This game is a mix of 616 canon and original content. While many of us use movieverse play-bys, this is not a movieverse board. This plot synopsis is the general idea of what this board is about. For a more detailed history see HERE or ask a staff member. You can usually find one hanging around in the cbox. Don't forget to hit the play button on the cbox.
Roughly twenty-five years ago, mutants became public knowledge, though there were many around long before that. For decades before humanity became aware of this evolutionary leap, men like Charles Xavier and Erik Lehnsherr worked to protect and advance their species, their differences in philosophy ultimately driving a wedge between the two men. Charles, crippled in an accident he chose not to talk about, retired to his family estate, and began to formulate a plan to gather and train young mutants as protectors of humanity, envisioning a time when mutants and humans could co-exist in a mutually beneficial relationship as Erik Lehnsherr took on the moniker Magneto and, fearing a genocide of the magnitude he had witnessed as a child in Auschwitz, took on a more violent and sinister attitude, believing in the power of dominance and survival of the fittest. It is now the current time. The remaining members of Xavier's first class have grown up, and run the school that he founded, as well serving as the ambassadors of mutantkind he wanted them to become. The X-Men use their powers to protect a world that hates and fears them because it's the only way towards peace. But, every good must have its evil, and Magneto's people, the terrorists known as the Brotherhood stand in opposition to the X-Men, using their abilities to dominate, to strike down, to destroy. Caught in the middle of this battle is the rest of the world. Some like X-Factor lean towards the light, others like the Hellfire Club remain in the shadows. Still others like the outcast Morlocks merely wish to survive, alone and unnoticed. Where do you stand? Will you help us save humanity from that which would destroy it... or will you dance in the ashes?

Important Dates: PRE-GAME PLAY/ORIGINS Winter 1992: Xavier recruited Scott Summers (age 15) after his powers manifested and nearly killed several civilians. Rescuing the blinded orphan, the Professor took him in, and began to train him, encouraging his interest in aviation by allowing him to help redesign the rejected and covertly acquired SR-71b jet that would become the Blackbird. Summer 1993: Xavier recruited Warren Worthington (age 15) as a favor to his father who had already once attempted to amputate the wings that had sprouted from his son's shoulder blades after it was discovered that the boy had been doing superheroics as the Avenging Angel. The Professor put Scott and Warren in a room together to help the two antisocial young men to learn teamwork. Spring 1994: Xavier recruited Jean Grey (age 16) after having helped her for many years to deal with her telepathic powers. Scott immediately falls in love with her, but because of his powers, it would be over ten years before he could tell her so. Winter 1994: Xavier recruits Jonathan "Jonny" Harper (18) when the young electrokinetic street magician gets caught up with their attempts to save Times Square from the rampaging Moleman. Summer 1995: Xavier recruits Henry "Hank" McCoy (19), a college student with uncommon intelligence wrapped up in a bestial body. Fall 1995 Xavier recruits Mina Burton (18). The X-Men officially become a team. 1998: School opens for further students August 7th, 2003: Jonny dies after a long battle with pancreatic cancer. 2005: Professor Xavier goes missing while attending a conference for mutant rights. After exhaustive searches through every possible venue reveal nothing, the school decides to go on without him, to keep his dream alive.

