We have faced the ravages of Apocalypse and his horsemen. We've seen darkly mirrored images of ourselves from the World without Xavier. We've lost friends, home and security because of the Purifiers. We've defeated the Skrull invasion and we are all again who we believe ourselves to be.

The rebuilding of the school is nearly complete, and by the beginning of next year, we should be able to move back into the new Xavier School. For now the team remains divided, with a small number in New York City's Worthington Towers, leaving the students and their teachers in the Utopia base hidden in the Savage Land. Between attacks by agents of Weapon X, terrifying anomalies and the innate dangers of both the concrete jungle and the primeval one.

In Mutant Town, X-Corps and X-Investigations work tirelessly to improve the lives of both mutants and humans. Beneath the city, X-Factor and the Morlocks attempt to survive in peace. From the high towers of the Hellfire Club, to the depths of the oceans where the Brotherhood protects the mutant refugees who have fled their homes seeking Sanctuary to the helicarrier bases of SHIELD, problems have arisen for all of our factions, but nothing we can't handle, right?

However, the arrival of a quartet from the future, Franklin and Valeria Richards, Talia Wagner, and most concerning Rachel Summers, spells danger of a nature we can't fathom. What happened to our world that the devastating time they come from was brought into existence? How did mutantkind lose a war we haven't truly fought? What made humanity resort to mass genocide, concentration camps and the reinstitution of the Sentinel program? How do we stop it when none of the time travelers remember what happened, and what made them come to our time?

One cannot break the rules of time and space without suffering the consequences... much less four...
What have they brought with them? What has been lost?
The [REVOLUTION] is coming.

But this time, the villains have the upperhand..

Roberto simply couldn't believe his luck he had paid for Amara to take a trip back to her native Nova Roma, and had been planning to take a trip to his own home town of Rio when out of nowhere the Blackbird was destroyed completely stranding him in Utopia with no way to contact his family, or his business. Needless to say Roberto was not the happiest mutant in the world. Not knowing what was going on back in the 'real' world was driving him crazy. His board of directors had no idea where he was, and on top of that he was unable to get any news on his father's current health status.

But he had to accept there was really nothing he could do about it. His pouting definitely wasn't going to help things so he opted to simply try and keep himself busy to take his mind off of the fact that he was literally stranded on Dinosaur Island. Roberto had heard the rumors about how the power grid was malfunctioning, it sort of bummed him because he had worked pretty damn hard to help set up the fancy solar panels which were supposed to power up the base.

Apparently from what he had heard at least the solar panels were working just fine just for whatever reason most likely through some technological malfunction that he'd never understand no matter how many times he had it explained to him the power wasn't getting to the base. Which left their security systems vulnerable. Dinosaurs were getting into their territory, and Roberto unable to make the trip home as he had planned figured he might was well do what he can to help secure the place until they managed to get the power working again.

Stepping outside Roberto quickly held his arms up, and let his mutant powers do their thing as he absorbed the very abundant solar energy. Once he was charged he quickly solared up and took to the skies. He flew around the outer perimeter of the base trying to find where the giant lizards were getting in at. He had been flying around the base for a few minutes when he saw a raptor run through the gate into the base. He sighed as he flew down to rid their territory of the predatory dinosaur, he fired a couple plasma blasts at the beast not hitting it, but scaring it enough to convince it to turn around and go back the way it came.

Afterwards he then landed on the ground so that he could find exactly where the thing had gotten in at. He stepped to the fence line to get a closer look, and was taken aback when suddenly he felt the ground shake. He had been in the Savage Land long enough to know that when the ground started shaking it was most likely a very, very big dinosaur. He looked up, and his assumption was correct there right in front of him stood a very large Tyrannosaurus Rex. Roberto's mouth dropped as he looked at the sheer massiveness of the creature, but he knew he couldn't show any fear. "Get outta here shoo! SHOO!" Roberto said hoping that it would be enough to convince the beast to go away.

