We have faced the ravages of Apocalypse and his horsemen. We've seen darkly mirrored images of ourselves from the World without Xavier. We've lost friends, home and security because of the Purifiers. We've defeated the Skrull invasion and we are all again who we believe ourselves to be.

The rebuilding of the school is nearly complete, and by the beginning of next year, we should be able to move back into the new Xavier School. For now the team remains divided, with a small number in New York City's Worthington Towers, leaving the students and their teachers in the Utopia base hidden in the Savage Land. Between attacks by agents of Weapon X, terrifying anomalies and the innate dangers of both the concrete jungle and the primeval one.

In Mutant Town, X-Corps and X-Investigations work tirelessly to improve the lives of both mutants and humans. Beneath the city, X-Factor and the Morlocks attempt to survive in peace. From the high towers of the Hellfire Club, to the depths of the oceans where the Brotherhood protects the mutant refugees who have fled their homes seeking Sanctuary to the helicarrier bases of SHIELD, problems have arisen for all of our factions, but nothing we can't handle, right?

However, the arrival of a quartet from the future, Franklin and Valeria Richards, Talia Wagner, and most concerning Rachel Summers, spells danger of a nature we can't fathom. What happened to our world that the devastating time they come from was brought into existence? How did mutantkind lose a war we haven't truly fought? What made humanity resort to mass genocide, concentration camps and the reinstitution of the Sentinel program? How do we stop it when none of the time travelers remember what happened, and what made them come to our time?

One cannot break the rules of time and space without suffering the consequences... much less four...
What have they brought with them? What has been lost?
The [REVOLUTION] is coming.

But this time, the villains have the upperhand..

POWERS

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
  • Telepathy - The development of telepathy in Alix's mind was preceded by what had appeared stunted development in her brain- she has lacked the ability to speak from birth and displayed an inability to store memories. When her powers manifested, those sections of her mind were facilitated with telepathy along with the unused portions of her brain. As a running norm, she picks up constant mental feedback from an opperating radius of about 3 miles. In an isolated setting where there are few in the area, the affect would likely be far more unnerving for those around her. But in a city like New York, the feedback equates to nothing more than constant white noise in the back of her mind. While it would be discomforting to people who are not adjusted to such a thing, for Alix is has been the norm since the age of 8. In the past, this feedback would at times affect her memory and thought process, though recent years have given her a little more self awareness than before. Her telepathic abilities have demonstrated vast levels in moments of extreme stress and in situations of focus on her behalf. Beyond the basic mind reading and mental comprehension, she has multiple 'specialties.'

Because of her raising, she has had an extreme amount of hands on training with her abilities- telepathy especially. By no means the equal of the sort of training that would've been recieved at the institute, she has learned what works and doesn't work through years of forced trial and error. She still employs the lessons through the same process and while far more advanced for her age than others might be, she is still learning. Her primary talents have been honed towards a more finesse use, focusing on information instead of brute force. As a mute since birth, she has communicated by telepathy alone since the age of 8 - a requirement that has, in part, led to constant evolution of abilities. It's expectant that she's fully capable of projecting a full range of vocal forms into people's minds and can lead a person into believing that she is actually speaking aloud. Language has never been a barrier for the young telepath - expectantly since while speaking aloud is limited to whatever language is learned, the mind works the same no matter what language is spoken and thus, while she may not physically know the language, she is able to understand what is said as long as the individuals mind is not shielded.

The same training has developed her into being proficient in a sort of telepathic attack that is based primarily around taking the feedback she picks up on and siphoning it into a person's mind. The result- depending on intensity - is a searing, near incapacitating assault that can range from feeling like an abrupt migraine to completely incapacitating pain that is undescribable. However, it is hard for her to control these attacks and thus she limits their use. Furthermore, with the same sort of projection, she has mastered the ability to 'hide' in the subconscious of telepathically susceptible individuals, using her own powers to project a sort of mental interference to serve as a distraction. She can only use this on herself however.

