a dark, dank common room deep within the dungeons. the ceiling has an enchanted, glass dome that gives a full view of the lake and its residents.

Hufflepuff Common Room
located directly across from the entrance to the kitchens, this common room is very warm and welcoming. the rooms, corridors, and doors are all rounded like a burrow of a badger, and are made of bare earth. the common room is located under the forbidden forest.

to enter, one must answer a riddle. the entrance leads directly into a tower, the entire common room is rounded and ever reaching into the skies.

Black Lake
a huge lake that contains a number of mercreatures, a giant squid, and many other unsavory things. it's across here that first years take their first trip into hogwarts castle, and what helps guard hogwarts on its southern side.

Quidditch Pitch
where flying lessons for first years, quidditch practice, and quidditch matches are held. it is a large pitch with very large stadium towers surrounding it for students to watch all the action of the matches.

Forbidden Forest
a forest that surrounds the eastern and north eastern parts of hogwarts grounds. it is forbidden for any and all students unless under the supervision of an adult to enter. there are a great number of magical creatures and beast within the trees, many pose a danger to any who enter.

a small wizarding community just north of hogwarts, just over the river and through the forest. here, students that have been given permission, may relax, buy new supplies, and enjoy themselves on scheduled days.

a tight, long alley of magical shops, located behind a wall in the back of the leaky cauldron. here, students are expected to buy their supplies before the start of term. it is also a place any and all respectable witch or wizard goes to buy things they need.
