We have faced the ravages of Apocalypse and his horsemen. We've seen darkly mirrored images of ourselves from the World without Xavier. We've lost friends, home and security because of the Purifiers. We've defeated the Skrull invasion and we are all again who we believe ourselves to be.

The rebuilding of the school is nearly complete, and by the beginning of next year, we should be able to move back into the new Xavier School. For now the team remains divided, with a small number in New York City's Worthington Towers, leaving the students and their teachers in the Utopia base hidden in the Savage Land. Between attacks by agents of Weapon X, terrifying anomalies and the innate dangers of both the concrete jungle and the primeval one.

In Mutant Town, X-Corps and X-Investigations work tirelessly to improve the lives of both mutants and humans. Beneath the city, X-Factor and the Morlocks attempt to survive in peace. From the high towers of the Hellfire Club, to the depths of the oceans where the Brotherhood protects the mutant refugees who have fled their homes seeking Sanctuary to the helicarrier bases of SHIELD, problems have arisen for all of our factions, but nothing we can't handle, right?

However, the arrival of a quartet from the future, Franklin and Valeria Richards, Talia Wagner, and most concerning Rachel Summers, spells danger of a nature we can't fathom. What happened to our world that the devastating time they come from was brought into existence? How did mutantkind lose a war we haven't truly fought? What made humanity resort to mass genocide, concentration camps and the reinstitution of the Sentinel program? How do we stop it when none of the time travelers remember what happened, and what made them come to our time?

One cannot break the rules of time and space without suffering the consequences... much less four...
What have they brought with them? What has been lost?
The [REVOLUTION] is coming.

But this time, the villains have the upperhand..

POWERS

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

Transmutation (Flesh to Stone): Jayson has the ability to turn living things to stone. Unlike Medusa, however, she turns them to stone by touch and not by sight. Skin contact is a must with the effects immediate. Starting from the area where her skin makes contact the stone will expand across the victim’s body like a wave within seconds making them a living statue. Their clothing will also become stone. She can consciously choose how long a person stays a statue from mere seconds to 5 minutes, ten if she pushes it. Once the time limit is up they will turn back as if nothing happened though slight shock may be felt. However she can't dictate how long other living things besides people will stay stone. Anything smaller than a mouse can't be turned stone; anything more complex than a human will stay stone for a shorter amount of time.

Increase muscle density: As a secondary power Jayson’s muscle density increased allowing her to lift heavier objects than a girl her size normally would. This supposed ‘super strength’ is no where to the degree of lifting up a car only using a pinky. It is highly limited for she must train to reach her full potential. It’s been calculated that at the present time she can lift 5 to 6 times her weight, roughly 800lbs. This ability also allows her to throw off a punch as if batting away a fly but cannot allow her to walk away from a car crash uninjured. This power as a whole was once the most ignored. However, Jayson is pushing herself beyond her limits. The amount of weight she can lift is periodically increasing from its original 500lbs limit.

WEAKNESS: Water for some reason causes her to feel a little weak. The cause is unknown but one could argue the fact that the ancient elements of earth and water are opposite. However it is treated like a mosquito buzzing in your ear just, bat it away and carry on, thus it isn't an inhibitor. She willing never enters a body of water larger than a bathtub do to the fear she will sink whether it's logical or not, unless absolutely needed. Humidity can be an annoyance because keeping covered up is a bother but she grins and bares it. Note: Vegetation of any sort cannot be turned to stone at this time.

POWER RELATED ISSUES: Like Rogue she must stay covered up constantly in fear of accidentally using her powers. The future possibility of being able to touch someone without gloves isn't bright. There maybe no chance of it happening. As stated she tends to ignore her strength and sometimes gives way to much power doing things. An example of this is squeezing too hard in handshakes or breaking dinner plates.

SIDE NOTE: Though she doesn't possess the ability she believes other powers that work by skin-to-skin contact will be negated when used against her. This belief stemmed from the fact she rarely touches people with her bare skin. She doesn't know if this assumption is incorrect.