With Xfactor she has become the tracking and detecting of all ranges of people within a specified zone. The individual must have no to limited telepathic resistance in order for her to pinpoint them. Also, she utilizes her talents for crowd control on a regular basis and helps to calm crowds of stressed people and, in other occurances, force them to forget various aspects of what is happening. For all talents, she has demonstrated a blanket effect of abilities within a radius of 100 yards and a search and recon detection of subjects within 5 miles while holding a maximum of utter telepathic emergence into a consciousness for little over 45 minutes without severe side effects. She has yet to attempt to tap into the astral field, though with age it should be something she can achieve.

  • Empathy - To the uninformed, Empathy would seem to be exactly the same as telepathy; it has the same basic premise of mental manipulation and awareness mixed with that same mysterious lack of physical result. However - while telepathy is concentrated towards the thoughts, memories and cognitive process, Alix's empathetic abilities are based solely around the detection and projection of emotion and mood of those around her. However, she makes more of a use of empathy on her self than any others. On a regular basis she appears as a near stoic emotionless young woman in efforts to keep her emotional levels under control as they are a direct influence on how chaotic her abilities can get. Like telepathy, Alix's empathetic abilities can not be simply 'shut off' instead they can only be mildly suppressed through emotional dampeners she has put into place on her own mind. When she does display emotion, it is hardly in the same physical sense as most. Instead, her abilities are innate in a sense that she can project aspects of feeling without actually allowing them to display on her features as most do leading for at times a more personal and strange sharing of feeling While she does have capabilities to supplement her offensive abilities with empathy as a whole her empathy is put to use primarily as a defensive and self restraint ability. Generally this is because the level of power it takes to maintain her own barriers would lessen her control and thus the level of effective focus needed to deliver a sound attack from any front. In the past she could not manipulate emotion beyond her own and was forced to simply project the emotion and hope that the person would pick up on it. While as a whole she continues to employ this method, she is capable of forcing an emotion in dire situations.

Through the prompting of Jamie Madrox, she has in recent time begun to open up her emotions to those around her and has weakened the emotional dampeners on her mind and allowed herself to feel more. While in moments of extreme stress she'll return to that same stoic manner, she is becoming more and more alright with the idea of herself being able to feel.
  • Telekinesis - Depending on the surroundings and state of her own emotions, Alix can demonstrate an express level of telekinetic ability. While rarely used except in situations where it is called for [say.. in moments of self defense] she does have a very well established control- mostly due to the fact that by the time she reaches the level of emotional strength necessary to use telekinesis, she's plenty able to control it.

With the opening up of her own emotions, she's beginning to get a tighter reign on using telekinesis.
WEAKNESS:
When it comes to direct attacks in moments outside of dire circumstances, she has about three attacks and 4 lesser attacks before she must take a few moments to recuperate. This also goes for mind control and emotional manipulations. These limits, while past what they had been in the past, often make actual 'battles' hard to handle and tend to ensure her being paired off with another, generally more offensively powerd, member of XFI. She rarely uses her talents for such obvious offensive purposes and instead results to more subtle methods.
  • telepathy - Telepathy at it's base is a seemingly powerful ability, giving the mutant in it's possession a vast degree of strategic bonus. However it does have it's blatant disadvantages to those who understand how telepathy works. Unlike some abilities, raw power is not the most important aspect of her abilities. Strategy and defenses mixed with an innate understanding of everything from herself to an opponent is vital to success. Therefore, If someone's properly defensed against telepaths and is more skilled there is little she can do to aid in a fight. Furthermore in facing a more telepathically resistant mutant she requires more focus and time to make it through- if ever. Her abilities also require a great deal of focus and as a physically lacking mutant must occasionally be paired with a formidable physical or energy based mutant in order to ensure her own abilities effectiveness. The basic limitations of her powers including time limits, recovery time and basic focus required also serves as a hefty weakness.
  • Empathy - Obvious for both abilities, the inability to switch them off is an obvious weakness. In moments of especial violence, barbarism, or even in the presence of a person who has especially violent memories and emotions she can be momentarily shocked. However, on the same level- should she be accustomed to that particular set of emotion, it can serve to fuel her and has been proven at some points to influence her actions beyond what she would typically act on; thus the reason for the name of Parody. Furthermore, if someone is skilled in misleading her abilities she will easily fall for what she sees in their mind, regardless of hidden agendas. This downfall doesn't take an exceptionally large amount of skill on behalf of the target. On a personal level, her empathy can make her seem at times distant and lethargic- a necessity born of keeping herself in check from those around her.
  • Telekinesis - As for her telekinetic abilities, it seems that only in moments of high stress and extreme need does she use this ability. This is mostly due to the fact that, like her other abilities, emotions have a direct effect on her abilities and as Telekinesis is her hardest to maintain power, it is only usable in moments of high stress. At max, in a situation of battle or catastrophes, she's shown extensive ability at lifting a wide array of objects of various size and weight at varying levels of precision. To use telekinesis however, she must cease other attacks and abilities- thus.. it is only used when absolutely necessary.

