of sworn I heard an explosion... so I came running... But... I...” Kitty trailed off hoping Robert could shed some light on the explosion.

Sunspot - May 9, 2011 01:22 PM (GMT)
Robert actually contemplated flying away when he heard someone coming in fact from the sound of it they weren't just coming, but actually running to where he was. At first he was confused...but then he realized that the loud explosion could have been seen as an attack of some sort, and when he realized that he once again mentally chastised himself. "Great job man...now Logan or someone equally as scary is probably coming down here to try and disembowel me or something." Robert thought to himself....letting out a small sigh of relief when he saw that it was just Kitty.

“Uh... Hey?”

Kitty greeted him he could hear her confusion all to clearly. He already knew what was coming next...she was going of course going to ask him what the hell that big explosion was. She did seem to be quite worried too. She had a reason to be after all the mansion was just returning back to normal after a crazy amount of craziness.

“Everything okay? I could of sworn I heard an explosion... so I came running... But... I...”

And there it was...she sounded confused...which was really kind of funny what with how brainy she was it was rare to hear her sound anything, but well brainy. "Yes, everything's okay now." Robert said in his best mock hero tone. "You, see there was a highly trained ninja...no two...TWO highly trained ninjas trying to infiltrate the school." Robert said joking pretty sure that Kitty would probably see right through his quite obvious lie rather quickly. "But I fought them off." The laid back Brazilian said simply with his trademark goofy smile.

"I most definitely did not randomly shoot a plasma beam into the lake on a whim...that is definitely something that did not happen." Robert said if she didn't know he was lying before she most definitely knew it then. "But, thanks to me the school is safe soooo." Robert trailed off. "How've you been?" Robert asked realizing that Kitty was still on his list of people to see since he had returned to the mansion. The place was so big it was kind of hard to meet up with everyone.

Kitty Pryde - May 9, 2011 07:21 PM (GMT)
Once Robert opened his mouth Kitty knew everything was fine, He went on about a far fetched story about 2 Ninjas trying to break into the mansion and how he valiantly fought them off and saved the day. To which Kitty cocked an unimpressed eyebrow, Before he went on to Add the much more real scenario about 'not' shooting random blasts of plasma into the lake. Assuring Kitty that due to his actions the mansion was once again safe. As he then took a brief moment to ask Kitty how she has been.

But what was now not on Kitty's mind was greet a long lost member of the X-Men family, But wondering how the fish in the lake were after being thrown a Sunspot plasma blast. “But the fish” Kitty said meekly looking into the lake not really focusing on Robert or really even speaking directly to him at this point. “You better not have hurt the fish Robert.” Kitty said in a more monotone voice before shaking her head and returning her attention back to the egotistical Brazilian. “But uh, right... anyway.. Yea its been a long time huh Robert?”

Kitty said trying to take the focus of her mind off the fish who were probably more scared about the goings on with the mansion than Kitty was when she was out in the woods. “But I've been... Okay... How have you been? Driving the girls wild out in Brazil I bet” Kitty gave a playful jest.

Sunspot - May 9, 2011 09:24 PM (GMT)
Robert could tell that she had seen through his lies the moment he opened his mouth....he expected her to of course it was not even close being a believable lie. In fact in all honesty he was really joking, Robert did however get worried when Kitty didn't respond to his greeting right away. She also seemed to pretty upset with him, for what reason he really didn't know not yet anyway. He was sure knowing her for as many years as he had that she'd let him know why he had made her angry in just a few seconds, sure enough she did.

“But the fish.”

Robert flinched...the fish he had totally forgot about the fish. Robert wasn't a big animal rights activist or anything, he was more worried about the people at the mansion who were. The last thing he felt like dealing with was a coalition PETA mutants coming to try and crucify him for vaporizing some fish in the lake. <Oh, my god I forgot about fish shit!> Robert said out loud in his native language of Portuguese.

“You better not have hurt the fish Robert.”

Kitty said her voice monotone, and slightly frightening. "Oh, I'm sure there maybe a little worked up but the blast wasn't that big...in fact it was actually pretty small as far as plasma blasts go." Robert said completely lying he wasn't sure if the fish were okay or not for all he knew there were a few dozen dead fish underneath the surface blown all to bits. She seemed to drop it after awhile there bringing her attention back to Robert himself which resulted in Robert releasing a sigh if relief. She commented on how long it'd been since they'd seen each other.

It'd been a long time about six months if Robert was remembering correctly dividing his time as a Reserve X-Men, along with doing the best he could at running his father's business didn't leave him much free time. Which was supremely irritating seeing as before that free time to Robert was the only time that mattered.