He had no such luck the huge T-Rex roared in his face in response before attempting to bite the top half of his body off. Roberto dived to the right to avoid getting eaten. He then charged his right arm up with white hot solar plasma before launching a right hook at the big dinosaur with all his strength sending it flying back through the same hole in the fence that it used to get into their base in the first place. There was a loud crashing sound as the dinosaur hit the ground with earth shattering force. He hadn't killed the T-Rex, but after getting hit like that the thing quickly realized that maybe trying to eat him wasn't the best idea. It whimpered, and snapped at him before turning around and wandering back off into the jungle.

"Yeah, that's what I thought!" Roberto yelled out at the T-Rex as he went back to wherever it came from with hopefully a new found respect for their base. "Okay, I guess I should take care of this friggin hole." Roberto said to himself as he uprooted a large nearby tree and placed it in front of the ripped open fence. He was starting to build a baracade in front of the hole with trees. It was only a temporary fix he knew that, but he hoped it would be enough to keep other dinos out until the brains of the X-Men figured out how to get their power running back like it was supposed to so that the security systems would in turn be back up and running. Roberto grabbed another trees using his strength to break off it's branches, before placing it on top of the first tree....building the baracade might've ended up taking him awhile, but it wasn't like he had anything else to do anyway.

He was so busy grabbing trees, and getting them ready to be used to cover up the hole in the fence that he didn't even notice someone approaching him. He planned to use his powers to do the best he could at welding the fence back together after he was done with the trees. Such a job would hopefully keep him busy for a few hours, and help him take his mind off worrying about his father, and his family's business.

Riley adjusted her dark sunglasses for the millionth time as she glanced up at the blazing sun overhead. It seemed to her that it had gotten brighter just for her, making her smirk at her own ridiculous musings. Shaking her head she adjusted the strap of her two rifles she had slung over her back. She was on patrol duty until the problem with the fences could be solved. Unlike so many of the other mutants in residence her powers, to her seemed were very limited; without a weapon capable of firing projectiles she was defenseless. So she had unearthed two of her rifles that had arrived from New York shortly before the Blackbird went up in flames. She had lucked out on that one, now she had the majority of her guns back in her possession.

Smiling she pulled her the larger of the two rifles from her shoulder and looked it over, making sure it was loaded and ready for use. She had opted for one rifle that shot only blanks and for one that shot real ammunition. The rifle with the blanks was her weapon of choice when on patrol because generally it scared the dinosaur off and left them unharmed, however, she did have a regular rifle with her in case her plan didn't pan out. So far every time she encountered a dinosaur on patrol the blanks worked, but there was still that chance she would meet one that simply didn't give a shit how loud her gun was.

As she wandered along the fence line, rifle at the ready Riley stopped short when she heard an unmistakable roar nearby, followed after a rather large crash a short time later. Her heart skipped a beat or three before she was able to move again. She still wasn't used to the whole living in a jungle surrounded by dinosaurs thing. At least there was never a dull day at the base. Swallowing she moved in the direction of the commotion, taking her time so she didn't run straight into a really bad situation. However, when she got to where she assumed the trouble would be she found only Roberto, fixing the fence. He was powered up and so she couldn't look at him directly, even with her shades on.

Frowning she held up a hand to shield her eyes, "hey Roberto...I didn't know they had put you on patrol detail...or...clean up crew?"

Roberto had figured someone would wander by after all punching out a Tyrannous Rex wasn't something that was exactly done quietly. So, he knew that someone most likely on security detail would swing by sooner or later to come check to make sure everything was okay. Despite knowing that however, he was so busy working on his make shift repair drop to the fence that he didn't hear or notice Riley approach him. That is until she called out to him, of course part of why he didn't notice her was because he was nearly thirty feet in the air, breaking off massive tree branches which were the size of small trees themselves.