GAME PLAY After some growing pains, and introductory threads, Earth 740, got its first taste of action in July 2007 as several of our most defenseless students were kidnapped and tortured to be rescued by Scott Summers almost as soon as he returned from his sabbatical, reestablishing the X-Men as the protectors the Professor wished them to be. August 2007: Scott Summers and Jean Grey discovered the Savage Land, and the strange alien artifacts within it. Here also, they discovered something else. That they were in love. October 2007: The Brotherhood attacked the Friends of Humanity headquarters in Connecticut, laying waste to the entire town before being stopped by the X-Men. In the attack, Cyclops was captured and tortured for two days by Mystique and other members of the Brotherhood. Appalled by the actions of the Brotherhood, former members Quicksilver, the Scarlet Witch and Havok defected to the school for asylum. During the search for Cyclops, Phoenix destroyed the Brotherhood headquarters, and razed the mind of the assassin Longshot, reducing him to a childlike broken state. After a battle between the X-Men and the Brotherhood, Cyclops was rescued and the Brotherhood scattered. The attacks left Scott needing a cane for some time, but he reunited with his long lost brother, now on a road to redemption, and Jean accepted his proposal of marriage. February 2008: Scott and Jean married. Alex Summers, in his continuing search for redemption, formed X-Factor in the Red Hook area of Brooklyn, now known as Mutant Town for the high population of genetically evolved who live there. With the school relaxed and celebrating no one was prepared for an attack by the Clone of Jon Harper who had come to kill Longshot, after the damaged assassin had been brought to the school to be rehabilitated. Kept from his grim task by Mina, who reminded him of who his donor had been, the clone of her husband fled into the night. March 2008: Mutant Town was shattered by an explosion accidentally caused by one of the Hellfire Club. The newly formed X-Factor arrived to take care of it, and attempted to bring the villains to justice. Out powered due to the magnitude of the blast, X-Factor got help from the X-Men. Despite the quick response the threat that the Hellfire members unleashed on the world made the humans so terrified that they instituted the Sentinel program, giant human piloted robots to 'protect' the city from Mutant Attack. As time passed and mutant freedoms began to be taken away one by one, something strange began to happen with the X-Men, beginning with Scott and Jean, and spreading to those they were closest to. Something had taken hold of them and begun to change them from within, so subtly, so smoothly, that by the time it was realized, it was too late to stop it. In 2008, XMR had its first Sitewide Plot. Beginning with their honeymoon in February of 2008, Scott and Jean began to show a strange callousness to their personalities. During the explosion in Mutant Town, they displayed almost cruel disappointment in X-Factor, particularly in Alex Summers, and it would not be discovered until much later that in those moments, they had wrapped their powers around his mind and joined him into the growing obsession and evil that was linking them into one sinister entity. As the Sentinel program began to reduce mutants legally to second class citizens, Scott and Jean began to form a plan to elevate their people to their proper place at the top of the food chain. The first overt signs of madness were seen at the State of the School Address a week after the explosion, where lines were very clearly drawn in the sand. The school was to become a military encampment, and anyone who disagreed was clearly a race traitor out to destroy them all. On April 12th, 2008, the Edraiiti, a group of wayward and otherwise helpless children, were attacked by the Sentinels. The X-Men responded, and in their retaliation, those who had been infected by the insanity showed it in their violence. Announcing that the war had now been declared, ShadowX showed themselves at last, Scott and Jean in perfect synch, joined mentally into a single solitary minded being, one that would rule the world... or destroy it. Alex Summers, freed of their control by the telepath Alix Smith went into the school as a spy, claiming to still be a loyal believer in the dream. But, unbeknown to ShadowX, Havok was spearheading a rebellion with Warren Worthington, especially once he learned that their plans where to use their powers on influential humans and infect them with this obedience that had taken the school. Rewarded for pleasing ShadowX, and punished when they did not, the world would quickly fall in line. With the help of many still unaffected students and exiled staff, the rebellion managed to save many lives until Havok was caught and was sentenced to death. On May 17th, the ShadowX battles were fought on the grounds of the Xavier School. X-Men, X-Factor, students, staff, were locked together in a battle for the fate of the world. Some fell, including Havok, his heart crushed by ShadowX's telekinetic powers, though the Scarlet Witch managed to resurrect him, but in the end, the battle was won when Warren Worthington did the only thing he could do to save his old friends... He killed them.ShadowX was over, the strange mania discovered to have been caused by a chemical the pair had somehow ingested (never revealed to have been a poisoned bottle of wine sent to the honeymooning couple), and once it was flushed out of their system, Scott and Jean were restored to normal, freeing everyone they had influenced. ShadowX Thread List and recapIn the aftermath of those dark times, the school was left fractured, and at the worst time imaginable, because in June of 2008, the worst terrorist known to mankind resurfaced to bring his own declaration of war to Mankind. Magneto had returned!