As a mutant who's been physically geared completely towards the mind, Alix's basic genetic makeup has dictated her towards a life far from suited for physical turmoil or labor and is thus more prone to sickness and fatigue than some of her contemporaries. Obviously can not heal beyond a natural rate and can die from the same amount of injury or attack it would take to kill an average human girl of mid to poor health with anemia.
PERSONALITY
Reserved and quiet to a painfully noticeable degree, Alix's environmental experiences have rendered her practically inadequate in most any human (or mutant) contact. Her talents in understand social complexities often forces her to become even more distrusting of people; expectantly making her all the more nervous around individuals. While she is very much aware of the workings of the human mind, she holds little understanding of human complexity and relationships, an often down falling that can make her seem both awkward and uncertain. A social disaster, she holds no skill in communication or conversation due to her comforts with the mind. :Because of this, in her free time, she can most often be found in a book or just simply staring off into thought. Having never been a material person, social status, wealth, clothing, and other such things do not affect her. Truthfully, at times, she is blissfully unaware of the physical, choosing to concentrate fully on the mental and emotional aspect of things. It's been questioned before if she even really fully 'sees' people in a physical basis. This assumption is, while not wholly true, rather close to the truth. While she does see and take in the physical attributes of a person they are often the very least of the traits she notices.

Emotional reactions are at times to react to. Her powers, as mentioned, often affect her ability to discern her own feelings from others. Generally, however, her feelings range around pleasantness. She does not allow the tribulations of the past to affect her too greatly, and while she is exceptionally distant when first getting comfortable, eventually Alix is a pleasant accomplice- even if a bit naive seeming at times. As most all people, once you get past the cold, emotionless doll-like exterior, she is quite the typical teenager, though perhaps a bit jaded and a bit too reliant on what she views to be truth. As everything with this estranged little telepath, her reliance on her powers throughout life have often made her rely too heavily on them for answers. While every moment around people who accept her as a person and not as a mutant device, she can still be, at times, too quick to give trust to those that did not deserve it, or vice-versa. Regardless of this, when faced with a threat or opposition, she is quick to defend and quick to fall into the offensive. For every ounce of goodness, she has just as much will to live, often surpassing the basic expected stubbornness and will to live into unsurpassed levels. Often, it has been likened that her telepathy and detached view of injury and emotion has allowed this amount of will power possible. While she inwardly agrees, she refuses to talk about it.

Past it all, however, Alix is at heart completely devoted to the good of mankind and mutant kind. While she has witnessed a good fair share of tribulations and atrocities- some committed by herself- She is working to pass this. Eventually, she will reach understanding that while bad things happen to good people- and good people do bad things- it is not something exclusive. while she has had her share of sins in the past, at heart she believes that all are equal, and that each person deserves a chance to live at a life lived to it's fullest- human or mutant. It only seemed natural that the tiny girl would end up with some kind of Heroic faction at the end of things.
HISTORY
Alexandria was born on August 27th, 1989 to a perfect family that had achieved everything that the American Dream could've given. While she'd long ago forgotten the more detailed aspects of that happy origin, the vague notions still remain. Her mother, a pleasant housewife who'd devoted herself to her family, and her father, the Mayor in Strafford. Her parents could not have been more happy with the arrival of a daughter, Alexandria Marie Bennet, who both adored adamantly. As a child, she had everything every young girl would love. Dolls, Books, a perfect mother and father who loved her unconditionally. By the age of two years old, the family saw the addition of a younger brother. Things could not have been more perfect and even at such a young age, there were countless galas and parties that the Bennett family attended. While tragically mute, she remained a pleasant happy girl who often played alongside the neighborhood children without falling too far behind with her handicap.

