“well you think that you can take me on, you must be crazy.”

NAME: Chrissy
GENDER: Female
CONTACT:PM or AIM

• essentials
BIRTHNAME: Strawberry NICKNAME: Fledge
DATE OF BIRTH: 7 JULY 2005
AGE: 2300 but looks as if he was five, that would be about 17 in human years.
GENDER: Male
RACE: Winged Horse
PLAYBY: Horse

• carnality
NATIONALITY: Andalusion/Draft horse mix. (Caucasian)
HEIGHT AND WEIGHT: 15 Hands (54 inches)
DISTINGUISHING QUALITIES: Brown wings, large enough to carry the 1500pound animal to great distances. The wings are lined with gold feathering at the roots and end in a black tip, giving it an outlined look.
APPEARANCE:
Fledge has black eyes, so black you cannot see into them but you can see yourself. Around his eyes the skin doesn't grow giving him a Velvet, smooth appearance around the eyes. Fledge has a dished face, where the bridge of his nose dips in which gives his nose a flared appearance. Because his face is dished and his nose always flared it makes him seem as if he is wild with that crazy look in his eye. Just like around his eyes, his nose is bald with the black velvet skin appearing. Fledge has perfect conformation, which means his body is perfectly proportioned.

Fledge's neck is long. At the point where his head attaches to his neck its slender and thing but gradually widens as it blends into his shoulders. His whole body ripples with speed bumps of muscles. His legs are like his mothers, the good ones anyway. They are slender and elegant but with a thick bone to hold up his own body weight as well as others.

They called him Strawberry for his strawberry roan coat color. He has chestnut mane and tail that was lighter than his coat color in the winter and darker in the summer. Black strands of hair flicker in and around the chestnut banners on his neck and rump. Patches of white smoked horse dance along the dark chestnut body. A white, backwards question mark lines the middle of his face with a pink spot on the tip on his nose. White socks line the bottom of his legs, wrapping around black hoofs.

Fledge is a smaller horse, standing only at 15 hands, 54 inches at the shoulder. He wasn't able to grow properly with his malnutrition. Fledge has two saddle soars on each side of his wither where two large circles of white hair grow from the pinching of the saddle. On two sides of his gut are patches of bald skin where the constant kicking of spurs grew and bled out. They are small but are noticeable as are his saddle soars.

Fledges wings are the same color as his coat but are more extravagant looking. They are large and resemble a swans wing structure. At the root of each feather it has a gold coloring and then blending into the red roan coloring. This gives his wings a shimmer and elegant feel when the sun hits is. At the very tip of the feathers there is a black lining. This gives Fledge's wings more contrast and outlines between light or dark environments.