PERSONALITY

There is no specific trait or way Jayson Mink acts that can be picked out similar by any person. If one word can describe a person, the word adaptable would suit Jayson. Around different people she acts differently. This isn't due to her wanting to fool anyone. It's just who she is. She is adaptive to situations; so though she doesn't mean to she can be one way with a certain person and completely opposite with another. Yet, when one takes the chance to get to know Jayson there is more to her than just what is seen at first glance. She's friendly and caring, though she can be quick to anger. It's just important for those who do know her to remember her adaptable nature.

In reality, she is just your average person with personal quirks that can't be modeled into what society sees fit. At times she’s distant to those her own age only truly opening up when she gets to know them. However she will act completely friendly and may appear she trusts them when she doesn't really. At first glance one might see her as hateful and very blunt. This she will not deny because she is tactless. This too she understands and will hold back if she knows it'll cause others pain. That opens up another part of the many sides of Jayson Mink: she doesn't like to see others in pain. Without thinking if you need a hand she’ll be by your side before you can count to three. Sometimes this is trumped by the fact that the hero was someone that she'll never be. Jayson has a strong personality. When she became a Jr. X-men she started to realize she could make a difference. By nature, she also tends to be a multitasker.

Due to the nature of her powers she tries shy away from relationships.

HISTORY

The past of Jayson Mink is not truly complicated it is just unlikely. Questions have been asked and explanations have been given; but these are other peoples for she has only two questions about her past that no one will provide an answer. Nothing in this odd history would this young woman want to take back. She views her life as nothing can change the past.

Jayson Mink was born on March 23 where the surname of 'Mink' was never heard at the Maternity Ward. For some reason her parents never provided a last name and would always accept the last name of 'Doe' if one had to be given. Growing up without a family name didn't plague the young girl with what some would call a boy's name. She thought it was special.

Her early years were spent traveling across her home state of California and no where else Though her father was a traveling salesman he was never called beyond its borders. Not one foot stepped into a school for her mother taught her on the long days on the road. They were just a happy, close-nit family with no care in the world. The odd part was that both her mother and she would travel everywhere her father would sell.

An ocean view perched on one of the winding roads circling dangerously around a cliff was the last thing this happy family saw together. Small hands were pressed against the glass of the backseat window as a tireless voice recited the states in alphabetical order. But the six year old Jayson barely payed any attention because her eyes were glued on her favorite place in the entire world, the ocean. Her small body jerked forward and almost simultaneously slammed roughly into the seat backwards. A crunching sound turning into to blackness was the last thing this child could recall.

A melancholy birthday it became when bright eyes awoke after what seemed like a most rested sleep. Strange was the place because it looked like a hospital. How could she be there but she knew straight away something was wrong. In tears the just turned seven year old called for her mother only to be answered by a friendly nurse. Everything this lady said wasn't possible: a car crash, days in a coma, broken bones with scratches, a concussion, dead father, and a dying mother.

'Take care of them for one day you'll understand, I love you,' were the last words of a most loving mother. They were re-told to her by a nurse as her mother clung to life. The new found orphan had to keep in the hospital for a month of study. It was soon determined that she had lost parts of her short term memory. Anything before the last seconds of the crash for six months back was forgotten. Sadly she not only lost parents that day but also the truth she had just become a sister. Jayson's new siblings were being taken care of by an unknown family member the state decided it should remain as such.

No blood relation could be found and she was never told the truth of her family because her case was taken on by a different lawyer. The closest relative found was a step-aunt, thus this where she grew up. For the first time she had a home under a roof. She finally attended a real school. But a normal childhood was something that was never promised to her. She was forced to help take care of her step cousins: two boys and three girls, at the time, were all under the age of four.

Jayson grew up into teen hood with new freedoms. When she got breaks from watching her young cousins she would get a ride to the ocean where she could stare at it for hours. Questions were asked about what her life was and would be like but only two of them were repeated the most: why did it seem her parents never had a last name and why were her youngest cousins, two twin girls, were slowly looking like her when it was obvious they shared no blood.