Everything was perfect until she turned 8 years old. While the days leading to her own manifest event were filled with unexplained headaches, crying, and nosebleeds from the young girl. It all reached a head, however, when in the middle of the night her full powers manifested. Alexander woke first and reacted surprisingly quickly. When they reached the bedroom that belonged to their daughter, they discovered not the green eyed, brown haired daughter they'd had before, but the twisted visage of her manifested abilities. Alexander was horrified and Marie was completely in fear. Knowing there was nothing else that could be done, Alexander subdued his daughter and began to formulate a plan. There was no way she could stay but they could not risk killing her either and while she was a mutant, she was still a young girl and he could not convince Marie to straight out kill her.

So, they had to abandon the girl. Her brother Alan would be fine-- he was too young to know the truth of his sister's disappearance and in truth it could be used to further the anti-mutant cause. Alexander was already the target of mutant groups who stood against his heavy anti-mutant stance, so pinning it onto whatever organization it stuck to would not be too hard a stretch. The plan was cemented and while it took a great deal of convincing to get Marie to agree, she eventually coincided.

That same night they plotted out the framing of a kidnapping.

While they would not be the ones to kill her, it was almost certain that she would die in the shady streets of Hell's Kitchen. Dropped off with little less than an old warm coat. Without a shred of compassion, Alexandria's life took it's greatest turn at only 8 years old.

Countless stories would've ended in those moments. Countless mutant children, abandoned to die in the harshness of the world-- lost to cold, despair, and extortion. While she doesn't particularly remember these earliest years of her life, it is in her mind a time of more fear than she can ever begin to comprehend. From the very beginning she learned the harshness of life- and just how much she didn't want to experience the emotions that people felt around her. Death, despair, anything and everything that impressed itself into her overly sensitive mind struck her in ways that she still has never recovered from. Often, she assumed she would die. Yet somehow, no matter how, she continued on. Still, at such a very young age, there was no way that she could ever begin to survive alone and it wasn't too long into her abandonment that she was discovered by the low-level gangs that roamed the streets of hell's kitchen.

From the beginning, her involvement stemmed from the usefulness of her abilities. As a telepath/empath, she could easily infiltrate other groups. Even more so, she could manipulate minds around her to forget things or give things. Heroes and their stories could not have been further from her experiences and through the years she developed into something that lived without feeling. Mutant hate, even in the unfavorable group she lived with, was the only thing that kept the small gangs strong. Still- the fear around her never left, and often it was her own telepathic abilities that ensured the groups ability to hide.

She was, however, vastly protected. Unlike most who would've assumed countless terms of abuse and neglect, under the use of a mutant gang, Parody-- as she became known as-- became rather regarded in the strange, tragic little world of gangs. She became little more a protected and useful tool for all sorts of jobs and was exceptional at what seemed to be all sorts of telepathic and empathetic talents. She could target minds to find particular people, aid in stealing- anything that was needed, there seemed to be a way to ensure it. Her training was crude and at best dangerous. Still, among the group she was kept safe, but restrained. As a high-level telepath at her age, with no experience, no family, and no ties that could be easily controlled, trained and manipulated to follow along was far more valuable in such a restrained state. She viewed herself in the same way and in a sense, it was because of this that she came to view herself as a telepath before every other thing. While in moments of dim clarity she would come to hate what had come of her life-- the occasional rays of good, pleasant thoughts making her realize this-- the death, destruction, and manipulation was the only things he knew. It was by no means a good life, but it was a life through which she survived and instilled into her a desire to live, and to fight for those that would be manipulated.

