Name: Isis Concord
House: Hufflepuff
Position: Seeker
Sample: Isis pulled her hair back into a ponytail, vaguely listening as the captain went over the game plan. As far as Seeker went, she didn't have a game plan. Wherever the Snitch went, she followed, that was how it worked. Of course, she paid attention to where everyone should be so she could try and avoid them, but other than that, she was just focusing her mind on her training. Every week, practice or no, she went out to the pitch, building herself up to be better, faster, pushing herself to her limits and beyond so she could be the best she could. When the pep talk was over, Isis grabbed her broom and headed out onto the pitch. The cheers from the students in the stands psyched her up even more. She could see the yellow flags being waved as the Hufflepuff supporters cheered them on. A smirk fell on her face and she straddled her broom, pushing herself up until she was suspended in air, high above everyone else and just across the way from the other team's Seeker. The Snitch circled her head a couple of times, then did the same to the other, then took off. Her eyes stayed on it, not wanting to lose it, and when the whistle blew, all that was on her mind was getting it.

Name: Emett Nelson
House: Gryffindor
Position: Chaser & Captain
Sample: Today was just another game, just like so many before, but this had more meaning to it, this was the chance to make it into the finals for the Cup, and Emett wanted it. He wasn't a fanatic sportsman, he didn't go to bed dreaming about getting this prize, but he did think about it, yearn for it, and being a chaser, he was a very important part of the team, he was a necessity if you please. He was in the locker room, doing his best to get pumped up, jumping up and down once, stretching his arms out, wanting them nice and loose so he could throw hard and far. He rolled his shoulders as he grabbed his broom and headed out onto the Pitch. The entire school was there pretty much and Emett scanned the crowd, hoping to see someone he knew, he spotted Abby sitting with Maximus, both of them grinning and waving down at him as he took off on his broom and too his position in the air behind Naveen. "Dear god, Naveen, protect my ass with all you got." He almost cried, but he got himself together before the whistle was blown. Just like how his mother had taught him, he darted off for the Quaffle, moving so fast the person that had gone for it retracted their hand, Emett's foot making contact with it, sending it up into the air, he caught it and flew as fast as he could towards the Slytherin goal. To his left, a bludger came heading in, speeding towards him like a truck and Emett's fast reflexes reacted, sending him spinning outwards and out of harms way, but towards the ground. He managed to pull himself up, getting himself on a straight course for the Slytherin goal, speeding like a bullet up and around other players. Not missing a beat, Emett fly up to the goal and threw the Quaffle in with pin point accuracy, scoring the first goal for Gryffindor. Quickly, Emett spun around and headed back to the middle of the field, his hand swirling around in a circle around his head, calling in the other players in. He made some hand signals, giving quick, non-verbal orders to his teammates and when the whistle was blown once more for another start, he darted off, shouting a few orders here and there, flying as fast as he could to get to the quaffle first.

Name: Lucy Elliott
House: Ravenclaw
Position: Seeker
Sample: Lucy Elliott was used to being seen as a lightweight. Five-foot-three and pixylike with almost white-blonde hair and an adorable look, and especially being the only girl of six siblings, people sometimes just automatically assumed she needed the protection. Usually this could get on her nerves a little, but when it came to quidditch, and playing the seeker on the Ravenclaw team, she used it to her advantage. Oh it wasn't that she was completely exempt from any attacks from bludgers. In fact, the moment she got cocky enough to think so she saw a black ball speeding her way and barely ducked out of the way, clenching her broom with her hands and legs to keep balance. It was a long fall after all and not one Lucy particularly wanted to test. There was no doubt she had to keep on her toes, but usually, she got it a little easier than some of the other seekers, even if for no other reason than that the opponents didn't think the cute little blonde was going to be much of a threat. It didn't insult her much, maybe they should have just paid attention to some of the games. She wasn't a flawless quidditch player, she had her share of losses, and she definitely wasn't strong, but Lucy was fast. And stealthy. Once she saw a sliver of gold feet beneath her she shot a glance at the other seeker to make sure they weren't looking and nodded at one of the beaters to try to whack something in their direction to distract them. So she was a little devious in quidditch, but she didn't mean to actually hit them, just distract their focus while she swooped down after the snitch. She just couldn't give that specific of instructions from that little nod of her head and hoped they understood. Meanwhile she didn't look back just sped forward, that sliver of gold now becoming more definable. She inched forward on her broom until she was almost on the edge and leaned forward holding her arm back until the last minute before shooting it out and clasping tight around the little fluttering ball. Her other hand gripped tightly to the edge of her broom as she realized she might have leaned a little too fiercely and shot forward a bit further than she was comfortable with once it was caught. But she quickly righted herself and flew back up, hand and snitch raised to show the win for Ravenclaw.