And then uprooting the massive trees to have more parts for his make shift barricade. The work was actually doing quite a number on the solar powered Brazilian, and had the sun not been shinning as brightly as it was that day he was sure he would've run out of energy by then...he was working up quite a sweat... figuratively seeing as he was physically incapable of sweating in his solar form, and rarely did so when he was in his normal visage. His powers kind of allowed him to regulate his body temperature to a point...and the only time he really sweated was when he did strenuous physical activity when not solared up.

When he heard his name called Roberto looked down to see Riley, a nice pretty girl he had run into a few times int he past enough times to where he had considered her a friend of his and not just a familiar face. Plus, she was quite the cute red head, so he didn't forget her like he did some people he ran into. He was thankful for her arrival due to the fact that he had been trying to think of an excuse to take a break for the past half hour or so. He floated down to her, landing lightly right in front of her, and taking note of the fact that she was shielding her eyes took the hint, and went ahead and powered down.

His solar form was bright enough to make normal people's eyes uncomfortable so he was pretty sure that with someone with super human eye sight especially at Riley's level looking directly at him was not only uncomfortable, but possibly slightly dangerous. "Sorry about that I kind of glow a bit more when I'm working hard." Roberto said scratching the back of his head. "Look at you all armed up, and looking like GI-Jane." Roberto commented humorously at Riley's guns which he was sure she was quite efficient with due to her lack of any real offensive powers, along with her eyesight allowing her to make shots most normal people wouldn't even attempt.

"What? No, I uh I'm not on clean up duty I just had to show a T-Rex the door, and dinosaurs were getting in through this hole in the wall...so I figured I might as well do what I can to seal it off at least until we get the high tech security systems up and running again." Roberto said with a stretch. "I don't know about you, but I'm starving and could use a glass of water." Roberto said looking back at his barricade made from trees, and melted metal fence. It was mostly done it could have used a few touch ups here and there, but he was sure it was enough to hold back whatever critters tried to get in while he took a quick lunch break with Riley. "Wanna get something to eat really fast?" Roberto asked giving her his most charming smile...well the most charming smile he could give whilst being extremely sweaty, dirty and tired.

Riley had been squinting ever since she had come upon Roberto and when he landed before her, she was forced to close her eyes completely. Cracking one eye open she watched, or attempted to watch, Roberto power down. Once he wasn't glowing like the sun she was able to open her eyes and actually look at him. Smiling she simply shrugged, "it's alright...no harm done." She adjusted her sunglasses, laughing at Roberto's GI-Jane comment. It wasn't the first time someone had called her that, but it was the first time she had heard it while on base. Hefting her gun up she looked at it before striking a quick pose, laughing all the while. "Oh you haven't seen me go GI-Jane yet. This is just a rehearsal."

Lowering her gun she glanced at Roberto's handy-work, completely speechless. He had gone toe to toe with a T-Rex and had won? All she could do was smile, still amazed at how powerful some of the people around her were. "Glad you handled it...I would be halfway across the base right now...running...screaming...and shooting this baby," she patted her rifle, "like a mad woman." She laughed, the scene playing out in her head before she banished the thought from her mind. Shaking her head at she looked back to Roberto, "hopefully it won't be to much longer before we can get it back up..."

A soft sigh passed her lips as her eyes wandered back to the barricade, before looking back to Roberto. She smiled and nodded, Roberto's smile causing her to laugh. His attempt to be charming wasn't lost on her. When he wasn't powered up he was rather easy on the eyes and although his accent wasn't super strong, there was still a trace of it and what woman doesn't enjoy a nice accent? The whole messy look worked pretty well for him actually, but she wasn't going to tell him that. "Well come on then," with a sweet smile of her own she turned and started back toward the base.

Roberto stiffened up a bit, and his eyes got wide at the thought of Riley mercilessly chopping down her adversaries. She looked more then capable of doing so...because while she was pretty, she did also have a sort of 'I can kick your ass' aura about her. A fact which was probably true as Roberto was pretty sure that despite Riley's powers not being able to hurt anyone, Riley was still perfectly capable of hurting people on her own if she had to of course. She then thanked him for handling the stray dinosaur Roberto simply shrugged before replying.

