worst memory , (Jared's POV)
I remember it clearly the time of day and the temperature. There was a cool breeze and the sun was setting, making a dami shaddow appear over the grass lands. I saw her eyes those sad lonely, scared, and worry fille eyes; the ones that made me want to do a dance or anything just to see them smile again.
"I need to go save her Jared, save Sharron" she told me her voice flat, showing no emotion. I could tell she was trying to stay strong, "I need to go by myself" my stomach gave a little jolt as she said this.
"Mel.. Melanie, I can come with" I took her hand in mine, both of which were shaking, "I don't want you to be alone, who knows what would happel. What could happen" I looked at her trying to read her.
"No you need to stay here and take care of Jamie, take care of him Jared.." she paused, "if something happens to me..." tears started to roll down her soft face. I reached to whipe them away, but she turned away, "just make sure he grows up to be a great guy just like you" she attempted to smile and looked at me, "Sharron, if she is still herself. Would be scared if she saw me, you, and Jamie go. So it's best that I do it. ok?" she squeezed my hand.
best memory , (Jared's POV)
I sat there staring at the person that looked like Melanie for about an hour. My fist was clenched tight trying to hold back my fear, saddness, dissapointment, and confusion. It looked frightened, "I'm not going to hurt you" I said in a low husky voice. She just stared at me curled up in the corner of the tiny cave. I attempted to move closer to it, but it shuddered in fear, "I promise I wont" I said once more, "I just have one question for you will you answer it for me?"
What once was a strong noble body was now fragile like a china doll. it nodded it's head slowly, "yes" it's voice was small.
"Jeb and Jamie..." I paused and moved closer to it, "said that Mel was still inside there. I find it hard to believe this, but I'm thinking I might as well ask. Even though you could be a seeker. Is Mel still inside you? Is she alive" I grabbed it's face, "tell me" it just looked at me with big eyes. I dropped her face and scowled at the ground, "I need to know...." I let out a single tear and in seconds without thinking this plan out I kissed it. I placed my hard lips on her soft angelic ones, I knew if Mel was in there she wouldn't let me do this. I was kissing it for a while when it started punching me. That's when I knew that my Mel, my wonderful, beautiful, tallented Mel was still in there.
overall personality , He is a very charming guy and loves to smile. Despite his rough exterior he is a very loving person. He loves to make people laugh and hates to see them cry. He has to stay strong and be serious to protect those around him. He normally takes on jobs that he can't handle, but wants to do them to help out. He enjoys going on raids, because it's his only time to himself and when he gets to be free.

overall history , Jared was born in a norma sized family with his Father James who worked for a law firm and his mother Jessica was a stay at home mom; he also had an older brother named Jeremy who he rarely got along with. He spent a lot of time with his friends and Jeremy with his, it was a mutual decisions.
Everytime his family got a chance they would travel to this excluded Cabin his father and Jeremy built. Jared was to young to help out, but enjoyed the place a lot. His father called it their paradise, somewhere the family could go and not be bothered. This was before it happened, the aliens. One by one starting with his brother the Aliens took over his family members, but Jared managed to escape. He was turning 18 when the last of his family members disapeared completely.
Jared soon started to learn the rules of survival: 1. stay on the move 2. trust no one 3. Stealing is only bad if you steal from a human, but from an Alien it's alright. After at least a year he started to become lonely, he wanted to give up.
He was out on one of his raids, when he saw her. He looked her in the eyes and didn't see silver, but brown. Beautiful brown young eyes. He followed her wherever she went for a week to see anything different. When she noticed him. He came face to face with Melanie. Ever since that kiss, all 3 of them were inseperable. Yes, three, she had a little brother named Jamie.
Jared brought them to the cabin, where they stayed for a few months. They spent their days out running around on the field or staring off at the lake. It was perfect, minus one problem, she was 17. Either way he was happy with his new family.
Melanie soon disapeared after leaving to go find her cousin Sharron. Jared had the responsibility to look after Jame. They found Uncle Jeb's community in the dessert, and ever since then he worked and helped out with the raids.

overall appearance , whenever he smiles he has a crease in his eye, which is Mel's favorite thing about Jared. He has a strong build to him and is muscular, from working hard. He has a birth mark on his ankle shaped like leaf. His eyes are a beautiful greyish blue eyes. His hair isn't short and isn't uberly long either.
