Most of them are just easy little things, but they can easily confuse someone who's visiting the site. so please take a look if you have any questions about characters, the plot, etc. WHAT TIME IS THE RP SET IN? BOUND's timeline begins four years before the start of the pirates of the caribbean trilogy. That means Jack has not met Will, Elizabeth is still the governor's daughter, and Barbossa is still cursed and has the Black Pearl. Stuff like that. :] CAN ANYONE JOIN BARBOSSA OR DAVY JONES' CREW? Yes. Anyone can join the undead crews of either, even original characters. But, I would like to put a restriction on joining the crew of Davy Jones until we actually get one. CAN THERE BE FEMALE PIRATES? Of course there can! Some of the best pirates in history were women. But keep in mind just because pirates can be female doesn't mean that we don't want an even amount of male pirates as well. CAN MY CHARACTER BE RELATED TO ONE OF THE CANONS? Yes, you character may be related to any of the canons. But please keep a limit on it. Jack and Barbossa probably don't have much of families. But you can still be related to anyone you want in some way. Just make sure everything works out. CAN MY CHARACTER HAVE A LOVE RELATIONSHIP WITH THE CANONS? Normally I would say no, because most of the relationships in PotC ARE canon, but as long as it makes sense, and is in character, sure. And most of all, make sure that the player of the canon agrees. CAN MY CHARACTER HAVE THEIR OWN BOAT? Absoloutely. If you are a pirate captain and would like your own ship as a roleplayable board, PM me and I will set one up for you. All I need is the name and description. WHAT GROUPS CAN MY CHARACTER BE IN? You have several choices for which membergroup your character will be in. There is Pirate Lord (strictly canon), Pirate Captain, Pirate, EITC, British Royal Navy, Privateer, Commoner, Politician, and Undead. And of course, the Shunned/Banned group, but I really don't think you want to be in that one. WHAT EXACTLY IS A PRIVATEER? A privateer is an ex-pirate, who works for the law and can pillage under a warrant only. Some pirates, when captured, will resort to becoming Privateers rather than hanging in the gallows. It's a smart choice, and Privateers are paid officials, but if they are caught committing piracy without the okay of the navy or EITC, they will be put to death. Their lives are very restricted on the seas. CAN THERE BE CROSSDRESSERS? SUBMITTED BY -- DUCKY Yes, but only female-dressing-as-male. (because really, what man would WANT to go around saying he was a woman during this time period?) Women may dress as men to run their own ships, get their own crew, get jobs, join the army, etc. However in civilized society, such as Port Royal, they can be punnished if they are discovered. This mainly means that they can be thrown in jail. On the high seas, who knows what the consequences will be.