"Oh, it's not big deal super strength, and energy blasts seem to work pretty good as giant lizard repellent." He said trying to down play the act as much as he was able to. Riley then mentioned how if she had to deal with the situation she would probably end up running around and shooting like a maniac. "No, No I'm sure you would have thought of something." Roberto said trying his best to keep a straight face...it didn't work he laughed at the thought of Riley having to deal with a T-Rex.

"But I'd come and rescue you...you know with the pew, pew, and the crash smack." Roberto said doing a child like imitation of how he would save her from a dinosaur with his energy blasts, and super strength. He laughed, "You can say that again...this little 'fence' of mine won't hold up for too long." Roberto said as he walked quickly to catch up with her, as they started to head back towards the base. "So, uhhh when did you get your powers?" Roberto asked simply trying to make conversation. Power manifestion was usually something Roberto talked about with other mutants when he got to know them.

Riley laughed when Roberto said he would save her if a dinosaur came after her. His demonstration of exactly how he would save her was ridiculous. Covering her mouth with one hand she attempted to control her laughter, but was failing miserably. Eventually her laughter died down into giggles and she was able to speak again. "Well I'm glad to know you'll be my shinning knight, I'd hate to end up as dino chow." Smiling she adjusted her grip on her rifle and turned to walk backwards.

"All my life I guess..." Glancing over her shoulder at the base, she thought about exactly when her powers manifested. It was a tricky question really, because it seemed to her like she had always been able to see as well as she could now. "I always had great eyesight as a kid, better than average...and way better than the rest of my family." She smiled then, a sad laugh passing her lips as she shook her head. "The rest of my family wears glasses...wore glasses? No...wears...still wears," she mumbled that last bit, flashing Roberto a smile when she realized she had been talking more to herself than to him. With yet another shrug she turned back around and walked beside Roberto. "My eyes just...got better as I got older. I used to be in shooting competitions and then during one of the routine eye exams..."

Riley made a face as they entered the base's shadow, remembering her families reaction to the news that she was a mutant. "And the rest is history." Sighing she moved her sunglasses to the top of her head, blinking several times as she enjoyed being able to see normally. "That's better," with a smile she looked at Robert as they entered the base, intense amber eyes locking onto him. "What about you?"

Roberto smiled his signature smile when he saw the reaction Riley got from his. little bit of theatrics. She from the looks of it at least had tried her best not to laugh at his sophomoric improved comedic display, but she just couldn't do it and soon enough found herself laughing pretty loud and uncontrollably from the looks of it. After that Roberto listened to her personal story of her discovery of her mutant abilities. Although it was a pretty typical one it wasn't nearly as extreme as some of the other stories Roberto had heard during his years with the X-Men.

Including his own one which she asked him about after finishing her own story right as they approached the base where they would go to get their bite of food. Roberto frowned when she asked him about it out of reflex, in hindsight what had triggered his X-Gene was kind of dumb, but what had happened when his powers did activate was something that he would never forget...just another thing on the long list of bad memories Roberto had post becoming a mutant. Although he had been told several times, by several different people in fact that what had taken place that fateful day wasn't his fault.

Roberto still couldn't help blaming himself. It wasn't something he particularly enjoyed revisiting, but after asking Riley about her past it didn't seem right not to answer hers. After all what had happened was really a secret or anything. "Well as you know my powers are a bit more...evident then yours." Roberto started subtly warning her that his story was a bit more extreme then her own. "I was like thirteen or fourteen I'm not sure, but I was in school I had made the soccer team, and all my teammates most of which were there on an athletic scholarships didn't really like me all that much because they assumed my father had bribed my way onto the team." Roberto explained.