“But I've been... Okay... How have you been? Driving the girls wild out in Brazil I bet”

Kitty teased....of course he had been being a billionaire heir to a multinational corporation made it quite easy for Robert to hook up with beautiful women...many beautiful women. In fact the only time Robert had ever been rejected by a female was when he was around his fellow mutants...most of which really didn't care all that much about his material possessions. "With the face like this." Robert smiled attempting to jokingly show off his stunning good looks.

"What girl CAN'T go crazy." Robert said before letting out a small laugh he wasn't serious not even he was that vain. "You, and Doug program any new cool, and possibly relaxing danger room sessions?" Robert asked back when he was just a student at the mansion he was notorious for getting the more brainy students to program scenarios into the danger room that weren't...necessarily for training...like making a realistic sunny beach getaway on a cold New York winter's day,

Kitty Pryde - May 10, 2011 02:49 AM (GMT)
Robert tried to cover up his actions by telling Kitty he was sure the fish would be okay, and that the blast he sent out into the waters of the lake wasn't that big at all. Although it sure did sound big from where Kitty was. Although there wasn't much use in dwelling over it. Unless Aqua man was going to show up and jump in and confirm or deny if everything was okay with the fish or not. Besides Kitty was sure that if something was wrong with the fish they would slowly start to rise up to the top of the water and in that case she would proceed to beat the crap out of Robert.

As the conversation drifted back to them renewing their acquiescences. As Kitty jested with him over his playboy antics out in Brazil, He countered her joking with some of his own. And followed up by asking if she and Doug had programed any newer programs for the danger room lately but bringing up the subject of Doug was still a sore subject when it came to Kitty. “Uh, Yea... No... not exactly me and Doug haven't exactly been on the same page over the last couple of weeks.” Kitty's tone was now that of an uneasy tone. As she quickly tried to change the subject.

“But yea anyway... So what brings you back to the mansion anyway?” Kitty shifted the weight off her left foot and repositioned it to her right as she continued to ask. “I mean, you got a good thing going over in Brazil dontcha? Did you miss us all that much that you couldn't bear to stay away any longer?”

Sunspot - May 10, 2011 04:00 AM (GMT)
Robert frowned before he left Kitty and Doug seemed to be the best of friends. And the way she had reacted to him mentioning Doug's name didn't seem to bring about the happiest of memories for her. "What happened?" Robert asked curiously obviously six months gone was more than enough for some pretty big changes to occur back home at the mansion. But before he could even get a proper answer out of her she quickly changed the subject asking him why he came back as if he could really stay from the place for too long.

"This is my second home if I stay away too long I get home sick...plus hanging out in Brazil isn't as fun as it used to be when you're actually working instead of non-stop partying." Robert said truthfully ever since he had taken over his fathers CEO responsibilities he found that being in his native country tended to mean non-stop work instead of Yacht parties.

"If by good thing you mean constant daily decision making that effects thousands of employees in several countries. And knowing that if you make the wrong decision you can accidentally put hundreds of people out of a job...then yeah I'm having a blast." He said giving her a weak smile. Robert was tired one could see it in his eyes, he tried his best to cover it up. But old friends like Kitty could probably see right through his bravado facade. Roberto was not nearly as care free as he'd once been.

The stress was getting to him resulting in him drinking, and taking his mother prescription meds a bit more than he should. He was worried about his father...very worried. He didn't know if his old man was going to pull through or not...his mother was distraught...and the typically care free Roberto felt as if he was going to crack under the pressure....he really needed a friend right then. "I'm tired Kat." Robert admitted with a tired sigh. "And I'm worried about my father." Robert said not yet revealing that part of the reason for him returning to the mansion was hoping to maybe find a healer there of some sort who could help his dad come out of his coma.

Kitty Pryde - May 14, 2011 07:10 PM (GMT)
Robert had asked what had happened between her and Doug, since the two used to be thick as thieves when together. To which Kitty just replied smally. “Eh, I don't know its complicated. We had a small disagreement and it turned into a really big disagreement... you know how it goes sometimes.” Kitty then shrugged it off as the conversation continued to go on. With Robert telling Kitty about the mansion being like a second home for him and that Brazil isn't as much fun when you're working and taking care of a business and not being an international playboy.

Robert then gave a small smile as he joked about having to make major decisions which effect the lives and lively hood of hundreds of people in many different countries all around the world. The conversation then took a more somber note as Robert told Kitty he was tired and let out a sigh following, adding he was worried about his father. Kitty's facial expression dropped as she looked back at Robert. “Wha... Why? Whats wrong with him? Is he okay?” Kitty asked quickly. Wondering what it could be that was ailing Robert's father.

Kitty knew what a tole a sick parent could take on someone as she made numerous last minute trips back to her home in Deerfield, Illinois over the years to check in on the health status of her mother. Never a pleasurable experience. “Is there anything any of us here could do to help you out or something?” Kitty asked again somberly.