It was on the beach one evening when her powers emerged. Tearful eyes clogged up her surroundings when something happened. Shock caused her to forget what happened but the next morning brought a ray of hope. For some reason she awoke on the opposite side of the country staring up at the face of what would become her best and closest friend.

Together Jayson and Violey made a pack to support each other so pain, grief, and the trying times of a being mutants would not wipe the smiles off their faces. For two years they traveled the country together seeing things that neither had seen before. Finally their journey's ended 15 miles away from the heart of California's wine country. With hugs and happy greetings Jayson reunited with her step family. The acceptance of her strange abilities brought a smile to her tear stained face. Upon leaving for a place both her and her best friend would learn about those abilities, she was given a last name of Mink by her step-cousins.

(game history)

Soon it will be four years since Jayson and Violey first stepped through the gates of Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters. Her first years there she was just a high school student who could turn people to stone. She spent most of her free time helping her friend study and in power training. Even though she wanted to learn control over her stone touch first she knew her strength was main priority. It was too easy to hurt people. In reality, she saw no need to control her stone-turning.

Not until the Brotherhood attacked the Friend's of Humanity building did she realize she had the ability to help those who needed saving. Though her first mission ended with a ceiling collapsing on her she felt the need to try to protect others. By the time the next harrowing event occurred Jayson had taken more time to herself to learn control over her strength.

Four months later an isolated nuclear blast destroyed part of Mutant Town. As if heralding a beast another threat grew as family homes and livelihoods smothered. Too much blood was spilt by those who thought the world existed in peace. A new Dream came from the shadows and Jayson accepted it with her full being. The new doctrine would save everyone who needed saving and stop those from causing the world devastation. It took an invasion from X-factor to awaken everyone from the false Dream.

As soon as ShadowX fell Jayson renewed her now strained friendship with Violey. However, in times of trouble friendships can be made. Though kind of surreal at times when she thinks about it she became friends with the Pop sensation Kimberly Parker. Having friends and seeing the students everyday gave her reason to keep training to improve herself.

When Apocalypse came Jayson had enough control to be one of the ones chosen to take him down. With the help of Cyclops, Phoenix, Blink, and a slew of other mutants from different factions she achieved the impossible. A simple touch and the all mighty being fell. He controlled everything but the stones of the earth.

The world still recovers from Apocalypse. Right now, Jayson continues to improve her strength and renew yet another friendship with a bumbling, redheaded fool. And out of all the things that have happened to her in the past, the most surprising is her recent promotion to full X-man. May she live up to that honor.

It was so unlike her to go all out. In battle Rock-Solid kept her strength levels in check. Even now Nahrees received a fury of punches and kicks, they could have landed at much greater force. The Inhuman bled but she would not die. Rage filled Rock-Solid's mind to the point where she wanted to make the Inhuman suffer, not die, never death.

Stone silence ended any attempt Nahrees had for counterattack. Granted, Dinu's kick and outrage came at Rock-Solid just as unexpected as her charging attack on Nahrees. All-in-all it lacked the ferocity and the sheer power she possessed. To her, Dinu was nothing but a insect with stringers. For single, quick moment he took her by surprise. Except the force of the kick to the ribs compared nothing to the blunt force of a stone pillar. The Inhuman boy lacked battle experience while Rock-Solid once took down Apocalypse.

The surprise lasted less than a second. Twin daggers were aimed right at her heart. Now on guard, Rock-Solid shifted her footing to jump at him. Grabbing him by his wrists, she squeezed them in an attempt to disarm him. Dinu still possessed advantage of timing before he got snagged by the X-man. Though missing her heart, the twin daggers struck her stomach. Rock-Solid smiled, ignoring the blood dripping. The wounds weren't deep due to her durability. Only her skin seemed grazed.