"Which was complete bull considering I was one of our best players." Roberto said the tone in his voice still showing that even after all the years that had passed the solar powered mutant was still a bit bitter about the lack of respect he had gotten from his teammates back then. "Anyway the season had just started. And it was our first game against our foreign rivals from Europe, England specifically." Roberto said beginning to remember the day as if it had happened only the day before. "And we were creaming them I had already scored twice, and was well on my way on making another goal...and the whole time I was trash talking with the other team, ya know rubbing the fact that they were getting their ass kicked in." Roberto said a slight smirk appearing on his face as he remembered how well he had been playing that day.

"Well, I guess they didn't like my attitude because to stop me from scoring on them again their team captain blatantly headbutted me in the nose. In plain sight of my team, and the referee and everyone else for that matter." Roberto said the smirk instantly disappearing from him face instantly replaced with a sinister frown as he remembered the foul. "But the ref didn't call a foul or anything...not even my teammates backed me up!" Roberto exclaimed...soccer was a big sport in his home country so as a result he took it more seriously then the average person...especially consider that he had faced more then one global threatening crisis in his life...some of which occurred before he was even old enough to legally drink.

"So, I figure if no one's going to do anything about it. I will. Ya know?" Roberto stated a matter of factly. "So, I got up and clocked the guy right in the jaw flush." Roberto said throwing a mock right cross into the air to illustrate how he had hit the guy. "That was a big mistake." Roberto said coldly. "Before I knew it I was being absolutely clobbered by not only him, but the rest of his team. In just a few seconds I was on the ground in the fetal position being kicked, punched, and stomped by god only knows how many people. I think some of their team even got off the bench to come over and kick my freaking head in." Roberto said the grim look on his face clearly showing that the kicking he had been on the receiving end of all those years ago was a pretty gruesome one. "So, I start to panic right. I mean no one seems to be in a big rush to get the guys off me, and they certainly aren't letting up at all." Roberto said.

"And of course I'm starting to get worried, but not just that I'm angry too you know? Like furious those assholes get so mad that I'm kicking their ass that they decide to beat me up just because the rich kid is better then they are!" Roberto stated his face still having that unpleasant look on it. "So, I start to feel hot you know...like really hot...I didn't know it yet, but I was feeling hot because I was solaring out for the first time." Roberto explained. "And then the guys punches, and kicks weren't hurting that much anymore...I got to me feet grabbed the first guy I could get my hands on which just so happened to be the guy who had originally fouled me in the first place." Roberto continued.

"And I shove him as hard as I freaking can." Roberto said shoving the air to once again demonstrate how it had happened. "Of course I had no idea back then how strong I had become...so when I shoved the guy I sent him flying across the football field and into their teams goal...so hard that he bent the top of the goal post when he hit it." Roberto said frowning, as he remembered how bad he had hurt that kid...despite the fact that he didn't intentionally mean to hit the guy that hard. He still had scarred some kid for life, over something as trivial as a soccer game.

"For a few seconds everyone was quiet which was really weird especially in a soccer game in Brazil, there was thousands of people there and it was dead silent...you could've heard a fly fart for a good thirty five to forty five seconds." Roberto said remembering the moment. "Then all hell breaks loose like complete pandemonium everyone is running around like it's Armageddon or something." Roberto explained. "And I have no idea what's going on...until I look at my hands and they're pitch black, and glowing." He continued. "And that was when I knew...everyone was running away from me!" Roberto finished. "And that's my story I turned into a dark glowing solar monster in front of thousands of people at a soccer game." Roberto said finishing the rather long winded story rather casually.

"I don't know what my father did, but he handled everything. I pulled out of boarding school of course...and for good month or so I was pretty much quarantined to my family's estate in Rio...I worked a little on controlling my powers figuring out what I was capable of, to the best of my thirteen year old knowledge anyway." Roberto said telling her the last bit of his history. "And then one day my father came into my room and explained to me that he had found a school that specialized in helping kids like me...which was news to me because I thought I was the only one in the world like me ya know." Roberto said. "And the next day I was on my family's private jet, and headed straight for New York," Roberto explained. "And the rest as they say is history." Roberto said finishing his story.