Through these years, she shut herself off from people. It was easier to live without communicating and with her own innate distrust of who she was and the people around her, she grew despondent from those around her. The years through which she lived with the gang- from the earliest age she can remember to the age of 17 that she remembers most. Still, being around people constantly gave her exposure to minds and peoples feelings that she required to learn. As she grew, she learned that there should be more to life than what she'd been given.

As mutants grew on the rise, as did the era of vigilantes. Unlike the children who learned to look up to Captain America and other heroes, Alix's heroes became those of the vigilantes in Hell's Kitchen. Daredevil and the like. It inspired her, and as she grew in her mind, as did her personal desires. But she could not break from it. The more she attempted to push past it, the more the gangs pushed back against her. They'd remind her of the past, and who they made her to be. Anyone beyond them would know immediately what kind of criminal she was. She struggled violently against them and her own fears and her own mind and began secretly searching for a way out.

It was then that she found the institute, through the minds of mutants living in Hell's Kitchen. But, at the same time, the law enforcement began to crack down on the madness that was taking place in Hell's Kitchen. Mutants faced against human law enforcement and soon a militant group of Friends of Humanity members joined in and through the madness, Alix escaped. While the mutants who'd used and manipulated her throughout her entire life struggled and died-- alongside those that had no involvement-- she left them to their own devices.

With her discovery driving her to find what was supposed to be the safest place for mutants, she searched out the institute until she made contact with the then headmistress Mina. Afraid of the repercussions of who she was before, she created a name for herself and while, not particularly the most creative, it has stuck with her from then. From that moment, she was no longer Alexandria or Parody, but instead Alix Smith. No code name, it just didn't fit.

    [in-game history]

At the school, she at first struggled to fit in. She found acceptance with her fellow students and grew despite the hardships. That was, until a telepath targeted the family that had abandoned her so many years ago. The chaos of the events in Stafford were only compounded for the young telepath and by the end she was mentally broken down and forced by the telepath Cole to murder her own brother. The attack left her damaged and disconnected for a time, and strained her then relationship with fellow resident Pyro. The relationship grew strained as it progressed. Eventually she decided that she could do more on a small scale than on the same massive scale that the xmen worked, she accepted Havok's invitation to X-factor.

When Shadow X surfaced and the rest of the school were lost to the control of a manipulated Jean and Scott- Alix, as the only other active telepath, noticed the change in the professors and attempted to rise against. It didn't work and she was forced into hiding at the Hellfire club with her friend Longshot. Eventually, with the help of freed X-men and X-factor members they defeated Shadow X and things seemingly went back to normal despite a feeling of betrayal by many towards the source of everything that had happened. Pyro disappeared while Alix recovered in the infirmary; when better, in efforts to prevent another event like Shadow X from happening, Alix was given access to Cerebro to help in the finding of students while Jean took a leave of Absence. The relationship with Pyro was revealed to have been a product of her own abilities mirroring the emotions of someone else and despite the love of her new team, she grew distant.

Months passed, and eventually Alix developed a relationship with the team two leader of X-factor- Rictor. Their time together was quickly cut short however when through a chance accident, she was present for the Wolfshead Massacre by Magneto's brotherhood and Acolyte forces. She was held under dubious grounds by the then-believed traitor Gambit. Eventually, she was traded to the faction that had once housed her and she underwent massive manipulation by the Black Court's Dr. Sin in order to find their lost king. When standard efforts did not work, Alix was brought to the X-mansion under manipulation to use Cerebro. A fight ensued against the shadow king and Alix was reclaimed.

    [APOCALYPSE]

Like many times before, recovery came swift when she was needed. The fall of Apocalypse sent her to the aid of her fellows, though in the end she was converted to work alongside Apocalypse in his temple. Like others, it was not until the fall of Apocalypse that her mind was reclaimed. Still. The weakness she'd experienced at the temple and her inability to fight off the affects left her feeling as if she'd been lacking and so, despite her love of her team and Rictor, she grew disconnected. She spent more and more time honing her talents and, after a few months, went missing

    [CURRENT]

Alix has recently returned once again after seemingly having been in and out of events. As each day passes, she seems to remember less and less that she'd been gone or what she'd done while gone. Her final return, however, brought her back in the middle of the school explosion and sent her into the fray alongside the team she beloved so much. Through a chance connection, she grew close with Jamie Madrox.