Robert nodded simply accepting that her and Doug were not as close as they had been and moving on past it. Some of the X-Men were more personal than Robert was pushing for more answers when people didn't want to talk about touchy subjects. Robert wasn't like that he respected the fact that people didn't want to talk about some things and didn't pry most of the time. After all Robert rarely let anyone know what was bothering him usually opting to hide behind immature humor to make people think that he didn't really have much going on in his head.

It sometimes made people underestimate him, but that didn't bother him as far as he was concerned he didn't have anything to prove. He knew full well what he was capable of...and that was all that mattered. Robert looked up at the sun and took a deep breath...it was a nice day. He then frowned when Kitty asked about his father...he was surprised she didn't already know about it. But the school was a big place, and people there were usually busy doing their own thing so Robert figured it wasn't really all that out of the ordinary for Kitty to not have heard about what happened with Robert's father through the grape vine yet.

"Apocalypse." Robert said simply, as if that was all he needed to say...which in a way it was. "I tried to protect him...I tried to protect everyone." Robert said getting a bit choked up. "I wasn't strong enough though." Robert said he'd beat himself enough for not catching his family's helicopter fast enough. He managed to catch it before it hit the ground, but it had happened so fast his father had hit his head, and had been in a coma ever since. Kitty then asked if there was anything anyone at the mansion could do. "Yeah, that's kind of why I'm back I wanted to as Cyke if he thought any of our telepaths, or healers could do anything to help him." Robert commented with a weak smile.

Kitty Pryde - May 18, 2011 09:08 PM (GMT)
Robert than said the one word that sparked huge emotion in human and mutant alike. The mention of one word/name was all he needed to say to get his message across. Apocalypse had ripped not only across the United States but the entire world in his quest of complete and total world domination. The only threat big enough to unite terrorists and hero's, villains and vigilantes. Apocalypse. Robert did go on to tell Kitty how he tried to fend off the threat in Brazil but he was unable to fight off the wrath of Apocalypse and his minions.

Robert was still being sketchy on the details. It was probably something that was still difficult to talk about and something that has been plaguing him for the better part of two years now. So Kitty didn't want to pry any further than she had already had and would just let him go as far as he felt comfortable. However he did say to her that one of the main reasons he had come back to the mansion was to see if Cyclops could help him find some telepaths or healers that could trek back over to Brazil and see if they could help his father.

“That's terrible.” Kitty added to the end of his story, as she followed the statement with a frown before adding with an optimistic tone. “But you did come to the right place... we got some world class telepaths... and some pretty good healers here too, I am sure someone can help you.” Kitty then gave a reassuring pat on his shoulder and went silent for a few moments looking into the lake once again.

Sunspot - May 27, 2011 02:26 AM (GMT)
Kitty tried her best to be supportive, and it did make Robert feel a little bit better. But he was still worried Robert unlike a lot of other mutants was very close with his family. His family was close-knit they'd been that way for as long as he could remember his father always raised him with the ideal that the only people you could really trust were family. Running his father's business was incredibly stressful and Robert was sort of a slacker he'd spent the majority of his time trying his best to avoid hard work.

But he didn't trust anyone else to run it, that business was something his grandfather had built from the ground up, and when his father was ready he inherited it. Needless, to say that Robert was next in line to take it over when he was ready...unfortunately he didn't feel anywhere near ready when Apocalypse happened and as far as Robert was concerned he was way in over his head. Kitty then put her hand on his shoulder, he let out a slight smirk before staring out into the lake like she did.

"I hope there's something someone can do running this business is killing me...I'm nowhere near prepared to run that place." Robert said with a sigh. "So, enough about me...what's going on with you hopefully your life is going better than mine how is your mother doing?" Robert asked concerned he'd heard Kitty's mother wasn't at her best health.

"You know if you need anything all you have to do is ask." Robert said letting her know that if she ever needed money or anything he wouldn't hesitate to help her out. "You know any doctor stuff, anything anything you need." Robert said with a smile before putting his hand on her shoulder.

Kitty Pryde - June 2, 2011 06:21 AM (GMT)
As Robert continued to go on about the family company he had come to be the head of with his father being incapacitated and his lack of interest in continuing doing so as he didn't feel he was ready for the responsibility of managing a world wide business at his age. “I hear ya.” Kitty added understanding the burden could put pressure on even the most capable shoulders. As Robert then tried to change the pace of the conversation and asked about how Kitty's mother was fairing. “Eh... You know... good days, bad days... but she's managing and that's all you can really ask right?”

Robert then added that if Kitty ever needed anything all she had to do was ask as Kitty then flashed a coy smile. “A million dollars sounds good” She added a light push to Roberts shoulder in a teasing fashion before saying. “But yea, Thanks I appreciate it. But I hope it never comes to asking for anything... ya know... so long as she continues to fight it's all good.” Kitty then shrugged “We'll see, But still that million dollars... I'll take cash... small bills.”