Surprise back on herside, Dinu struggled in making every attempt to loosen her grip. His daggers lay on the floor forgotten. He kicked at the X-man. She would not let go until she heard the satisfying sound of bones cracking. In a final attack, Dinu found himself flying through the air as Rock-solid tossed the poor Inhuman warrior against the nearest wall. He crumbled unconscious to the ground.

More alien warriors replaced the fallen Dinu as quickly as she dispatched him. Much preferring to break their bones or toss them than turning them to stone, none met the same fate as Nahrees unless they were idiots enough to touch her skin. To her, they were insects angrily lashing out needing to be squashed.

And, suddenly, the battle stopped. Darkness came from no where. Rock-solid stumbled forward holding her hands tightly against her ears. Blackness and quiet filled her mind. It scared her. It felt familiar. What was going on? Rage and anger seeped from her mind. Emptiness met her like the six months from her past she could not recall.

Jayson's mind stayed blank only until the calls, screams, the horrors from the abruptly ended battle reached her. How had she ended up on the ground? No matter, she pushed herself off the ground. The wounds from battle made her cringe in a moment of pain. That was all she allowed herself.

What had happened? How did this happen? Why? Her mind tried to replay the last few minutes but the only thing recalled was blackness. Eyes widening, she realized which Inhuman guards met their sorry state by her hands. Blood was everywhere as was destruction, and death. Who had started this, why? This mission started out as a rescue not a murderous rampage.

Her widen gaze landed at last to a statue of an Inhuman. Slowly the memory of what happen came back but it remained fuzzy. The name of the girl was unknown. Jayson stared at her and at the one called Gorgon who lead the X-men to the throne room. A strange calm filled his face that made her become worried.

"She'll turn back," Jayson stated speaking up. As though in guilt, the young X-man hid her bare hands behind her back. "It's not permanent, never permanent." Jayson could not bring herself to come near Nahrees. Instead her gaze went to the floor. Though fuzzy, she knew she gave little mercy in her attack. The Inhuman warrior wasn't dead, at least by the stone. Jayson wasn't a killer. Nahrees returned to flesh.

((Original SRP submitted July 2007))

The sun's rays felt refreshing against her face but Jayson didn't want to get up out of bed. It was so comfortable and the rest so wonderful that the happiness of the dream she just had she didn't want to lose. Something, however, wasn't right. During the night the flying in her dream felt so real that reluctantly her greenish-brown eyes opened to find a place not recognizable.

They darted across a room that was upscale it defiantly wasn't home. Plus where were her step-cousins for they would mostly start bouncing on the bed any minute. It was their absence that made her worry as her eyes finally fell on a complete stranger. This young woman looked to be about her age. She was very beautiful expect for half of her face that would look perfect on a mime.

"You 'ave been out for awhile," the stranger spoke. Blinking slowly Jayson looked at her with curious eyes. "Where am I?" she asked and the other just smiled. "We are in New York. No not ze city but ze capital. Albany..." Confusion had made Jayson start to interrupt but her questions were answered before she had said anything. Expect one how did she get there? Once more she started to ask but a raise of a hand from the other girl made her stop.

"I brought you 'ere after I found you on a beach in California," explained the girl. "You seemed dazed and I 'ad to 'elp especially since you turned two of my guards to stone. 'ere I 'eard of a place for us but I am apprehensive to go," she ended with a falter of a smile.

"You're not from around here are you and I don't know what you mean I turned men to stone," Jayson said reaching out to touch the odd woman. She wanted to see if this girl was an illusion but her fingers never caressed the stranger’s hand. Cold stone she felt turning yet another guard to stone protecting the young woman.

"What am I?" She questioned with fear. The guy in front of her was a statue. When did she become Medusa? A sigh and the other woman spoke slowly, "You mean, what are we?" There it was confirmation, life normal or otherwise would be impossible but with a smile Jayson laughed. "I have no idea but I know friends are what we are," she said as the guard flinched and began to move again.
