MANHATTEN, NEW YORK CITY In 2007, things seem normal. People walk the streets, roaming the earth. They control everything in the city. From the streets, to the skyscrapers, to business and even to the empire state building, they control it all. The fact is, people have always been dominent, and they think that they always will be. Greed has taken over the American society, especially in cities such as Manhatten or Los Angeles or even Chicago. People knock each other down to get higher up in this crazy world, and they will pursue their dreams, even if it means stabbing somebody else in the back. Technology is increasing everywhere. The governmentis hiding more than we think from us, and only today are those new creations springing up. They look just like us, and they blend in easier than we would originally than we think, but they stand among us, these new creations and inventions. They look like us, and they act like us, but they could do so much more than we could ever imagine. It's time for them to appear, and as the two sides clash, it's like the world will take on a whole battle. This isn't just any old war. This war isn't just about the city of Manhatten. This city goes on behind the backs of humans, and as both sides recruit, human awareness rises and more and more people begin to see what odd things are going on around them, on their very own front porch.
What new creations you ask? Let's start with the first group. Angels. No, these aren't the "holy christ" kind of things you may tend to expect, but they look just like everybody had described them in the bible. They even tend to look innocent, but that isn't always the case. The five original angels were taken at birth and given avian DNA. They would grow wings, and the scientists raised them, teaching them how to fly and other things. It was only five years ago that the original five broke free from the labs, escaping all the way from Washington, the state, and flying all the way across the country with the unflagging desire to reach Manhatten, one of the farthest places away from the scientists that they hated so. Once in Manhatten, they realized that if they wanted to survive, they would need more people with them to help them. With this idea on their minds, they all came up with the idea of the Angel's Kiss. With one short kiss, somebody could be transformed, and they tried it. It was a somewhat painful process for the one who was kissed. It took a few days for them to fully transform, and in those few days, wings of a wing span proportionate to there height would grow out of their back. No matter how painful it was, the flying and the wind in their faces enjoyable. They lived happily at the Villa Serena, near the Hamptons, only coming into the city as they pleased, that is, until they discovered their enemies.
Another group of scientific inventions has taken their side of the city. Two men were once seized by scientists and taken to labs against their will. The scientists unknowningly exposed the two to a chemical which had been spilled by a new employee in the labs, and over the next few days, the men noticed increasing changes in themselves. They grew extremely pale, and they were weak. They were growing fangs. The scientists didn't notice, but they mistook them for being deceased, and the scientists tossed them out into a back alley unaware that the two were still alive, just in a different form. At first, the two men tried being good vampires, you know, fighting crime around the city and whatnot, but the vigilante scene wasn't all that fitting for the two, and so, they started turning people. They would bite them, just like in those old movies. These vampires were different from move vampires like dracula, however. They could not be killed by holy water or be repelled by crosses. The garlic really only affected the newly turned, and these powerful beings were slowly but surely growing, taking up quite a bit of Manhatten's population. They could easily keep themselves hidden. They blended in easily in crowds of human beings, for these new vampires were able to retract their own fangs. As they met the angels, a fight broke out, and it was war.
Now, the two sides rage in battle for dominance. They're trying to turn as many people as they can without nessecarily causing an uproar. They live on different sides of the state, but both remain in groups. They try not to cause any tension in public places and keep themselves underwraps, but some are reckless, and other fights are unavoidable. As the humans begin to take notice in what is going on around them, vampire and angel hunters spring up. Others support either side. Some dismiss the thought that they are there at all, and some have heard rumors but won't rest until they've gotten all of their evidence to prove that vampires and angels really do exist. Some people don't understand, and others understand too well. Chaos ensues, but will one group prevail or will they both fall before the battle begins?