As Magneto began to reform his scattered Brotherhood, members of the X-Men and X-Factor faced a strange event that had some of the adults turned into children and the children into adults. July 7th, 2008: In the school, chaos reigned as those in charge suddenly found themselves turned into children, without explanation and the youngest students awoke in adult bodies. As they, and the affected members of X-Factor struggle to regain their proper ages and lives, things began to spiral out of control rapidly, especially when the newly arrived, over powered and undertrained Wiccan uses his abilities to stop a fire and accidentally floods most of lower Manhattan, including the Morlock tunnels on July 9th, 2008. Logan took a team of only adults left to deal with the disaster, but many many people were killed, including a large number of Morlocks. Meanwhile, X-Factor has to deal with their own problem as Magneto comes to claim his de-aged twins Wanda and Pietro from where the now-four-year-olds are being kept safe. Denied claiming them by their teammates on July 8th, 2008, Magneto gives the three days to change their minds, but the very next day on July 9th, 2008 Magneto launches an attack on the caravan taking his twins to safety at the school, destroying a portion of the Van Wyck parkway. Driven off eventually by the determined X-Factor and the arrival of the sentinels, Magneto left with out his children... leaving behind 67 dead humans. At last on July 11th, the strange de-aging was reversed and everything went back to as normal as it ever is around here. But what or who had been responsible for it all? We may never know. By August of 2008, things were somewhat settled until a mutant girl who could turn into dust was discovered in the desert. On August 29th, both the X-Men and the Brotherhood have a showdown in the desert over the powerful young mutant, that would leave major injuries on both sides, but eventually the X-Men were triumphant... Only to suffer a far more personal loss a few days later.

After the constant battling since their formation, Alex Summers takes his team to vacation on the tropical resort island of Krakoa at the start of September. But the longer the group remains, the more it becomes clear that something is trying to kill them. Krakoa has awoken, and is capturing the members of X-Factor to drain for energy. As they fight for their lives against the dangers of the island, they have no idea that two of their own are already gone, pulled through the Siege Perilous. Barely escaping with their lives, X-Factor has to return to New York, without Havok and Polaris, the pair presumed dead. Taking advantage of X-Factor's absence, on September 5th, lead by Magneto's Acolytes, the Brotherhood stirred the people of Mutant Town to riot and topple the Sentinel that stood "guard" over them. As X-Factor, now lead by the redeemed clone of Jon Harper, returned broken, to a town in shambles, far away in the Savage Land, Alex and Lorna emerge from the Siege Perilous, naked as newborns, and with just as many memories. Found by stranded scientist, Karl Lykos, the pair were about to enter in a very strange and very frightening life. In the wake of tragedy and loss, there was no time to rest. As the Sentinel Program was decommissioned, the Brotherhood took their advantage and decimated the island town of Wolf's Head as part of a deal with the Hellfire Club. In exchange for taking out the town, the Brotherhood received very important information that they would soon use to their advantage. As the adults fought to save the world, our teenage students were exposed to something much less sinister but just as life changing, the power enhancing drug, KICK. Starting at a rock concert on September 26th, 2008, several of the students became dosed with the immediately addicting drug, starting a downward spiral that would have lasting affects. On a more personal note, Wiccan, still wracked with guilt over having caused the flood, on the 15th of October, attempted to take his own life. When Elixir saved his life, it helped the golden skinned mutant decide to fully explore his healing abilities and begin to study under Hank's guidance. By Mid-November of 2008, things had settled enough that Scott and Jean had the time to take a select group of students to the Savage Land on an exploratory mission. They expected to find unique fauna and flora, but instead they discovered strange crystals that were capable of enhancing mutations, protected by a pair of half savage mythical heroes, the amnesiac Havok and Polaris! Not out of the woods yet, the group is attacked by the mad Karl Lykos, now the monstrous Sauron, who had abducted Elixir and turned him against the X-Men. Rescuing the boy, and ending Sauron's reign over the Savage Land, the X-Men return home, with their lost family members now free of their obligations to the primitives who Lykos had been so badly using, and a newly promoted Josh Foley, whose bravery and heroism even after being so manipulated was enough to impress even the normally critical Cyclops. While they had been gone though, things had not stayed calm and peaceful. The X-Men are only one faction in this world.

