Jessie raced through the air, She could see a tree getting closer and closer. She was about to run into it, one foot, half an foot, two inches and... Jess swerved up at the last minute, a crowed of 5th graders clapped and cheered. Jessie bowed while purposly putting too much weight on one foot. The hoverboard flipped, knocking her off. She carefuly grabbed the bottom of it and hung. Jessie grinned stupidly and let go, the kids gasped and one little girl even screamed. Jess landed on her feet like a cat, and stood up straight, she whistled and her board came flying back to her. The crowed cheered again and Jess bowed. A couple of older people at the park gave her dirty looks as she struted away, thinking up a new stunt as she went.

Hollis was leaning against the shady side of this same tree reading a book. These days it was rare to see someone doing that, because most books were online, but Hollis didn't really care. She liked to be different anyways. Today, the small red-headed girl was wearing a pair of dark denim bermuda shorts that were cuffed at the knee, a white t-shirt and a cropped grey sweater with sneakers tied nicely at her feet. There were two green hairties holding back pigtail braids and she had sunglasses perched ontop of her head.

There was a scream and she turned around to see a girl jumping off a hoverboard. She recognized it to be Jess, one of her few friends. Her face remained straight, however, she smiled inside. That was typical of her friend. Carefully, she closed her book and lay it down beside her, standing up to go watch the spectacle. She found it quite entertaining to watch Jess entertain the kids.

When her friend landed, she smirked at her. "Nice one," she said quietly, but she was also giggling a little bit.

"Hey Holls," Jess said brightly. "Yeah, I've been practicing that one for EVER, glad everyone liked it." she jumped back on her board and hovered a few feet off the ground. She flew circles around her friend, "I just downloaded a new song onto my JBP. I found it while going through my great grandmas stuff, its by some guys called 'The BackStreet Boys' they were really big in the 1990s and early in the Millennium. You gotta hear this!" she pulled out her JukeBox player and put it on speaker. "You've got something, So incredible in my eyes, And my heart, It starts pumpin', Whenever you're around, The whole world's upside down baby, But I try to get closer, And you always push me away, You tell me it's much too soon, But I just can't help it, I always gotta make a play." Jess laughed at the ridiculous lyrics. "So whatya reading?" she asked, grabbing the book from Hollis' hands

Hollis tried to keep her eyes on Jess but it didn't really work seeing as she was going around in circles. She giggled a little bit at the lyrics. "Who would actually like those guys? That's ancient crap if you ask me," she said, crossing her arms indignantly across her chest. What corny lyrics. It was quite tinny and made Hollis' ears cringe. "I'm reading Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. The series is ancient... it's from way back in the 2000's... but it's really good. It was some sort of phenomenon back then..." she said. It was such a long time ago. Hollis was really excited to finish this book and read the last one.

Jess groaned, "Why do you have to be such a geek!" she laughed. "I heard that the guy that played Harry in the movie died about a month ago. His name was, Tom Felton I think..." Jess stopped spinning and sat on her still floating board. "He was only 77, really sad." ((I know Tom doesn't play Harry tongue.gif))

Hollis shrugged, stuffing her hands in her pockets. "It's my parent's fault I'm a dork," she said in her usual hushed tone. She nodded. "Yeah, I heard that too... but wasn't his name like Danny Rat or something? I didn't bother to watch the movies... they don't have APP files of them anyways." The TV and the DVD player were a thing of the past... now people had portable screens that they unfolded and downloaded movies onto.

Jess shrugged, “Maybe you could find it at the library, I’ve heard that they have an old DVD player. I think they even have a video tape player.” Out of the corner of her eye Jess saw something shinny, she turned to see a Silver walking through the park, his hair sparkling in the sun. Jessie grinned evilly and jumped on her feet. “Watch this,” she said quietly to Hollis. She flew straight at the young Silver screaming, “Watch out! I’ve lost control!” his icy blue eyes widened as he fell on the ground to keep from getting hit. Jess laughed as he picked himself up and dusted his selves. Turning around, Jessie flew right over the boy’s head, so close he would be able to feel the board skim over his hair. Jess flew back to Hollis still giggling, “Did you see he look on his face? Priceless!”

Hollis's eyes widened in shock. Those must be antiques they were so old... But, of course, Hollis liked old things, and history. She made a mental note to go to the library to check that out. Wait... she didn't have to. In the pocket of her shorts, she had a small device with a large red button on it. She pressed this button, and an automated voice repeated, "Note saved." With a satisfied nod, she turned her attention to Jess. Her lips formed into a tiny smile as she watched her friend tease the Silver. "It was priceless," she said quietly.

"They're so stupid! I mean, they may be able to do 'magic' but they can't even tell when someones just joking!" Jess laughed. She looked at her friend with a smile. Hollis was everything Jess wasn't, pretty, graceful, quiet, smart. While Jess was wild, a klutz, loud and never thought about things. It amazed most people that they were friends.

Hollis nodded. Personally, she didn't have a problem with Silvers, but she still thought it was slightly ironic that they didn't know that her friend was joking. "I wouldn't call them stupid... but naive, maybe?" she suggested as a better word choice.

"Whatever," Jessie said, rolling her eyes. "Their as dumb as a dorrknob in my book." ahe started flying in circles agin, getting bored. "Man, why do guys always have to get grounded?" she complained loudly.

((WE NEED MORE PEOPLE! Ya can't keep an RP alive with three people!))

"'Cause guys typically get in more trouble than girls. You being the exception, of course," Hollis said, a tiny ironic grin crossing her face. She also wished that some more guys would come hang out with them even though she wasn't that social of a person. Today she felt like laughing.

"Now that isn't nice!" Jessie said laughing. "How would you like it if I..." Jess trailed off, Hollis never did anything bad. Nothing to hold over her head. "You're too good, Hollis!"

Hollis laughed. "It's the sad truth," she said, crossing her arms. "I don't know how to be bad, really. It's not in my nature." She smiled, thinking of ways that would be fun to break the rules. The options were nearly endless. However, her parents were pretty strict about those things, so she didn't want to face their wrath.

Duanna walked though the park, wearing her usual attire of a blue top, black trousers and flat boots. In her hand was a small vacuum-packed box of food that she was going to give to Greyfax.

She was looking around, taking in what the other people in the park were doing, her attention was caught by a girl laughing under a tree and Duanna smiled, happy that today was a good day.
