If you are looking for the best X-Men rpg around, you found it. We're a non-movieverse based on but not stringently following 616 canon.
Currently, we're accepting canons and OCs, and because the game does have some adult themes like violence, we have to limit our players to at least sixeen years old.

STRIKE ME DOWN SHOULD HAVE HELD IT ALL ALONE WASH THE QUESTION OFF MY HANDS I'M THE FATE IN NO ONES PLAN - - - - - - - - - - -
When humanity started the war against mutants, no one quite knew just where it'd go- how far things would spiral out of control. It began small, really. Rumors, talk of laws. Then there were incidents. There was the Stafford Incident. There was Brimstone. Shadow-X. Sentinels. Wolfshead Massacre. One by one things whirled out of control, reeling in the madness rung by rung. There'd never been peace between the genetic levels but things were becoming uncontrollable. Factions stepped in, arranged some kind of peace, some kind of understanding. Just when we thought it could be safe, that mutant town was alright again- when it seemed like things were calming down finally, that the peace was as settled as it could be..
Apocalypse struck. Violence we'd never seen capable, destruction no one thought possible. He took everything from the world- its resources, its stability- infecting pestilence, famine, death, and war all throughout the world. The mutants could do nothing to stop it, try as they could. Of course, in the end.. there's only going to be one left to blame and we can all be sure that it certainly wont be the humans.
_ _ _ STRIKE ME DOWN I'LL BE EVERYTHING I'M NOT _ _ _ COUNT THE QUESTION ON ONE HAND YOU DON'T ASK ME WHAT I PLANNED. - - - - - - - - - - -
For the Xmen, the Apocalypse brought back their mentor and founder- but in a way that was never expected. Younger, stronger, darker- this was not the kindly man they'd known as their teacher and father but something different. something constructed.
X-factor trudges on as always, pushing through the destruction and sorrow that never seems to end for the rough on the edges team. This time, however- they're being pushed. In the wake of Apocalypse, The American government needed to do something to still the riots. Something to show the papers and look brave and pretty for the magazines. What better than Mutant Town's darling saviors? Havok and his team are no strangers to the newspapers and while some will go along with the government sponsorship others are not so keen.
Take Pietro Maximoff, for example. Unhappy with the changes, betrayed by those closest to him, and feeling responsibility towards his father- he's left X-factor and moved onto the Brotherhood. Though they are far from the organized unified unit they'd managed before. Having practically withdrawn into itself, there's talk of desertion and change- something that not everyone is always comfortable with.
As always- The Morlocks and the Hellfire club teeter on the sidelines. Opposite sides of the same coin, both have had their share of trials and tribulations in the revolution. No one is quite sure what's going on in these secretive factions, but it can be sure that whatever it is, wherever they plan to go.. things aren't quite as black and white as they used to be.
SHOULD HAVE ASKED ME WHAT WENT WRONG STRIKE ME DOWN SHOULD HAVE STAYED AWAY TOO LONG - - - - - - - - - - -
Our world is a world after war. Not against the Russians, the Germans, or even mutants. No- it was a war with a god. With our planet. With our friends. Twisted by the workings of Apocalypse, many fell victim to the nanites that forced the will of the strong and bent the knee of the resolute. The war is over now. Our world calm, our friends returned- But nothing will ever be the same again.
Up and down the coasts, the plains, the forests and deserts- the damage done by the eye of Horus is apparent. What was once lush cropland in the Midwest has seen the touch of Famine. The unsteady peace of Pakistan caressed by the dead lips of pestilence. New York itself is in shambles- ravaged by the torrent of war. Even Europe did not escape destruction; Death rained down upon their wales that would not be answered. The converted- those few that were chosen by Apocalypses' horsemen- followed the call back to the temple, the changes done to their biology as horrific as the plagues that had descended.
And then- the catastrophes. Fire and Brimstone, hurricanes and earthquakes- there was no escape for any region. Devastation has crippled much of the globe and while the rebuilding of life has begun no one quite knows just when things will just get back to normal- or if they ever will.

In the twilight of our YOUTH We hold our hopeful REVOLUTION.
]A new age of humanity is upon the world. Humans, once the hugely over-dominant 'race' on the planet is now becoming more and more equal in numbers with mutants. Mutants, once few and scarce are becoming more and more common in society. Sides are being formed. Alliances are being made, and battle lines are being drawn. Nobody knows what the outcome is going to be, but what everyone does know- what everyone feels- is that a revolution is on the rise.
_________f r i e n d s o f h u m a n i t y_________ “When liberty comes with hands dabbled in blood it is hard to shake hands with her.”
