New York: the city that never sleeps. Everything you could ever want can be found here, muddled in with the things that you would never want. Many a story begins here, in the gritty streets of The Big Apple. Situated roughly two hours from the Institute, many outings to various portions of New York happen from time to time. But, these outings are highly regulated and underclassmen are not to go out to New York on their own.

North Salem
The small upscale town of North Salem is a pleasant little suburban town. While pleasant enough for the day to day average human, the more extreme of mutants would quite honestly.. not do well venturing into town. It's downtown is typical of all small towns-- antique stores, coffee shops, and other mom and pop type stores.

Created by the Nuwali in primeval times as a scientific outpost, the Pangaea Biosphere was abandoned when a gene altering virus called the Brood drove the alien race into devolving themselves into their primitive warlike ancestors, the Skrull. Many of their experiments, namely the Inhumans, survived beneath the shields that kept them from the Arctic cold, developing their own societies. The X-Men have claimed a retreat here and have used it as a back up hq in an emergency.

The Headquarters of Shield. There are 7 helicarriers over major cities around the world, with the New York based one, tethered in the sky between Liberty and Ellis Islands, the command carrier. Capable of stealth and offensive maneuvers, the helicarriers house no fewer than 700 trained operational personal at all time, and contain not only human crew, but employ mutants and mutates with proper credentials. They have a complete living system and the lowest levels can be converted to a prison.

Magneto's city. Located in a self contained dome beneath the oceans, it is the home currently to a growing number of mutant refugees and their families. Humans with mutant families are welcomed. It is also the headquarters of the Brotherhood, currently commanded by Exodus and Pyro. It is an actual city, though gas powered vehicles are forbidden, and even has its own farmland.