November 7th, 2008: The Brotherhood held up a train to steal precious goods inside, but found themselves opposing not the X-Men, but the insane and unpredictable mercenary Deadpool. December 2nd, 2008: The year neared its close with Jet Black of X-Factor and Warren Worthington of the X-Men, kidnapped by the Scrambler, a mutant with a grudge. What he set in motion here would lead to some of the most horrifying events in XMR history. On December 8th, Warren and Jet's location discovered, a team of X-Men, X-Factor, and oddly enough, Deadpool, rescued their lost friends in a battle against not only Scrambler, but also his gathered Marauders. Not everyone came out of this one alive, Warren's wings one of the most visible casualties... that and Cyclops's self control when dealing with the vicious criminal who mutilated his best friend. December 23rd, 2008: For months now, the Hellfire Club had been hiding the fact that their Black King, the Shroud, had been missing, but now with the kidnapped X-Factor telepath Alix in their custody, the opportunity to break into Cerebro and use it to find their King was upon them. But Max is not just missing, he has been taken by the Shadow King, and now possesses the purple Infinity Gem of space. December 27th, 2008: Magneto called upon his loyal Brotherhood and sent several of them into the mutant prison known as the Cage, armed with the information that they had traded Wolf's Head for. 2008 ended but none of us knew that in 2009, the world itself would end.

2009 opened up as something dark began. Hank McCoy and Madison Jeffries were the first to be taken on January 13th, but so carefully were they chosen, were they lured away, that their absences were covered with very careful alibis that would not be questioned, until it was too late, much much too late. Two more vanished shortly after, Warren Worthington on February 3rd, killed in an airplane explosion and the Acolyte Amelia Voght on February 11th after one of the Brotherhood's heists. Still, these raised no suspicion. Warren had been devastated by the loss of his wings, and Amelia was not so slavishly devoted to Magneto that it would be impossible for her to flee. On February 16th, 2009, the Shroud, free of the Shadow King's influence and with knowledge of what was coming, lead his Hellfire Club to the Murderworld Headquarters of the Brotherhood to seek an alliance so that they would be able to survive the imminent apocalypse. March 7th, one more fell, Jono Starsmore, taken and turned by the dark servants of a rising God, manipulated by Nathaniel Essex, the mysterious evil who called himself Mr. Sinister. And, on March 25th, 2009, the first of the Horsemen of Apocalypse, Death, crafted from the shell of Warren Worthington, revealed himself to take the last of them. Intending on taking the powerful Polaris, Death instead took Havok, the fool sacrificing himself for the love he bore her. It was a mistake. It was a horrible mistake. Knowing now that this evil was upon us, on March 30th, the X-Men, the Brotherhood, and the Hellfire Club pledge an allegiance to stand together when Apocalypse showed himself, to put aside their grudges, to ignore their differing philosophies, to lay trust in enemies, and respect in each other. The most powerful men, women and children were about to face the greatest threat they had ever known. Not everyone would make it out alive. On April 4th, warned by X-Factor, the Morlocks had to make their choice and a new leader emerged in Eldan Draith, "The Wraith." Some chose to flee, but others began to ready themselves for the fight. They did not have long to prepare, because on April 7th, the end of the world came and the Horseman began their ride. Pakistan was taken quickly by Amelia Voght, now the diseased Pestilence. The fiery War, once Alex Summers, laid waste to the East Coast of America, turning the citizens of Mutant Town into mindless soldiers. Devouring all in his path, Jono Starsmore who had ascended into Famine, stripped the heartland of the USA down to bones. And, Death, no longer the Angel Warren Worthington, turned the people Paris and London into hordes of the monstrous walking dead. The battles were violent and they were desperate. Some of those who fought were converted to Apocalypse's service. Some fell beneath the attacks of the Horsemen. Some acted nobly and some where cowardly, and all sought to survive. But it was, at last one who acted in the purest love, the woman who but for the sacrifice of her foolhardy boyfriend, would have been one of these monstrosities. Lorna