The pack leader was lying under the shade of the tree, yawning slightly. She kept a watchful eye over all the wolves in her sight. They seemed content and safe. It made her proud to be called their leader.
She looked around. The males were mostly out hunting and the females were all busy. No time to play the role of lover right now. The pack's bachelors were all looking for food, not mates. Ah well, she was inwardly smiling. It just meant she'd be concentrating more centered on being a pack leader. |
