In the shadow of a world scarred by the Rise of Apocalypse, the mutant/human war reaches new heights.

On the side of right, the X-Men continue their defense of the future, training and protecting the younger generation at the Xavier School, while Charles Xavier struggles to explain his strange three year absence that returned him to us no longer crippled, and much younger than he left. In the city, X-Factor has joined with Shield to give a pleasing and open public face to mutantkind though not all of its members agree with the decision.

The survival of the fittest doctrine of Apocalypse has only enhanced Magneto's belief in mutant superiority, however, and with new members of the Brotherhood and his Acolytes, he's bent on establishing a sanctuary for his people at any cost.

Beneath the streets of New York, the returned Callisto gathers her Morlocks, preparing for the coming winter, shadowed by the high rises of the wealthy city, where the Hellfire Club dwells in sinister decadence.

And, strangely, in another time, another place, a world has been torn apart by the absence of one man... and that world grows closer... ever closer...

But, here in our world, what of the rest of us, who just wish to live, who just want to survive? War looms on the horizon, and one thing is clear...

We've entered a new age, and every generation needs a [REVOLUTION]

As you've probably noticed, XMR is a very active site. It's not uncommon for characters to be in 3, 4, or even 5 threads at once, and we love how active things are. That being said, with so much going on at one time, things can be a bit confusing regarding the time line. Plots get crossed, somehow characters are in two places at once, etc...

To help alleviate this confusion, we are adopting a few new rules to help everyone keep things straight in regards to posting.

Rule #1:
    When you start a new thread, post a little OOC note at the top and tell us what time of day this thread takes place, and where it takes place in regards to any major plots happening on the site, and also in regards to your character's specific time line.

    Ex: "Healing" with Mina, Jean, Meghan, and Logan.
    Time of day: Mid-morning/early afternoon
    Place in the time line: Nearly 3 days after Scott is rescued, 2 days after she is attacked by Alexander Bennett, 4 or 5 days after the Brotherhood attack on the FOH

Guideline #2:
    When joining an established thread, include an OOC note on your character's time line in your first post. You do not have to do this for every single post you make, just the first one.

    Pay attention to when the author of the thread says it takes place. If your character is somewhere else or unconscious or something and there's no way they could be there, then do not join. It's as simple as that.

    Ex: "Thanksgiving!" by Hank, joined by Mina
    Place in the time line: A month after the attack by the Brotherhood on the FOH, 3 weeks after her attack and recovery

These new rules apply to ALL new threads started after this is posted (December 2, 2007). It's really not that hard, and we hope it will help ease confusion as far as continuity goes.