Name: Kellen Elliott
House: Gryffindor
Position: Beater
Sample: The loud crack as Kellen's bat connected with the speeding bludger resounded in his ears, but he would have known it anyway by the pressure it pushed back onto his palm. He watched it fly towards a Slytherin beater that had been about to direct a bludger of his own at Kiera and smirked as he watched it throw them off balance as they swerved to miss it, throwing off their aim as well. He had the backs of everyone on the team about equally, that was his job, playing one of the most protective roles in the game, but Kiera's just a little moreso than anyone besides his brother as she was his best friend. He nodded at her before looking back in the direction he was, but the distraction had been long enough. The beater he had thrown off had offered a retaliation, and it was headed straight for Kellen's head. There wasn't enough time to bat it back. He ducked in such a close call he could actually feel it brush just above his head. And in some strange sense, the way it got his adrenaline pumping, just made the game all that much better. Quidditch was a rough sport, and it wasn't quite as fun without a little risk. He flew away from the spot, away from the center of the field and nearer the right side as he spotted another bludger in that direction...and the other Slytherin beater with an aim at their seeker.

Name: Emmett Riordan
House: Gryffindor
Position: Keeper
Sample: It was funny how Emmett got the position of keeper He had tried out for tackle and shoot chaser position but halfway through the tryout was asked to switch positions and play keeper. He hadn't wanted to, had wanted something a little more active, but it turned out he was pretty good at it, which made it a little more enjoyable. He would still rather be racing up and down the field but facing off with his girlfriend in scrimmages was always fun. And he had gotten good enough to try little show-off moves that made staying in basically the same place a little more entertaining. Like swinging his broom around and hitting the quaffle back with the butt of it or dipping down beneath it and hitting upward or things like that. They could annoy his teammates a little, but Emmett could get restless. As he waited for one of the Slytherins to try it, he flew from hoop to hoop, circling around even, bored and ready for some kind of action. Finally, it came....just as he had been circling behind the hoops. If he missed this one because he had been goofing off, his team would kill him, not that he was naturally much of a team player, far too independent for that. But he knew Kiera would give him hell about it, too, and besides that he didn't like to lose. Thankfully he was right between the left and middle hoop and slipped through the cracks as quickly as he could. His hands reached out for the quaffle as it was mere inches from the hoop. They did not catch it, but managed to throw it off balance and it bounced off the gold of the hoop rather than flying in. He let out a sigh of relief. It was enough. But he caught the look from Kellen, one of the beaters, and felt sure his captain would reprimand him for getting cocky, and he would be right. Best to just play safe for now.

Sample: Kai bounced on the balls of her feet as she listened to the captain go over the game play. Today was the final game of the year against Ravenclaw and they were just a Snitch away from winning the House Cup. Her long blonde hair swayed back and forth in its ponytail as she moved. She was unable to keep herself still, knowing that they would be out on the pitch in just a few minutes, and she was psyched. Putting her hand in the middle of the encircled team on top of everyone else's, she shouted with the rest of the team before heading out onto the pitch. Throwing a leg over her broom, she pushed off from the ground and soared high into the air. She could hear the cheers from the rest of the students in the stands all around her. Colors of red and gold, and blue and silver danced all around her. But even with all that, she kept her focus on the Quaffle. The shrill sound of the whistle sounded and Kai was in motion, diving down, reaching her arm out and gripping the Quaffle, tucking it close to her once she had it in hand. Without a second's hesitation, she took off, her focus now on the Ravenclaw Keeper and the set of hoops she needed to get to. She narrowed her eyes, trying to judge where the Keeper was going to go. She just needed that one signal... there it was. The Keeper shifted to the left, so she took her opening and hurled the Quaffle to the right. A cheer from the Gryffindor side ripped through the air as Kai scored the first points of the game.