QUOTE
It was hard to tell if Russia had always been such a dreary place or if it'd changed when humanity had changed. It wasn't unexpected- how many times had the world reeled after wars and nuclear tragedies? Rubble and stone that'd been the cornerstones of magnificent centuries old buildings littered the street and once past sidewalks. Inwardly she wondered just what this crumpled monument had to say about the state of all degrees of humanity. Had everything grand and beautiful vanished in the wake of genetic war? Were they just obstacles now to a greater, more permanent future? Were they just contemporaries of the temporary clinging to the last vestiges of a crumbling society?

Her thoughts progressed onwards and she hardly took conscious notice that she'd made it into the red square; absolutely alone in neutral territory. In some small part the action was reckless bordering on dangerous. Fears aside what was really going to happen? Primary scans on her behalf showed nothing sentient that was a threat and unless someone had been actually expecting the telepath to come wandering about - which she really doubted - there was no reason to fret. Besides. The gutted remains of desecrated monuments of times passed seemed to hardly be on the concern of opposing factions at the moment no matter how neutral the territory was. Even if something did come up it was just a short thought away to vanish and run away.

She hadn't exactly ended up in the red square by accident, incidentally. Far from it. Like so many others who seemed to seek solitude as a means of relaxation she had taken a small amount of time for herself. Unlike others, however, getting alone wasn't the easiest task for a telepath who managed to pick up mental waves like a radio tuned too high and too close to a transceiver. She managed though with wandering further from home. Finally out of range of various factions all she heard was the dull hint of background feedback enough to still give her that small comfort she'd grown up with but little enough that she could at least think on her own. The red square was perfect for this purpose, providing plenty of time and space to sort things out and unwind like she just couldn't do in the comfort of the Glavnyi. Not because it wasn't safe- no- it was the people. She adored them regardless and even in some part took comfort in their thoughts. But sometimes she just had to get away this morning just happened to be one of those times.

Halfway aimless, halfway boredly, and a good deal more unfocused looking than she was her walk looked to be the usual mix of emotionlessness and thoughtfulness bordering onto the mundane. Eventually she faltered off into standing in some random side street and after that she sat leaned up against the wall of some random building to simply relax. There really was so little time to really just sit and do absolutely nothing. She played with rubble between her fingers, crumbling it into dust till repeating the mundane thoughtless action. A relatively quiet day in a never quiet world. Should she have been bored?

The exchanges between father and son had been as far from her consciousness as she'd been from the thoughts of the rest of the faction. She'd been out of range anyways far enough that she hadn't even noted the Howlett pair had been in the area, much less sharing a heated argument. Perhaps -maybe - if they hadn't been the recognized mental signatures of other Relics they would've registered but they were and thus not a threat. She hadn't even really caught when they'd split off from each other, or when Grady had managed his way nearby. Her mind just simply hadn't been geared for them. Instead she'd been more honed in on any chances of an encroaching enemy than anything else. If something had by chance knocked their minds out of the norm she would've picked it up; but there hadn't been anything remotely similar to that. A father son argument was hardly extraordinary, even in the apocalypse.

For a moment she glimpsed up her strange black on white eyes hardly catching the light before she made her choice. One level- she wanted to speak. On another, more insular vein she wanted to keep her alone time to herself. But, aware that not announcing that she was there could result in some unpleasantness, she concluded against it. Moments before she spoke, she stood from her location- half waving before speaking carefully.

::Hi.:: Her telepathic voice was as always strange- a mix of tones and invisible emotion all delivered straight into the mind of whoever she spoke to. Most, thankfully, had adjusted to her strange way of speaking- though that still didn't change the amount of reticent uncertainty that was always there.
For a second, she paused as if realizing the oddness of simply uttering 'hi' in the middle of a neutral zone that very well could've broken out into turmoil a second later. But what to say? She shifted thoughtfully before looking back toward Grady the barest hint of an apologetic glint in her strange eyes. ::Not too usual too see others about. I mean- ending up in the same exact street that is. Everything alright?::
