DUNGEONS AND SUB-LEVELS.
below the school are the dark dungeons hidden under the cold lake. the chilling corridors are haunted with shadows, salazar slytherin spending the majority of his time skulking around the the narrow corridors where darkness seems to follow any visitor.

ENTRANCE HALL.
the entrance hall has double oak front doors, opening to the west. upon entering you find a large, cavernous room, lit by torches, with ceiling so high it's barely visible. there is a wide marble staircase opposite the front doors that leads up to first floor. double doors to the right lead into the great hall and on the east wall are two doors, one on either side of the staircase. to the north of the staircase is a door leading down a flight of steps to the first dungeon level.

FIRST, SECOND AND THIRD FLOORS.
the start of a students long trek around the school. the first few floors hold all sorts of delights, including the usual talking portraits and the twisting, winding staircases. make sure you watch out for the trick stair because no one's going to help you out of it!

FOURTH, FIFTH AND SIXTH FLOORS.
the next three floors of hogwarts school hold even more danger than the previous three. with retired ghosts haunting the stairs and the portraits muttering away it's easy to get a little worried - especially when the stairs start moving!

SEVENTH FLOOR AND THE TOWERS.
the tallest points in the school and, of course, the most dangerous. alongside the towers that could scare even the bravest of students there are also the ghosts that tend to prefer the darkness of the higher places. whether you're looking for a classroom or want to see the stars, it's never safe to wander at night.

THE GROUNDS.
peaceful at almost any time, during any weather, there's so much to do on the grounds, whether it's taking a walk, tending to business, swimming in the lake, or playing a game. the lush green of the grass, or even the magical landscape of snow is perfect at any time in any weather. the distance houses a wonderful scene of the white capped mountains, so sit and think, or run around, either way it's hard to grow bored here.

FIRST EDITION.
enter the doors of this shop and expect to get bombarded by stacks of books. the elderly witch who owns this surprisingly small bookstore keeps it stocked with every book known to the wizarding world. the general area has the typical books one would expect to seen in a bookstore, however, proceed with caution to the restricted area, where you must be at least seventeen to enter and each book is protected against younger readers getting their hands on them.

right in the center of hogsmeade's high street sits the apothecary. students from hogwarts can come down on the weekend to pick up more supplies for their potions lockers. the shop stocks ingredients for every type of potion imaginable: from babbling beverage to polyjuice potion

THE QUEEN'S QUILLS.
one of the 'bountiful' shops along the breathtaking horizon of hogsmeade. its products consist of quills and proper items for quill-care. beautiful feathered quills are on display here, ranging from common birds like pigeon and parakeet, to the more exotic birds like raven and phoenix (though these come at quite a hefty price, as a phoenix only gives feathers to those it trusts. quite a rarity). bottles of ink are also sold here, in every color imaginable, and the standard shade of black for those more traditional customers. whatever your quill needs, they will surely have it!

THE HARPY'S TRAIL.
unlike the other shops of hogsmeade, this is a tavern for those weary of soul and in need for a good drink. of course, tired people isn't all the harpy's trail serves; it's a popular location among the staff and students of Hogwarts, both for leisure and social purposes. the harpy's trail serves as an inn, a tavern, and a sort of makeshift snackbar for those in need... a perfect combination of services.

CRAVEN'S CONFECTIONARY.
another one of the shops adorning hogsmeade, this one specifying in the sweet buisness. delicious candies are proudly displayed in the front window, showing off their bright colors and boasting even sweeter flavors. inside is a jungle of shelves, delectable confections of all sorts, and crowds of happy children lined up at the counter. everyone seen leaving this shop can be seen with a smile on their face.

WONKY PETE'S JOKE SHOP.
once a lesser business shop, wonky pete's is now blooming with commerce. it seems that with a school nearby, products these days tend to fly off the shelves. peter, the owner, can now often be seen restocking faster than any of the other shopkeepers, more than a bit smugly. located on the end of high street, this joke shop will definitely meet your pranking needs; whether it's dungbombs or fake-vomit you're after.

mrs. o'donnell and her spinster sister own and operate this shoppe at the very top of hogsmeade's high street. here you will find a much quieter crowd than that of the harpy's trail. the patrons who visit this shoppe come to enjoy a good cup of tea paired with various tasty pastries, which are mrs. o'donnell's specialty.

on the outskirts of the market district is a small, dimly lit stone structure run by a weedy little goblin by the name of ragnok. most in town entrust their funds to him simply for security reasons - others have no other idea what to do with it. either way it isn't unusual to see a few people wander into his shop to deposit or withdraw gold now and again.

THE GATE.
the large colosseum-like structure stands protected by a pair of sentinel guards by day and an iron gate by night. this is the place to purchase your ticket, sign up for a future match, or put in your number in to request a bet. make sure to arrive early enough to avoid the crowds and lines! fights can't sell out fast enough these days.

THE ARENA.
the screech of metal against metal echoes throughout the distance of the almost amphitheater-like stands of the dueling arena, an iron clad gate guarding the event from innocent passerbys. if one gets close enough, they can hear the uprising cries from the stands along with the grunts of the warriors. in the circular center stands the proud combatants that come from near and far to earn their name in dueling, because after all, in every match... their lives are forfeit.

JOUSTING PITCH.
where combatants test their skills on horseback, wielding only a shield in one hand and a lance in the other. one of the more popular events in town due to the high stake in bets, while each fighter charges at the other in attempts to unsaddle him from his mount. take a seat in the upper rafters for the best view, or claim standing room if you want the closest point to the action.

RACE TRACK.
for horses, or horses and chariots alike, the traditional venue of races is carried on at this very track. dirt lanes are molded into a circle, surrounded by wooden bench seating for spectators. each lane is rather narrow, and if a challenger is unlucky enough to be caught in too sharp of a turn, they will collide head first with the pit wall - to the gasps and groans of a full crowd. typical events are 10 lap sprints, however in tournament circumstances the rules may change.

DRAGONSLAYER.
the event that separates the knights from the squires, the men from the boys, held in a ring wide enough to fit both the battler and the beast. in this event, there are creatures ranging from dragons and manticore, to centaurs and trolls. instead of fighting man-to-man, the goal here is to defeat the fire-breathing or hoof bearing creature as quickly as possible to climb the ranks of champions.

this area houses the richer witches and wizards residing in hogsmeade. if your family hasn't been wealthy for many generations, or unless you have a title, there is no way you would be able to afford these castle-like houses.

here you will find the more run down houses. witches and wizards with lower incomes reside here. this area is known for the various crimes that occur here almost every day. if you are one of the unfortunates to live in willow's glen, may merlin have mercy on your poor soul.