Dane, the ferrokinetic Polaris, struck the blow that would save the life of Alex Summers, even as his attack killed her. Frying the nanites in his blood, the means by which he had been turned into a Horseman, as her dying act, Lorna shattered Apocalypse's hold on Havok. The damaged man fled the sight of his battle, abandoning his armies to bring her to the school in search of a healer. As Elixir tended to Polaris, Alex surrendered to the unworthy denizens of the school, and fell, War brought low by love. But War was not the only Horseman to fall in those battles. Death soon joined him in captivity, taken down by the combined efforts of those who were close enough friends to have become family. Pestilence and Famine fell back after their brothers were contained, but not in defeat. Survival of the Fittest was the new way of the world, and Apocalypse was fit to rule it all.

As Apocalypse began his rise though, in his temple, the first he had stolen freed themselves. Box and the real Beast, not his dark clone, managed to escape and bring vital information to the X-Men and their temporary allies. Back at the school, the amount of injured is beginning to overwhelm the medical staff, and as Mimic is killed in Paris, in the school, one of our own, the speedster Ricochet cannot be saved by Elixir. Before the young healer can properly mourn though, there is another wave of injured. The battles raged for days, even without the Horsemen, and we prepared as much as we could, sending the children to a safety bunker, cleaning up the converts who rampaged throughout the worlds, and using the information provided by those who had been freed or who were struggling against Apocalypse's dominion over their minds and bodies, we struggled to overcome our distrusts and hatreds to find a way to defeat him. Then, April 12th, the end of the world came as Apocalypse unleashed the Eye of Horus, a machine that changed the very face of the earth, and chaos fell upon us all. In the earthquake ravished California, Japan torn by the Ring of Fire, and the hurricane swept New York, our teams dispersed to save the civilians. A team consisting of the leaders of the X-Men, the Brotherhood and the Hellfire Club, and their chosen elite launched an attack on the temple itself, at last bringing Apocalypse down, his final trap to unleash an EMP that nearly killed the last caravan of students, who had taken refuge on an quinjet fueling station. At last though, Apocalypse fell, and his converts and horsemen with him. As his temple sank back into the sands, he left behind something that no one expected. Charles Xavier had returned... or had he? Apocalypse Thread List and Recap

The world began to rebuild and on June 12th, 2009, the X-Men and their students gathered together, not only remember those they had lost, but also to celebrate those young people who had gone above and beyond to exemplify the tenets of Charles Xavier's dream. In the school, Xavier himself, or the man who looks like the Professor, is coming to terms with what he may or may not be. On graduation night, several of the students attended a concert, that in the post-apocalyptic world brought down Shield upon them, and its new director, Cameron Hodge, a man who has already falsified photos to show Havok fighting War for reasons that would very soon be known. July 10th: The reason for the deal between the Brotherhood and the Hellfire Club that cost the lives of everyone on Wolf's Head Island is revealed, as the infiltrated CAGE falls. In the Chaos of the post-apocalyptic world, the scum rises to the top. On July 31st, Doctor Doom attempt to extends Latveria's borders by force. Meanwhile, the HFC's Fight Club lures out a new power in New York, the Infamous Kingpin. August 2nd: Director Hodge plays his hand and offers government sponsorship to X-Factor. He promises immunity for the criminal acts done by many of them in exchange for their going public under Shield dominion. Havok has no choice but to agree. Now, a fully sponsored and funded team, X-Factor was subjected to a series of psych examinations by Dr. Leonard Samson. They are not the most stable of teams, but there was a bond of loyalty felt by all, except by Pietro Maximoff who in his objection to Alex's betrothal to his half sister Lorna, demanded he be tried by the team for the crimes he had committed. When the team stood behind their leader, Quicksilver knew that he could no longer stay in X-Factor. September 12th: Quicksilver joined the Brotherhood and his twin sister, the Scarlet Witch, vanished.