It was obvious to Riley that Roberto still felt guilty about what had happened so many years ago and she couldn't blame him. Honestly she would probably feel the same way. She felt sort of bad now for asking him about how his own mutation had come to be active. She wanted to say something to comfort him, but the only thing she could really think of seemed a bit cliche to her. She could tell him it wasn't his fault or something similar, but somehow she felt that such a statement wouldn't magically make his regret about the situation vanish. At least, saying something so typical wouldn't make her feel better if she were in his shoes. Frowning she stopped and just stared at him for a moment, her amber eyes seeming to intensify.

"Well...not that it matters now or anything but...I would have had your back..."

She smiled in the hopes of lightening the mood, tilting her head to the side a bit a she did so. "At least your dad worked things out...would of been nice if mine had done the same..." Riley looked away then, frowning a bit. "Never knew how racist my mom was until that eye exam..." She exhaled, blowing her bangs from her face.

"So food?"

Flashing Roberto a quick smile she started forward once more, heading straight for the kitchen. Right on cue her stomach rumbled and she covered it with one hand, laughing weakly. Making it into the kitchen, she set her guns aside, making sure that the safety's were on. Moving to the fridge she pulled it open and peered inside, humming to herself the whole time.

"What to eat...what to eat..."

Looking over her shoulder she smiled and closed the fridge, moving onto one of the cupboards in search of something to eat. "So...whats it like to fly? I've always wondered what it would be like if I could fly and see like the birds, given my eyes." She tapped the corner of her right eye, her third eyelid sliding into place for just a second.

Roberto smiled when Riley attempted to lighten the mood after his sort of disheartening story with a joke....letting him know as he had for her just moments before that had she had been there she would've had his back. "Yeah, I'm sure one look at a crazy hot red head armed to the teeth would've made them all completely forget about me." Roberto added jokingly. He did appreciate her joke, as he had heard the classic 'it's not your fault' line more times then he cared for. "I guess it worked out for the best. I mean I've done a few make believe scenarios in my head of what my life would've been like if I never was a mutant, and honestly even the most out there stories I can think of seem pretty boring compared to what I actually am doing everyday." Roberto stated truthfully.

"I mean before lunch I've punched out a dinosaur on some crazy bizzaro island in some pocket dimension somewhere." Roberto said well aware of how silly the statement he made was, making all the more ironic due to the fact that it was indeed true. "If someone would've told me ten years ago that this is what I'd be doing...I probably would've assumed they were on crack or something." Roberto said as they arrived in the kitchen.

The solar powered mutant quickly stopped talking as be joined Riley in looking for something to eat. "You know I think I might actually kill someone to get a decent slice of pizza." Roberto said his time spent in New York had given him quite the taste for New York style pizza. And it was one of many thing that he missed about being stateside. Roberto then spotted a bag in the fridge marked Property of Piotr DO NOT EAT! Roberto quickly looked inside it, and seeing that it was a pretty well made sandwich started to dig in. "If Pete asked what happened to his sandwich...you didn't see anything." Roberto said his mouth still half full with his teammates food. After swallowing he then chuckled a bit at the irony of his statement. Riley supposedly saw everything, and he was asking her to say she hadn't seen him eat Colossus' sandwich.

Riley blushed, giving Roberto a surprised look when he called her hot. She had been called hot before, but she still blushed every time she heard it. She knew she was good looking, she couldn't deny that, but she didn't think she was that good looking. She was just Riley, simple goofy Riley. Laughing his comment off, she turned away quickly, giving the cupboard her full attention in an attempt to hide her blush.

"Yeah I imagine they would have...back then I would of only had my bow though...Not to sure how scary a scrawny little girl would have been with a bow and a few arrows. Then again...I was pretty good with that bow...just a little bit."

