"Real name Moonbeam; no middle or last name to speak of. Code-Name Dead Girl. Powers...Zombie things and stuff." As ridiculous as he always sounded when he spoke to himself, this time he sounded crazy even to him. He'd set up a bit of a meeting, slash show and tell, slash let me poke you with tools to see how you work with X-Corp's resident Lich Queen. He knew next to nothing about her, and that just wouldn't do because she was incredibly fascinating. Her mutant abilities revolved around death, rebirth, and as far as he knew, she was the first person in the history of everything to die, and then come back to life.
Many people cheated death, himself included; no one however, had denied it the pleasure of keeping them dead. Needless to say, she was very interesting to him as a person and a...not an experiment. A potential candidate for scientific research. That was about as mildly as he could put it. His scientific...and slightly morbid curiosity couldn't be contained any longer or he might just explode.
So he'd asked as politely as possible, which was usually an impossibility with him, for her to join him in his main office at her earliest convenience so they could have a talk. Just a small chat to find out a few things about her; the testing phase was a while off yet, and might not ever come...but one could dream. Gentle classical music played as his leg found itself crossed over the other and bobbing up and down in measured anticipation for this meeting. After all, he knew just about all he could learn from the living. What he wanted, what truths could be revealed...from the dead?

Doctor Nemesis had asked her to stop by when it was convenient. He wanted to talk. Very few approached her to even say hello let alone ask to have a full conversation with her. She imagined most of them ended in disappointment. The corps walked through the halls to eventually reach the Doctor’s office.
As she did the Sergeant spoke, ”So what’s this namby pamby Doctor want to talk to you about?” Moonbeam replied, “I don’t know, sir. It’ll be interesting to find out.” As she spoke a fellow X-Corps employee, Jason Hathers, walked by. For a moment, he stopped to see if he needed to backtrack and fully hear what the blue tinted girl said.
But when he realized it was Dead Girl and moved along. She continued on her seemingly one sided conversation, “It’s hard to tell what the living what from me. It’s always such random conversations.” The Sergeant replied, ”That’s true enough. Some asking about death, less for what your life was before you died. No one’s ever thorough enough with their stupid ass questions.”
She kept her gaze forward as she responded, “Maybe that’s a good thing.” The Sergeant replied, ”That’s a bunch of bullshit, Moonbeam. If I was going to ask I’d ask for everything.” The corpse chuckled and replied, “You were trained to, sir.” He grumbled and she approached the door. She could hear the classical music being played in the background.
Without thinking, she went translucent and walked through the door. Until the Sergeant spoke out to her, ”Moonbeam, you’re supposed to knock before entering.” She looked off to the side as if a third person was in the room that had spoken to her and gave a quick nod.
“Right. Of course.” She turned around and walked out through the door. A second later, a knock was heard on the Doctor’s door.

He turned to the door as Moonbeam ghosted through it; his arms held out in greeting. "Ahh, Moonbeam, hello and-." She hadn't even acknowledged him; instead the Dead Girl looked to the side, nodded her head, and spoke a few words to someone he couldn't see before phased back out through the door. "Well...that happened." A knock on the door made his head cock to the side and shake; this meeting would be interesting indeed. "It's open, Moonbeam, come right in." That right there was one of the many intriguing things about her that he wanted to know more about.
He knew she "spoke" to ghosts, and while he'd never seen one or even seen any proof that they exist, he was over a century old and still in the prime of his life...and he was about to have a heart to heart with an amnesiac corpse that could turn into a creature that would make Lovecraft pee his pants. The absence of evidence, was not the evidence of absence.
The air to one side was a bit warmer than normal and seemed to stay consistently in one place while the necromantic mutant herself gave off negative temperature readings...just what kind of secrets did she have for him, and just how much would she divulge? There was only one way to find out. When she walked in, he gestured to the seat across from his. "Please, have a seat. I'd offer one to whoever your friend is, but I doubt he, she, or it is corporeal...or needs to sit."