A year ago, members of the X-Men and some of their students went out for an exploratory mission to the Savage Land and they found missing loved ones... but at least one of them was subjected to the enhancement of some strange crystals... And the Owners of the Terrigen Crystals want this crime to be answered for. September 4th, 2009: Scott and Jean take several students on leadership training to the Savage Land, not knowing that the Inhumans have already arrived, and quickly they kidnap Josh Foley to make him pay for having been subjected to the terrigen mists, never mind that they were forced on him. September 11:, X-Factor, meanwhile, goes on their first official Shield sponsored mission, a relief mission to wartorn Latveria which will lead them into a confrontation with Doom himself... or at least a rogue Doombot. Only Havok's team could go on a mission of mercy and end up rescuing Emperor Von Doom! September 14th: The X-Men have been lead to the moon by the Inhuman Maximus, but this confrontation with the Inhumans and the captured Savage Land Mutates has all be part of the Mad Inhumans attempt coup! Luckily the X-Men come to their senses before it is too late. Well, Elixir was damaged and put into a coma, and Amphibius was smashed by a giant hammer, but the rest of us survived unscathed and now with new allies. On November 4th, in a co-ordinated attack, the Brotherhood, in systematic strikes assassinated the President of the United States, the Genengineer, Osama Bin Laden, Media Personality Richard Morgan, Banking Mogul Adam Smith, and the Pope.Back at home, there are other quiet and almost unnoticed damages, as Christmas approached, the lost Wanda, styling herself as Loki, God of Chaos, teaches New York a lesson in being careful what you wish for, until a combination of X-Men, students and Dr. Strange break the spell she has cast over the city, the Sorceror Supreme taking her home to his Sanctum Santorum. With the help of the twins Tommy Shepard and William Kaplan, Doctor Strange discovers where Wanda Maximoff has pulled her brother, her father, and Avery into a dream of a perfect life. At last it was revealed that the twins were Wanda's, conjured through her abilities and spun through time, and though it was heartbreaking to them all, they managed to bring her back to reality. Christmas comes and goes, the year passes, and we entered 2010, with the Brotherhood attacking humanity's great constructions-- Hoover Dam, the Golden Gate Bridge , and the New York Subway SystemThe year seemed to be proceeding in a normal fashion, until something happened that changed how we thought about our universe. We were not the only dimension. A World without Xavier

Seventeen Years ago, Professor Charles Xavier began to form the X-Men by rescuing his first official student, Scott Summers, from a lifetime of potential blindness. But what would happen if at that crucial moment, Xavier never arrived. A Scott Summers of a far less upright character is formed in this other world, and soon, this Scott, a criminal who calls himself Ruby, crosses over, unwillingly, into our world. And, as the X-Men deal with this unpleasant, hard drinking, chain smoking, foul mouthed version of their leader, a terrifying revelation is learned. Scott was not the first. Nearly a month ago, the strange effect began with the reality and probability warpers. William "Wiccan" Kaplan, Wanda "The Scarlet Witch" Maximoff, and the cloned Arthur "Longshot" Centino had been replaced by their counterparts in this other world... ... a world they discover is vastly different from the one they knew. Without Xavier, without the X-Men, there was no one to speak for mutant rights, and a war has divided them from the humans. In this world, Jean Grey heads the Shield's dangerous mutant team, the Thunderbolts. Alex