Turning she pulled a jar of peanut butter from the cupboard and moved back to the fridge. Fishing some grape jelly from the fridge she set about making a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. Humming as she did so she looked up just in time to see Roberto dive into Piotr's sandwich. Her eyes bugged out a bit and she snorted. Covering her mouth and nose she laughed into her hand, shaking her head as she did so. "Yeah, like he'll believe that one! " Still smiling she went back to making her sandwich, glancing at Roberto every now and again.

"Yeah...I guess we do live pretty exciting lives...As much as it can suck sometimes...I'd wouldn't change it for the world..."

Blinking she looked up, looking thoughtful for a moment before flashing Roberto another smile. "Well...I might...for that slice of pizza." She laughed and started eating her own sandwich, watching while Roberto chowed down. A few minutes ago, before they had each found something to eat, she had asked him about flying. He hadn't answered, but with their crazed hunt for food she assumed he hadn't heard her. Sighing she ate her sandwich, enjoying the comfortable silence as they both ate.

"Bow and arrow too? Wow, you're just a regular Xena warrior princess aren't ya?" Roberto jokingly commented as he took yet another bite of the sandwich that wasn't supposed to be his. Riley then commented that although their life was crazy she wouldn't change it for the world. "Yeah, me neither...well maybe if it was for the WHOLE world," Roberto commented with a smirk obviously joking. They continued to eat for awhile in silence and after a few seconds Roberto remembered that before he had been distracted by coming across the forbidden sandwich Riley had asked him about flying.

"Oh, yeah you wanted to know about flying?" Roberto said sounding as if he had just remembered. His mind was already searching for the words that could best describe the sort of out right feeling of absolute freedom being able to fly gave a person. But anything he thought of sounded kind of well lame. In truth Roberto felt as though the sensation of flying wasn't really something that could be explained, he felt it order to really understand you had to experience it.

"I tell ya what...after we finish up you can hop on my back piggy back style and I'll fly a couple laps around the base. If anyone says anything we'll say it some sort of experimental surveillance technique or something because our powers kind of sucky right now." Roberto said taking yet another bite into the sandwich. "It'll be fun I promise." He added flashing a smile before taking yet another bite of his sandwich.

Riley laughed and just shrugged, "something like that...Kind of like Xena meets Robin Hood." Smiling she took another bite of her sandwich, shaking her head at Roberto. Finishing her sandwich she moved back to the fridge, grabbing a bottle of water before turning back to Roberto. Taking a quick sip of her water she nodded, smiling eagerly. "Yeah!" She waited patiently for Roberto to tell her what it was like, but he paused and she held her breath. When he finally spoke again, her eyes bugged out yet again.

"Seriously?!"

She had daydreamed about flying for as long as she could remember and now she was going to get to do it! Sure, she wouldn't be flying all on her own, but who cared? Riley squealed and had a hard time restraining herself. She could kiss him or at the very least hug him, but she wasn't sure how he would react to that so she settled for jumping about at bit. After bouncing around in front of the fridge for a few seconds she finally got herself back under control.

Smiling like an absolute idiot she laughed, leaning against the fridge. "Sorry about that..." She scratched the back of her head, blushing in embarrassment now that she was calming down. She had just made a complete fool of herself and had no real way to play it off. "I swear I'm not normally that...ridiculous...Its just...wow, really? I mean..." Riley made a face, playing with her water bottle a bit in nervousness, she really needed to get a better handle on herself.

Smiling she shrugged, taking another sip of her water. "So...when do you think we'll be able to go back to the main land? I'm not as big on shopping as most girls but...I'm having a craving for some new heels...or a new gun..." She laughed, flashing Roberto a quick smile.

Roberto only smirked when Riley replied that she was more like a mixture of Xena, and Robinhood. He took another bite of the sandwich, Riley seemed to genuinely interested in flight. And after he saw her reaction to his rather casual offer to fly her around the base a few times he saw quite clearly how amazing being able to fly was to her. You'd think he had offered to take her to Disney world or something, with how happy she seemed about a few simple laps around the base.

