Let's take a trip back in time, before the second Wizard's War, even before the first.
It is the 1970s and the Marauders are still attending school at Hogwarts.
They haven't conceived The Order yet and no one has even heard of Lord Voldermort.
Instead, they are all going about their lives normally.
And why shouldn't they.
Nothing has gone wrong and it doesn't seem that anything will soon.

The boys have their whole lives to live in this AU Marauders Era Hogwarts.
With no doom impending, they can find out who they are and where they want to go with their lives.
They and their other classmates have no reason to rush their lives.
