THE PILLBOX
Left over from World War I, this bunker has turned from a firing station to a local hangout spot. The decrepit, concrete building is now a favorite place to relax with friends, despite its ominous appearance. Those who have lived in Colchester long enough know of the appropriate rocks to remove to get into the pillbox, but that secret is rarely shared with foreigners.