[small]No one knew what would happen when the Friends Of Humanity kindled the war against mutants. Never one for change, even in the dawn of the evolution, people fought back. What better way, what better pedastel, then that of the very root of our land- The American Government. For every bit of growth in the mutant community, so does the mainstream community's hatred and fight against them. This war- this fight- is fought in the most secretive and dangerous of ways, with lies that would send even the most hardened criminal rolling. While the Xavier institute preaches peace and acceptance, The Friends Of Humanity and their champions do everything to fight the rights of mutants; carefully devising grass roots movements and lobbyist campaigns for mutant restrictions. Behind the government facade, however, there is a militant beast chewing at the bit for the blood mutant kind. [/small]
_________x m e n_________ “Peace is not merely a distant goal that we seek, but a means by which we arrive at that goal.”
[small]There is a hope for mutants yet. Under the guise of a school for the gifted, the mutants of Xavier's Institute- the Xmen- fight to keep the peace in what would be a terrible and monstrous war of evolution. Everyday more and more young mutants who would otherwise have no where to go pour through it's wrought iron gates looking for an education that they could otherwise not have. Each and everyone of them has a story to tell. All of them united under one single trait. The xmen themselves struggle with the times. Under the leadership of Cyclops, The xmen work diligently to keep things in order. But one has to wonder- how in the world are they going to keep things in order once the revolution really gets settled and the Brotherhood closes in? [/small]
_______b r o t h e r h o o d_________ “Those who want to deny the world must have once embraced what they now set on fire.”
[small]When the Brotherhood struck the Friends of Humanity nearly half a year ago, no one could have expected the traumatic results that followed. The once proud terrorist group dissolved within moments, crumbling under the disappearance of their leader Magneto. Through the ashes of that bloody day however, a new leader has risen. Seeking to dominate once more Mastermind II has opened up the gates of Murderworld, once again recruiting those that would toil against the ideals of peace but instead hone in on bloody retribution on humanity. It's not all carnival games in Murderworld, however. An illusionist by nature, things in the brotherhood are not always exactly how they seem; the beginnings of their alliance is forming and only time can tell if the mysterious daughter of Mastermind can take the overwhelming helm of mutant terrorism. Members that had once belonged to the Brotherhood have defunct- many choosing to take refuge in the shambles of Mutant Town. Those once loyal members had to make due on their own- some, like the Maximoff twins- traded their alliance to their militant father to that of X-factor. [/small] _________x f a c t o r_________ “Every generation needs a new revolution.”
[small]When Mutant Town first broke ground, no one knew where such a new found peace would go. Mutants who'd otherwise be ostracized could walk the streets like never before, relishing in the peace that came from the Mutant borough aptly named Mutant Town. That peace, however comes at a cost. The mutants of X-factor have seen that cost first hand; Many of them broken, many of them so lost into their own toils that the protection of their fellows in Mutant Town is all they have left. Under the lead of Havok- he himself a broken and conflicted man- X-factor fights to protect the very thing that groups such as The Xmen and The Brotherhood would forget. Their focus, their goal, is not global peace or mutant domination.. but the well being of all.
Passionate, young; X-factor is everything the Revolution stands for, everything that mutants have been, could've been, and can become. They aren't the Xmen, they aren't the Brotherhood, and they certainly aren't the Morlocks hiding away in their sewers. They're a new breed of Superhero, clinging to life at the very heart of the war.[/small] ________m o r l o c k s_________ "In the secret places of the heart, utopia is only the shadow of a dream”
[small]To some mutants, the war means nothing. It is a frivolous endeavor of the upper-worlder, the hope of a revolution born on the back of selfish greed. Callisto, in all of her bitter resentment, leads this rag-tag group that is not a superhero team; not a terrorist organization but an entire society, living their lives in the depths of the New York Sewers. Everything they know is bathed in darkness, a survival of the strongest in a fight that comes from genetics alone. Born different and strange, the morlocks are the mutants who are not the beautiful heroes we see splashed across SHIELD bulletins and the news, but instead the strange and the odd. Mutants that, if it were not for Callisto, would have no where else to go. Theirs is the underworld.
For the longest time, their world remained untouched, unbothered by the toils of above. But when the Sentinels came from above and the events of Brimstone unfolded, their world was not so secluded any longer. The underworld became the upper-world and nothing is going to be the same again.[/small] _________h e l l f i r e c l u b_________ “Inferiors revolt in order that they may be equal, and equals that they may be superior.”
[small]The rich and powerful were never the sort to dabble their hands in the affairs of revolution. Theirs is the seat of power, of glory- of riches. The Shroud and The White Queen, much like the chess pieces their courts are named after, play a deadly game of mystery and power. None truly know the nature of their affairs and none really ever see the inner most workings of their deepest desires. Within the Hellfire Pleasure Club, battles of White and Black take a whole new meaning. The power is theirs; the world theirs for the taking. Ruthless, wealthy- Everything the Hellfire Club is was born of tradition and of wealth. Age after age of power and deception makes them the very root of secretive agents in the dark. Even they, however, can not see the events that are dawning over the fresh horizon of change.[/small]