• psyche
STRENGTHS:
  1. Physical Strength- For being 2300 years old, but being immortal he has the muscle mass of a young race horse and more. With his strength comes his endurance to go long distances and not get tired.
  2. Wings- with having wings he is able to fly to places, and gives him an advantage to fly overseas at half the time of a ship.
  3. Smarts- Fledge has learned a lot from his time and has seen many battles. Death was common to him and he soon became facinated to it. Fledge is close to Aslan and the pevensie children and wishes to help them with all that he has learned. He has seen the battles and knows what most did wrong in their attempts and is considered noble for his long life.
WEAKNESSES:
  1. Death of a loved one- although he has seen death many times and it has come to almost an everyday event, loosing the live of one that he has loved is heart breaking to him. He wishes they could have the immortality as Asland has given him but he knows that is unlikely. Fledge almost went into a depression after the loss of Frank.
  2. Dark- Fledge hates the dark, all those night creatures just waiting to eat him. His second night in Narnia he was attacked by some sort of wild, large cat. He was lucky enough to get away before the ting sunk its claws into her back.
  3. Capture- the one thing he fears the most. To be in human hands once more, to be made to pull or do something he wishes not to. To be put into that position again would almost be suicidal.
QUIRKS / FLAWS:
  1. Spazz- Fledge is very hyper and with his hyper-ness he becomes hyper sensitive to loud noises, kicks, jerks. Because of this he will spook at many things.
  2. Nosey- He has to know what going on with other people or creatures. Most of it is because he has no one to talk to himself, he has to budge into someone else's life- but only for a couple moments.
  3. Eavesdrop- gossip. Who doesn't love it? Fledge is really good at it because of his tube-like ears sitting on the top of his head are like little sonars detecting and picking up noises.
AMBITIONS:
  1. Be noble again, as Aslan has made him to be- since the new sons of Adam and daughters of Eve have come, the whole world has seemed to forgot about him. As has Aslan himself.
  2. To be considered more than just a winged/talking horse. To be once more, the father of all talking horses/winged horses in Narnia- Fledge has only fathers two horses in his time in Narnia. One a talking horse and another winged horse, both of which he has not seen in many years. Aslan has given many horses the ability to speak besides him, but he is still the father to winged horses.
  3. To serve in an army or fight in a war- He has seen many wars and knows their strategies. Fledge would be superb in this for he can fly as well as speak with the extra bonus of having a horse body to carry or pull.
FEARS:
  1. Death- seems a bit selfish, but he doesn't want to die and will avoid all costs of it.
  2. Narnia being overthrown by evil- He loves Narnia, even though it has forgotten of him. The last thing he would want to see happen to Narnia would be to be destroyed, as the Telmarines did in their recent war. Destroying Cair Paravel, his only home.
  3. Going back to London
INTERESTS:
  1. Ocean
  2. London- "how is it since I left?"
  3. Lands undiscovered
  4. Aslan
  5. Pevensie Children
  6. Life after death
  7. The stars
  8. Other Planets
  9. Narnian/Calormen/Telmarine/Archenland government
  10. War
  11. Mares!
  12. Being lead stallion of his own herd
  13. Wether
  14. Adventure/Outdoors
  15. Conversations
UN-INTERESTS:
  1. Rude People
  2. Your problems
  3. Pulling a Cart
  4. jousting
  5. any games
  6. telling stories
  7. keeping secrets
  8. "can you do my a favor?" Fletch-"no"
  9. telling How he got his wings
  10. telling How he was able to talk
  11. Telling how he got here
  12. little children
  13. Centaurs/driads/ talking mice
PERSONALITY:
Fledge, before he came to Narnia was as heartless as his is now. Not caring about what anyone had thought of him or of the world, for all he cared they could all die. Before Narnia, he would have wanted to hurt or injure those men who kicked him in the gut so much soars would ooze out blood. But his strength was gone as was his will power, he just wanted to fall asleep and never wake up, never have to pull or have someone upon his back. To live in the endless grass hills, to see his mother again.

Old habits still stick with Fledge. Loud Noises will make him dart forward in an attempt to run away from the evil thing chasing him when it was just a fire crack or a branch breaking. Sharp pains will cause him to fall, as if he was trying to escape it by laying down upon the floor. He has had little children sit upon his back as well as been in a full suit of armor with Frank, who is heavy, on his back as well, but that was before he is what he is.

Fledge doesn't mind death, just not to himself. Recently he has taken up stealing, witch is not that easy for a horse, especially one with wings. Fledge is very agile and can snake around like a snake around trees, bushes and houses. Fledge has killed before and it doesn't seem to phase him but it hurts inside him. All that Fledge needs is a firm hand to put him back into his place, to take the wild out of him

Late at night Fledge will stand in his cave in the mountains and watch Narnia from up high. He rarely flies anymore and doesn't speak anymore but to himself. He remembers of how it used to be in Narnia, when all was peaceful. He was the best friend to Aslan and was one of the very few that started Narnia, the brought this all together. Now he is shunned from society, they all have seemed to have forgotten about him. If only someone would remember him and make him feel like he is part of Narnia that he is as great as Aslan and to remember who he is.

Fledge fears of the dark, being captured and death of a loved one. He fears the dark because of once incident he cad come across. He had been sent to deliver a message and it was to be sent by the morning. It was night and he could hear things ruffling behind him, wich only made him quicken his pace. A large, wild cat leapt for his back. Fledge has just enough time to let out a kick and injur the animal, giving him time to run off. Ever since he had been afraid to venture out in the dark. The fear of being captured has led him out of human hands, out from their sight and out of their life. Having to pull a cart or just the fact of doing something against his will would almost being him to death. Fledge also fears the death of a loved one, the death of Frank made him go into a deep depression. Another reason why he fled to isolation, not wanting to feel love in fear of their death. He was immortal and would never die unless killed, and seeing others die that he loved was depressing.

[size=0]PARENTS:
FATHER: Sir.Red- the noble war horse(dead)

"I always wanted to be like my father, he was from Narnia and served in great battles. Aslan and many others knew him for his nobility and honesty. I never met my father, but I have herd stories about him."