"Yeah, sure thing no big deal." Roberto said reassuring her that he would indeed fly her around. After her little giddy fit, she quickly calmed down and apologized looking a little embarrassed, Roberto smirked before replying. "No, it's cool I wish more people were pleased just by being flown around, my life would be a lot easier I think." Roberto replied as he finished off his sandwich. Riley then asked him when he thought they'd be able to return to the States.

"I honestly don't know...a lot of stuff is going on. My guess if we don't have enough power to even keep our security systems up, and running properly...it could be awhile before we start being able to go back and forth again." Roberto said telling her the truth. "Funny thing is I the few times I did go back stateside I ended up getting into crazy stuff that actually made me miss this place." Roberto said frowning as he remembered the absolute clusterfuck he and his friends had gotten into during their little excursion to Colorado to help out Dani.

"But that's how the whole superhero thing works I guess..." Roberto trailed off taking a sip of his drink to wash down the last bite of his sandwich. "You ready?" Roberto asked wondering if Riley was ready to take their planned laps around the base. " They say you should wait a half hour after eating before flying , but I'm a rebel without a cause and I follow my own rules." He said with a smirk, before getting up and stretching.

"What can I say...I'm easy to please."

Smiling, Riley just shrugged. With a quick laugh she downed the rest of her water, tossing the empty bottle into the trash before looking back to Roberto. "Yeah I guess I could see how getting into trouble would make you miss this place." Sighing she ran a hand through her hair, shrugging yet again. "Wouldn't know what that is like though...haven't really gotten into any trouble since starting this whole superhero thing," she said with a wink.

Once again she smiled as she pulled a hair tie from around her wrist. Putting her hair up into a bun she nodded, licking her lips nervously. "Yeah...as ready as I'll ever be." She was giddy all over again, but this time it wasn't pure excitement. She was nervous and maybe just a little scared; it felt like her heart was in her throat. She nodded, picking up her guns and flashing Roberto a nervous smile. She didn't plan on taking her guns with her when Roberto took her around the base, but she certainly couldn't leave them in the kitchen.

"You realize that if you drop me...I'll be forced to kick your ass."

Putting her nervousness aside as best she could, Riley gave him her sweetest smile, then blinked realizing that she was holding her rifles. Laughing she put them over her shoulder, "not with these, though, that wouldn't be fair." Pulling her sunglasses from her head she motioned for Roberto to lead the way. Her heart was racing and they hadn't even left the kitchen yet.

"A rebel? Rules of your own?" Riley smiled, laughing as she headed out of the kitchen. "What kind of rules?" She glanced over at Roberto, head cocked to the side in curiosity. "I thought rebels didn't have rules, that's what makes them rebels."

Roberto could tell that Riley was understandably nervous about their planned flying trip. It was kind of cute really. He laughed when she threatened him with violence if he dropped her. "Come on Riley I'm a professional, if I can catch innocent people while being shot at by maniacs I'm sure I can handle a few little laps around the base with a cute red head on my back." He commented casually with a wink. "Plus the last thing I need is to be beat up by xena of the twenty first century." He added with a smirk before heading outside. Once he got out there he waited for Riley to join him. He watched her intently as she fixed her hair readying it for their planned flight.

He then powered up after doing so he quickly toned down his glowing having taken note of how it seemed to bother Riley especially with her superhuman sight. "Okay make sure to keep both hands and arms on the Sunspot for the entirety of the flight." Roberto commented emulating a pilots voice the best his Brazilian accent would allow. "Caressing isn't required, but it is definitely preferred." He added jokingly his voice taking on its classic distorted hue like it always did whenever he was solared up.

"You know this reminds me of flight class back when I was a kid." Roberto said figuring some small talk wouldn't hurt before taking off. "Don't worry though I'm sure this will go a lot better then the first time. He said remembering how terrible he was when he was first learning how to fly. In actuality Roberto had flown so many times by that point that to him flying Riley around wasn't even that big of a deal, but he figured he should at least make it exciting for Riley's sake