JP BETWEEN DEAD GIRL AND DOCTOR NEMESIS
Once she heard that the door was open, the blue tinted girl walked through the door. Opening it properly. She stood inside the room and looked at the Doctor. He spoke to her, offering her a seat, when he finished his words the Sergeant replied, ”No shit, Sherlock.” Moonbeam quickly recovered from the verbal assault that the Doctor couldn’t hear, “The Sergeant thanks you for your offer.” She sat herself down in the seat she was offered. “I understand you wanted to speak with me, Doctor.”
“Ah yes, the Sargeant”; Moonbeam had a friend that she’d referenced a few times he believed that went by “Sargeant”. He didn’t know the man’s history or actual military background or anything like that, but apparently he was with Moonbeam a fair amount. “Well convey to him that he’s welcome.” After she sat down, he took a breath and nodded his head. “Yes, yes I did.” He’d thought of how to open this line of communication for a while, and straightforward was the best option in his opinion. “I’ll be frank with you, as I’m sure you’ve grown tired of people beating around the bush and approaching you like timid children. I’m fascinated by you. By Moonbeam the person and Dead Girl the mutant. You are, as far as I know the only mutant in the world who possesses abilities like this and that makes you a rarity, my dear. I’d just like to talk to you and pick your brain for lack of a better term.”
”Well at least this punk has manners. Tell him no dissections. Doctors are funny like that. And while you may be dead, Moonbeam. It don’t mean he can go knife happy on you.” She nodded once. “Most do tend to steer clear of me.” Her echoic voice rang out. The several sounding eerie voices was all she had to do to unintentionally scare someone out of the room. “I’m told no dissections. Otherwise… feel free to ask me anything.”
“Well most aren’t me, and those same people usually tend to stay away from me as well, but for different reasons. I don’t mean to offend, but I think most people see you as that thing that goes bump in the night. And you are obviously dead. It’s natural to fear what they don’t understand.” He was different though; he embraced the unknown so that it could show him its secrets. There was also the point of her voice seeming to come from several different people at all times, like her body was a host for not only herself, but others…fascinating. “The sergeant? Well tell him that I don’t plan to cut you open to study you; my methods are far more advanced than most of the butchery of today’s doctors. But that’s for later down the line. First I want to ask you this…what all do you remember?”
She looked at him as The Sergeant rambled on about any sort of dissections would be way later down the road. Down a road, as he put it, called ‘never in your daggone life.’ Then he asked her the question. “I’m going to assume you mean my death… In any case, I remember it all.” Whenever she was asked those questions, she went with the short answers. No one ever really asked further, and corpse felt it would upset those who asked to just openly volunteer the information.
“You assume correctly”; he said as he began recanting her words to his photographic memory. The answer he got afterwards was not exactly what he’d wanted, but he could tell that the woman sitting across from him wasn’t squeamish or shy about such things. “Could you…tell me? It would help with all of this if I knew of your untimely demise and subsequent rebirth let’s call it.”
The Dead Girl lowered her eyebrows and tilted her head slightly. She didn’t falter in her answer, or even blink for that matter. “Did you know I was on a television show when I was alive, Doctor?” She paused to wait for his reply before she continued, “It was a little show. Lasting a few seasons. But when I had the opportunity to move forward I choose to leave the show. My co-star, was a very jealous man. There was a lot of things I didn’t know about him, all I knew was my feelings for him. He used that to get me alone and slit my throat. Afterwards, he put me in a mausoleum, in someone else’s tomb; it wasn’t even an empty one.” She paused to make sure the Doctor kept up with her. “Then… after a while, I woke up. No pulse, panicked, crying out for help in my mind as my throat repaired itself. The voices of the dead answered my call. In the end…” She paused to give a short chuckle, “You should have seen what I did to the other guy.”
He’d probably heard of her show if not seen it; he’d make a note to go back and check though to see if he could spot her when he had free time. “I probably know of it, even if I don’t remember it in great detail.” He listened in silence and kept his face a blank slate as she explained her fate to him. It was a cruel one for such a young girl, but he firmly believed that things happened for a reason, and even though she had to die, she became something much more and had become a great help to the world through X-Corp. “Whatever you did to him, I’m assuming it’s much worse than what he did to you. And so far I’m of the conclusion that you and I share several similarities. A group of people took advantage of my anger at people when I was younger. I almost doomed America because of it. But as you said…you should see what I did to the other guys.”
The corner of Moonbeams lips twitched upward, “It does seem we share things in common, Doctor. But I take it afterwards America didn’t call for you to avenge them did they?” She paused to smirk fully, “That’s what I did after I got my revenge. I don’t have a very clean slate, Doctor. X-Corps is the cleanest.” There was no question, if X-Corps was threatened she would fight hell and fire to ensure maximum safety and protection against the threat.