    MOTHER: Rose- cab horse(dead)

"I was very attached to my mother, although, I did not live with her long. At only a month old I was separated from her and put onto formula milk. The nasty shit was supposed to be a replacement for mares milk, but it had the most foul taste in it. My mother was a case of animal abuse. She was simply bred over and over again to produce strong carriage horses. My father was originally from London and was a draft breed- and to make stronger carriage horses they began to crossbreed. My mother was the most gentle horse I have ever met. At the age of two I saw her in the back of a flat wagon, a tarp thrown over her body. I never got to say goodbye."
SIBLINGS:
BROTHER / SISTER: None Known, but they are out there. Half brothers and sisters.
HISTORY:
Fletch was born in London and had his whole life planed out for him before he was an egg in his mother. He was to be a Cab horse, a horse to pull people around in along the hard streets of London. Horses where rented out to people to either be ridden or to pull. The cab horses where not fed properly, thus their bones where covered with a thin layer of skin. Many horses died on the streets from Ringbone, old age, starvation, dehydration and being beat to death. The life of a cab horse was brutal, their only goal in life was to die, to get themselves out of the misery.

Rose, Fletches mother was twelve years old when she gave birth to him. She was not old, if she had been kept well. Rose was an andalusion mare who had come from Spain. She used to be beautiful, pampered and trained in the most beautiful riding, dressage. That all came to an end when she broke her hind leg. She was kept inside her whole life until the leg healed. She was unable to walk properly and was sent to be a cab horse, a brood mare. She had had six foals before Fletch. Sir.Red, Fletches father was a London cab horse. He was of a draft horse breed, his heavy and large body made it easier to pull large loads. He too was a cab horse. Much of his history is unknown as is how he was able to get to Narnia. The two horses where bred together to make a horse that was strong, and tall but also elegant and flowing.

Thus, Fletch was born. He was born in a cold stall with nothing but stone as the floor. His mother licked him clean and urged him to stand and drink the sweet milk that would forever heal him. Rose was nothing but skin and bone from malnourish. When Fletch was a month old he was to be put on milk replacement for his mother was unable to produce any more milk. All the nutrients where to be used for her own body, to help her survive a little longer. Fletch was separated from her and put in a different stall, next to hers but with many other foals. The two would still talk to each other everyday but the bond began to dwindle as his mother knew her fate as she knew his.

When Fletch was a year he was sent into training. Training as they called it, beating as the horses called it. These people knew nothing of their so-called training, it was just pulls and tugs, whips and kicks. They would ride him until he was unable to stand and made him pull until he had to lay down. At only a year he wanted to die, to go to what they had called heaven. The images he thought of where of long green grass, endless hills with horses running and frolicking in the rivers and sun. Fletch would eavesdrop on peoples conversations as he pulled most to church on Sundays.

A year went by as his job never ended. The only rest he got was in-between the stops and the waiting. The city never slept, all night and all day. The stone was hard on his feet, he had never felt the tick of grass, the smell of flowers or the grain of sand. When he was fed it was the produce people had dropped on the floor and what little children stole from the vendors. Fletch was now two years old, he hadn't seen his mother in weeks. He can remember the day as clear as the the sun. It was a cold, rainy day. He was in line waiting for the next passenger. Two horses pulled a flat wagon with a lump in the middle covered by a tarp. A horses head stuck out of the tarp, its eyes clouded as its lifeless tongue hung out. Fletch knew it was his mother, it was without a doubt it was her, the white stripe along the blue-black coat.

The day he had first seen Narnia was on a sunny day. He was now three. He was pulling a man to the country side when they disappeared. They had come to a place with many pools of crystal water on a black floor. It was beautiful, like melted stars. Other people where there with Frank and Fletch. At that time, however he was called Strawberry. A small boy Digory, an evil queen, Jadis, and Uncle Andrew. Digory then again takes them all into the wrong pool & they end up in a world yet to be made. Soon they all hear singing which seems to cause the stars to begin to shine and the sun begin to rise. The song was beautiful and would almost make you melt. Looking around the new area, Frank(the NICE cab driver who Fletch grew attached to.) starts to take off his tack. Looking around the place looked like a wooded town. Fletch stomped his feet and felt the cool dirt with grass growing. Joy filled Fletch and though he was in heaven. When they walked about they saw a great lion, named Aslan. Aslan is the one singing; creating a new world in the process. Using an iron bar from London, Jadis attacks Aslan, but it only bounces off of him & grows into a lamppost in the young Narnian soil.