Summers heeds the call to help form a new mutant country, Jus Soli. Magneto is now Magnus, the hero of mutantkind, a beloved savior. Betsy and Brian Braddock are the prisoners of STRIKE. Jara heads the South American rebellion against the mutants who have claimed their land as their own. It is a different world, a harder one, and, the fragile lives these changed versions of those we thought we knew are about to shatter. Because there is a darkness even deeper than this. It begins when Apocalypse, himself, was killed by something more sinister that we yet know. In Russia, Diplomatic Aid to Magnus, Jaqueline Falsworth encounters something dark and frightening that will change the destiny of this world. Soon, the mutants outside of Jus Soli are targeted, a plan to blow up the New York Subway managing to ensnare Ruby and his Reds. The Thunderbolts are called to explore a ruined utopia under the sea, and Alex Summers, now Ambassador of Jus Soli learns the truth about something he's suspected for some time. Jus Soli is falling, and their King is going Mad. And, even worse, the strange flickering between worlds has begun in earnest. Iceman becomes Winter, one of Ruby's gang. Quicksilver and Spitfire cannot outrun the flickers of the other world. Even Jet Black changes places with her counterpart. As Chaos descends over two worlds, all looks lost... until the trapped Scott of our world is rescued by the Alex of theirs... and the anomaly is no longer a secret. Our dimensions are merging. But why? How do the reality warpers factor in? What is happening to Magnus? How do we stop it?

In our world, the Wanda Maximoff who was from that other place began the end, just as she began the beginning, feeling a pull to somewhere in Florida, which just happens to be the Nexus of All Realities, guarded by the Man-Thing. On the other side of the merging universes, Ambassador Summers's plane is shot down on approach to Jus Soli, presumably killing all aboard. But, thanks to the piloting skills of our Cyclops, they survive to witness the breach in the Nexus, and at last, we understand that if we don't get this fixed, and fixed soon, we're all doomed. It is none of us, though, no matter which side we find ourselves on, that are the true danger though. It is someone far darker, far more menacing. Appearing first in the other world, this creature, who calls himself Onslaught has replaced President Magnus, and he has come to this world looking for Charles Xavier, the key to saving both worlds... or destroying them, and Ruby, desperate to keep Scott's life, is more than willing to use the equally desperate and displaced Anne Lee Austin, to turn the Professor over to the monster they thought was their savior. But Xavier never makes it to the other side, and a visit froillm Ruby's angsty version of Speed reveals that they've been betrayed, and the collision of the worlds is too far gone to stop. We're not ones to give up though, and from all sides, the X-Men and X-Factor, the Brotherhood and the Hellfire Club, and the displaced on both sides of Onslaught's void attack en mass. We will find our ways home, and we will save the Professor, our only hope. In the Void of the mad Onslaught's creation, we fought twisted versions of ourselves, the fears of old manipulations, the loss of family, the loss of self, and every manipulative horror that Onslaught could pull from our psyches. And, as Charles Xavier is rescued, and Magneto is redeemed, Onslaught, at last falls! The worlds part, everyone returned to their rightful place, to try and make their respective worlds better places. We learned from a World Without Xavier, that though one man can change a world, that only we can change our own destiny. And, as the violins swelled, and the sunsets on WwX, XMR entered the Heroic Age.

