Making his way to the Library Jesse scanned the building, admiring the design of the building was something of a tradition for Jesse; this past year had gone rather quickly though his time spent in the depths of the library hadn’t. True, Chasing Moonlight was a good shop for Wiccan material but it tended to be rather fluffy at times, unless you got deep enough in the back. The library however had a lot more variety in its subjects, plus picking Katherine’s mind was always fun.

Pushing the doors open he stepped into the library, it was unusually stuffy, which was strange as the air conditioning normally filtered that out. Moving in further he immediately made his way to his favourite section. The one listed as “Occult”. Running his hand through his hair, messing it up slightly, he glanced at Katherine behind the desk flashing a smile in her direction. He didn’t stop to chat; there was something he needed to check out.

Climbing the stairs to the second level he took a deep breath before continuing along the corridor. The smell from the old books was amazing and it was one thing Jesse loved was how each book seemed to have a history about it; the people who read it, who wrote it, the places it had been in the world.

Turning the corner he came to his section, well not his but one he had so frequently visited he managed to call it a place of sanctuary for him. Reaching for a book on the shelf, not looking at the title on purpose he let the decision, of the book he was to read, be decided by fate. Sliding into the sofa he cracked the book open and began to read.

Hmm, teleportation magic, interesting! He thought to himself as he read on.

Up in the darkest corner of the occult section of the Stone City Public Library was one Damien Mc Evoy. Due to the nature of the positioning of the occult section being at towards the back of the second floor it was one of the best places for not getting disturbed by others, or at least that was what Damien thought at any rate. The desk which he was sitting at was made of a light brown wood, it was large and it was more than likely designed for two people to make use of. However Damien had made sure there would be none of that and instead had numerous books spread out over the entire desk. Nearly all of them dealing with different areas, some of them dealt with information about the different areas of magic’s while others were simply about history, sciences you know normal school stuff. At present he was currently reading over a book which dealt with different gods that the ancient peoples used to worship who were in fact the deities who power was channelled when casting spells of a certain nature. He was particularly interested in the god Osiris a god revered by the ancient Egyptians and known for having the power to create life for some, or more importantly the ability to judge the dead and fully conquer it. When thinking about it in this context it is hardly surprising that any spells involving the dead whether it is communicating with them or the more volatile resurrection would involve him.

At present the occupant of the desk looked like something of a mess to be honest. His hair was dishevelled and he had small rings around his eyes this along with the expression on his face meant that he almost screamed that he had gotten little to no sleep the previous night. With a pair of baggy black trousers and a plain white t-shirt his clothing certainly didn’t do much to improve the quality of his appearance either. Though he was in his own round about way something of a vain fellow he had reasoned to himself that he was here to learn not to worry about self grooming. Besides it was a library, how many fucking prospects were you really going to meet in such a place anyways? Note how he thought of it as fucking prospects rather than dating ones. Ah yes he was your typical commitment phobe his idea of a good night was to wine and dine them, go to a bedroom whether it be his or theirs and have a good fuck and forget about them the next day. No fuss and most importantly of all no mess. Looking up from the page that he had been reading the Wicca let out a small sigh. He loved magic and reading about it, he really did, but why did the authors insist on having to word things in such a way that even one with a level of intelligence such as his own had to spend up to a minute translating what was being said into common English.

“Really what’s with the writing problems of these authors haven’t any of them heard of words that come from later than the eighteen century?” His words were spoken gently and mumbled and in such a way that only those in the immediate area could have heard him. For anyone listening it would probably be hard to tell what the cause of his complaint was. It could simply be that he was too stupid to understand what was being said (ha no chance), or that he was just tired and irritable (more likely) or that he was just an irritable person all together ah that was it. Really for any casual observer it would have been pretty hard to guess which of the three it was. With a sigh once more to himself he turned his attention back in the direction of the book. Ah here was the section that he had been looking for the one that discussed Osiris in decent detail. From the few paragraphs that he had read it was apparent that the writer himself felt something akin to worship for the Egyptian god of the dead. Huge emphasis was placed on his abilities and what influence invoking him for spells could have on spells on the question. While most of the others were simply about them, what spells they could be used for and what their weaknesses were. Well someone certainly seems to have a healthy respect for the dead and would that qualify as a morbid one? Hmm Yep in case you couldn’t tell Damien had a habit of mumbling or thinking random things to himself.

It was then that Jesse stepped into the room glancing up at the other as he went to pick a book seemingly at random he looked at the other for several seconds as he settled down on the couch of the section. Finally managing to turn away from the other after a few seconds. He began to mentally scold himself he didn’t usually bother with paying attention to other people in the library preferring to get on with his studies. However a wave of magic went off the other like he had never sensed before and that left him instantly intrigued. He wanted to start a conversation with the other and find out more about him. The only problem was how did he do that without seeming like the biggest weirdo you could ever hope to meet or as though he was hitting on him. Though admittedly the other wasn’t an eyesore, so even if he did think that and responded. Well he could think of a number of ways they could have fun. Most of which involved him and the other naked. Now he just had to figure out how to approach the other, or better yet wait for him to approach him.

Katherine was sitting at her desk as she sawn Jesse Proctor step into the library. The one thing that Katherine knew, was the regular people who came into the library. And Jesse was one of them, seeing him flash a smile to her. Thats when she smiled back seeing him go to the second level. She then got up herself and grabbed a cart that was filled with books about The South and its History in New Orleans.

She walked to the back where the History section was. Placing the cart off to the side. Katherine walked over to a corner where she grabbed a ladder and placed it where she needed it to be. Some of the books Katherine had to be careful with. They had old documents and blue prints of the Plantations. The one thing that Katherine loved about the south, was it's history with the slaves and the plantations. And how the people back then were so different.

After finishing putting the books down. Katherine put the ladder away and started to walk around to see if anyone needed help finding anything. Thats when she walked to the stairs and went to the second level seeing Jesse and Damien but didn't disturb them as she kept on walking.