After speaking with Aslan, and sending Jadis back, Aslan decides to create speaking creatures. He had chosen some birds and mice, but then he turned to Fletch. He renamed Strawberry into Fletch as he let out a great roar. Fletch got startled, but then let out a scream. The rough, deep voice parted Fletches lips as he spoke in fluent english. Digory confesses that it was him who woke Jadis & it was him who brought her to Narnia. So Aslan sends him on a journey with Polly & Fledge to get the apple of youth to protect Narnia.

Aslan turned to Fletch and let out another great roar. Large, bird-like wings came from his shoulders. At first Fletch felt like he was in hell, how was this possible? The flap of the wings drove the horse upward and into the sky. Testing out the new wings and figuring out how to use them he returned to the group. They fly to the walled garden & Digory grabs the apple. But Jadis appears & tempts him to eat the apple to gain eternal life or sneak away back to London & give it to his mother who is very sick. Jadis herself has already eaten an apple, thus proving its powers. Digory would have done anything to save his mother, but believes she would not want him to steal. So he takes the apple to Aslan.

Back with Aslan, Digory is instructed to plant the apple in the ground. It grows into a tree that will protect Narnia from the Witch since she stole an apple from the original tree in a selfish way, its fruit is now abhorrent to her. Aslan then gives him an apple from the tree of protection to save his mother. A ceremony is held to crown Frank & his wife Helen as the first king & queen of Narnia. Then Digory, Polly, & Uncle Andrew are sent back to London. Aslan then gives an apple to Fletch, giving him immortal life. Aslan wanted him to be his advisor who lived in Narnia and never had to leave like he had to.

Fleth herd from Aslan about what Digory had done. Digory's mother is healed after she eats the apple & Digory buries the apple core in his backyard. He buries all the rings around the core. Later it grows into a tree, but is knocked down in a storm. Digory has it turned into a wardrobe, rather then to have it cut up for firewood. He puts the wardrobe into his old house in the country where he is a professor.

Fletch went into hiding, being the only speaking horse and winged horse was hard for him at first. After a year of hiding he returned to Cair Paravel, where Frank and Hilen reigned as King and Queen of Narnia. They grew old as Fletch stayed young. Many animals where now able to speak as Aslan created new ones, one such as Fauns and Centaurs. Fletch was the high mount for the king and queen as well their personal advisor. Fletch and Aslan where very close and talked about the future and what would happen.

Fledge had been strolling the halls of the empty Cair Paravel. The glass windows and arches where truly magnificent pieces of art. Narnia was in war once more, as Aslan had gone when Frank and Helen had died. Fledge had been depressed ever since his wonderful king had died. As he stepped out into the cold he couldn't help but overhear a bid chip to another about a daughter of Eve coming into Narnia. Fledges heart leapt and dashed to the lamp-post. She had gone already, her foot prints left in the snow.

Narnia had been controlled by the White Witch for some time and he was just waiting for a son of Adam and daughter of Eve to bring back the Natural order to things in Narnia. Fledge found himself falling asleep in the woods by the lamp-post when he hears more children. He wanted to go and greet them but though it best to watch for a while and let them take it all in. Fledge learned their names fast. Edmund was the youngest son, Peter the oldest. Susan was the oldest daughter and Lucy the youngest. Peter and Susan where not there but the two children did speak of them.

The White Witch was approaching, hearing the jungle of her carriage. He hated the White Witch, she attempted to capture him to pull her carriage but he got away by a hair. The Witch Witch introduced herself to Edmund as the Queen of Narnia. The Witch feeds Edmund an enchanted Turkish Delight, which gives Edmund an insatiable desire for the chocolate. The Witch uses Edmund's greed and gluttony to convince Edmund to bring back his siblings to meet her. Lucy had gone another way and did not meet the White Witch, the two met up and returned through the wardrobe.

A day had gone by as Fledge watched the wardrobe in the forest in front of it. The four children appear once more and hurry off, as Lucy leads them. Fledge continued to follow them, weaving in and around trees. Making his greatest attempt to make a noise. They entered the house of Tumnus- ovcourse. The little goat-man was so nice and had a charm in persuading people. Fledge had lost interest from there and made his way to this high mountain top overseeing Narnia. Just below was the White Witches castle. Seeing how she was preparing, war was going to break out. Aslan must have been back.