Focusing on smaller, cross faction plots as we recovered from the stress of almost two years of WwX, XMR entered the Heroic Age. Rogue, a Brotherhooder up until now, began to question whether or not she believed in Magneto's beliefs even as he began the exodus of his people to Sanctuary. In the Morlock Tunnels, Sack and Marrow grew discontented with man's dominion over their people, and Rahne Sinclair's foster brother Kevin McTaggert, evolved to become the terrifying Proteus! Spitfire of the Brotherhood and young X-Student Speed quickly fell in love. Jubilee lost control of her powers, a petty crook named "Gorgeous" George Blair was accidentally mutated and Wild Child joined X-Factor. But then, on October 31st, the Brotherhood launched a trap almost three years in the making. Luring Shield Director Cameron Hodge and his team to the Coney Island Murderworld that had been their base, and despite the warnings from Havok and his X-Factorites, the Murderworld is blown to bits, killing all the attacking Shield Agents who had let their innate distrust of mutants, and their arrogant faith in Hodge... But Hodge himself was not a victim of the explosion. He had been executed by Pietro Maximoff, Quicksilver proving himself, at last to his father, and damning himself in the Process. The explosion, the fire consumed Murderworld, but the Brotherhood had fled to Sanctuary. Deep in their new home beneath the sea, new problems began. A group of mutantsm who used the Apocalypse battles to escape from slavery on the isolated island country of Genosha, begin to demand something be done to save their brethren. Revealed to be an X-Factor double agent, Gambit, believing that he had not warned Havok of the Murderworld trap in time, begins a torture existence at the hand of the Acolyte Primal, and Quicksilver, never too mentally stable in the first place, slips into guilt ridden madness. On the world above, our Heroic Age continued, as the Hellfire Black Knight, Longshot arrived at the school, seeking an education in humanity. A mission to find her missing brother leads Surge and her friends to Japan, only to find something more than they expected. Shield is restructured under the leadership of Maria Hill. And on Christmas Day, Quicksilver makes his escape from Sanctuary, rescuing the half dead Dum Dum Dugan and Remy LeBeau, in an attempt to save his soul, though the break out comes at the sacrifice of Gambit's eye and Primal's arm. But as the trio appears at the school, Quicksilver's madness is revealed to have been external, his sanity ripped away for reasons as of yet still known only to his attacker, the mysterious Mr. Sinister. So 2010 ended with two of our own home, but have they been damaged forever?

As the X-Men decide what to do with the suffering and insane Pietro Maximoff, 2011 begins with the Heroic Age drawing to a close. December 30th: A concert attended by several Xavier students becomes chaos when Deadpool and Domino turn it into their own personal shooting gallery. January 7th: Shield is confronted with the dilemma of saving the world from a terrible evil, or murdering a small child. January 18th: Gene Nation steps up their terror attacks on humanity by killing everyone on a subway train before turning on each other.January 20th: The Brotherhood attacks a military base specializing in nullification weapons. January 21st:Pietro Maximoff, accompanied by his sister Wanda, is sent into exile to be cared for by Inhuman doctors, under the supervision of the princess of Attilan, Crystalia. January 25th: Files and abandoned experiments found beneath the Mutant Town orphange run by the man who once helped the newly parentless Scott and Alex Summers suggests something of a far more sinister nature. February 4th: Pietro's plight draws the attention of his Godfather, the man who attended the birth of the boy and his twin sister. The High Evolutionary can cure his Godson, and he and his uplifted Knights begin their journey to the Citadel of the Inhumans. February 19th: A strange summons draws a selection of our characters into a replica of the Old West, where they are made to fill roles left vacant by a corruption that disturbs the balance of a long recurring cycle. Unable to refuse their new lives, they are forced to play their parts to completion or risk never getting back home. February 23rd: Jubilee learns the truth about the man who killed her parents. March 2nd: X-23 is coaxed into joining X-Factor. March 5th: Kyle Gibney is driven into a feral rage by Sabretooth, the same day, Kurt Wagner leaves for a mission of salvation to Sanctuary. March 15th: Longshot, Shatterstar and Volt, the surviving Mojo-Created Clones are lured into a trap by the first imperfect and rejected member of their strange family, Spiral.
