Thats right guys I'm finally putting up the first submission. You can write any story involving any characters from anything as long as it involves a wedding in some way shape or form. (Guess where I got the inspiration!!) You can write the story solo or with your team of personal minions. Also just to get things started this is also the same submission for the artists. Wed those couples!!
Submissions close on the 15th September and we'd like the whole thing in one post please. Thankies!! -------------------- If you want to see the rainbow, sometimes you have to put up with the rain. What do I need a signature for? I'm interesting enough already. |

Say wha?
-------------------- ![]() I'd say I'm sorry to disappoint you, but I'm not. I excel at not giving a shit. Experience has taught me that interest begets expectation, and expectation beget disappointment, so the key to avoiding disappointment is to avoid interest. A equals B equals C Equals A, or whatever. I also don't have a lot of interest in being a good person or a bad person. From what I can tell, either way, you're screwed. Bad people are punished by society's laws, and good people are punished by Murphy's Law. So you see my dilemma. |

I could just ask you this but I'll ask for everyone's benefit as well lol. So we can do a story on weddings as a submission or a picture? Or can we do both?

Thats what it says. You can draw pictures and/or write stories as long as it features weddingness.

The ideas.
They flow. I may just have to try my hand at this Lani. Kekekekeke. -------------------- THE NEARLY ALL POWERFUL GOD OF PERVERSION
Prime: You have a green power ring that contains the magical power of 10 ages. You know superman and you have wonder woman's autograph.... and you pretend to be a fictional hero made of bronze? (In refrence to TL saying 'I still pretend i'm Doc Savage' in another RP) With great power comes the ability to cause a helluva lot of mayhem ![]() ![]() |

Annnd it's technically due today...though there aren't any submissions...even from us... lol But I do have a drawn picture that just needs to be inked and colored and a partially written story. Is that the same with everyone else? Just need more time or should we scrap the idea?

I walked into the room and saw chaos. Complete and total chaos. Jenny was sitting in the corner, staring out the window, her hair half done. Discarded clothes were all over the floor, and the dress she had spent 3 agonizing days picking out, still hung on the door. The other bridesmaids had all run out of the room, having given up trying to get to her. I was making sure things were all set and ready to go downstairs and all hell had broken loose. I walked over and thanked the mascara gods for inventing water proof because her face was covered in tears. Gently I lead her over to the vanity in the suite and sat her down. I picked up the brush and took her hair out of the mess it was in. I didn't talk, just brushed her hair like her mom used to, watching her visibly start to calm down. I grabbed the pack of bobby pins and started pinning up her hair, taking my time, ignoring the clock on the wall telling me to hurry. I let the curling iron warm up. It was like prom all over again, except I was her maid of honor and she wasn't all excited about Bobby Brinkley being her date. And as Jenny's maid of honor, it was my job to make sure she walked down the isle, be it with tears or a big smile. She'd thank me later, even if I dragged her kicking and screaming.
I started curling her hair and smiled at her in the mirror. She just looked at me briefly before dropping her gaze. My mind shifted gears, trying to get her out of the sad depression. "Hey," I indulged her. "This is a day to be happy and excited. This is your day. I'm not wearing this taffeta travesty for my health you know." She looked up at that. And rather than looking worried or scared, she looked angry. Which is just what I wanted. Got her mind out of gloomyville. I grabbed the curling iron and started curling her hair in section. "What do you mean travesty? You helped pick these out." "Did I?" I replied, pinning a few of her curls up. "Or did I give you my opinion and you went your own way anyway?" She glared at me in the mirror. I smiled back. "I told you specifically. Sea foam green looks good only if you get the right kind of dress. You got the wrong kind of dress." I motioned to the mermaid cut gown I was wearing. It wasn't a bad choice at all actually. It gave curves to those who had none and accentuated those who did. I was just egging her on. It was quite fun. It always had been. "So you're trying to pick a fight, with me, on my wedding day?" I just rolled my eyes. "So you're acknowledging that today is your wedding day? I never would have known with that sad look on your face. You'd think you were going to a funeral! I just thought angry might give a bit of color to those cheeks. Now get up and put this dress on." "Don't order me around!" Despite saying that, Jenny got up and threw the dress over her head, her arms coming out of the arm holes, the top of her head just peaking out of the sweetheart neckline. I laughed a little and walked over, yanking down on the hemline and zipping it up in the back. She had an annoyed look on her face as I came around to touch up her hair. She had realized what I was doing. I knew that look. That look said I was in so much trouble. I just laughed. "I so hate you right now." "I'm your maid of honor, which means you made me responsible for getting you married. So that means you made it my job to piss you off. Also as your best friend, I have privileges to do so." She stared at me for a bit, her mouth set in a frown. Then, "Bitch," she said endearingly. "Slut," I smiled back. I looked at the clock on the wall and smiled wider. Perfect timing. I rushed behind her and grabbed her by the shoulders, marching her toward the door. She didn't resist as I got her to the elevator and led her to the ballroom they had reserved for today. Everyone looked very relieved to see her there. They signaled inside and everyone from the wedding party filed in like a well orchestrated dance. As I stood in my position and watched her come up the isle, I smiled. She looked happy, a complete 180 from earlier. I had done my job, and she'd thank me later. -------------------- ![]() I'd say I'm sorry to disappoint you, but I'm not. I excel at not giving a shit. Yeah, sure. Long as it has something to do with a wedding and adheres to the rules of the site.

Yeah, I know, even I forgot about this contest. Suppose that means Maddy wins.