Some days went past watching the witch prepare. Creatures and beasts formed outside of the castle, marching their way to war. Fledge followed behind them, flying high above to stay out of sight. The was was a bloody one as many died on both sides. Fledge caught sight of Aslan and wanted to fly down to him but stayed atop the clouds watching down. He killed the witch and the children stayed.

A year later Fledge decided to come front to the children and Aslan. They where all very please to see him once more and Fledge walked the halls of Cair Paravel once more, but this time with the sons and daughters of Adam and Eve. They told him stories of London and how it was since he had left. The same. The children had been getting older as Aslan had long been gone. Word got out about the White Stag, as they children went out in an attempt to capture it. They must have stumbled across their original entrance as they never came back.

Fledge had been disbanded from Aslan as he left when the Pevensie children left. He had been living in the forests, hiding. He had been father to only but two foals in 2303 years. A speaking horse and another winged horse, but aslan had given this speaking power to other horses as well, but he was still the father of all winged horses. Fletch grew into a thief and rogue, stealing from innocent creatures and people in small villages. He longed to be along side the pevensie children and aslan again, but the death of Frank and Helen was unbearable. Deep inside, he is hurting and wants someone to bring him back to what he used to be. War had broken out again between the Telmarines and the Narnians. Almost all Narnians where killed but non knew of Fledge and where he stayed, watching the Telmarines above their castle, the same place above the White Witch.
The Children have come back, and Fledge longs to see them as well as Aslan, but fears of being caught or seen.

BIRTHNAME: I could be mistaken on this, but wasn't Fledge originally called Strawberry? If so, Strawberry would be the birth name. Also, where it says ETYMOLOGY HERE, copy and paste the information from the link you gave. If you are using Strawberry, the etymology can be found here: http://www.behindthename.com/submit/view.php?name=strawberry
AGE: Narnia is only 2303 years old -- how can he be 13000 years old?
• carnality
NATIONALITY: Even horses have nationalities. Fledge would have been a Caucasian horse, because he is not Hispanic, African-American, etc.
HEIGHT AND WEIGHT: As other members are too, I am unfamiliar with the system of hands and would prefer you to write out the height (at the shoulders, perhaps) and weight in pounds.
DISTINGUISHING QUALITIES: Please write a few sentences about his brown wings - if they're distinguished enough to be mentioned, they oughta be pretty special imo.
APPEARANCE: There are quite a few spelling errors. Try putting your application into Word to correct these. Also, I believe more detail can be included in some parts of the appearance. Try to lengthen it out.
• psyche
    STRENGTHS:
    1. He is not 13000 years old.
    2. There's some more spelling errors.

    WEAKNESSES:
    1. You have an additional D on the end of Aslan.
    2. Why does Fledge hate the dark?
    3. You haven't filled this one in.

QUIRKS / FLAWS, LIKES, DISLIKES, FEARS:
    1. The only main thing that's wrong is the spelling errors.

PERSONALITY: The personality you've written is fitting. Just to reiterate about the number of spelling errors, (:. I also think you could add more detail. If you add a paragraph on each of the topics you filled out above, you could have a six paragraph plus personality. (:
• background check
HISTORY: As I don't know the history of Fledge, I can only assume that what you've written is correct. Do not be afraid to add detail - you said you took a lot out. Put it back in. There's never enough detail. Just proofread this, because of spelling errors and stuff.

Overall, your application is good. Just needs to be improved in a few spots. Also, at the top, Fledge should be written in all lowercase letter and you need an image. if you provide a picture of a horse you think describes fledge (obviously without wings biggrin.gif) you can send it to me and I'll make it for you. Post back here when you're done or flag me down. XD

ok I edited it. Although, I do not like the picture I have up for him. I have a request up on RC&R for a signature as well as an Icon- but I know those wont be coming in soon because of its challange. Making a Pegasus is quite hard, I must say so myself.XD. And me, im super picky on my graphics. They have to look life-like and real with a hint of dark and evil along with fun and vibe. But, thats me. If you want to take a go at this, let me know! Here is the LINK.

As for your question on his history I snagged it from various sites where it states his history as well as the summary for the chapter he is in. Here is the main one I got it from: HERE. I made alot of his youth and up to The Lion The Witch & The Wardrobe part up. Im also thinking of making another character but ill PM you about that one on your Peter account.
