Instant Messenger
Lakeside Valley allows internet access to all clients, as well as wireless for those clients with laptop computers. Clients are encouraged to use instant messenger, at their own discretion. A Lakeside Valley buddy list is kept for posterity's sake, and to monitor client conversations.

Livejournal
Another benefit of internet access is Livejournal. Many clients choose to keep livejournals to keep in contact with acquaintences outside of Lakeside, or to express their emotions in written form. There is a Lakeside Valley community (lsv_comm), to which all clients are automatically subscribed.

Cabin Engracia
This cabin, situated on the treeless west shore of the lake, is a lovely abode that homes all clients with surnames G - M. It is the closest cabin to the main offices, and the lake dock is almost directly in front of it. Inside is a spacious living area, the cabin kitchens, and a bathroom.

Cabin Irving
Though one of the smallest of the Lakeside cabins, Cabin Irving is the most well-equipped, thanks to the money left for the center by the late co-founder Paul Lanham. For clients with last names beginning with N - R, it contains functional and stylish bathrooms, a kitchen, and commons; it is situated on the hill between the garden and forest, giving one a breathtaking view of the lake and trees.

Cabin Burkhart
The second client cabin, Cabin Burkhart, is located in the denser forest of the east shore of the lake. It is farther from the main offices and the dock, though there is a craggy outcrop where clients are permitted to sit and dangle their feet into the lake below. This cabin houses clients with surnames T - Z. There is a large and comfortable cabin den, cabin restrooms, and an accomadating refectory.

Foyer & Lobby
This is where one might wait to be escorted to their cabin, or where they await the head doctor after 'disrupting' their treatment. It's like being in the principal's office.

Staff Offices
One-on-one counseling sessions, examinations, etc. are held within these offices. Each staff member has one of their own, from counselors to therapists to doctors.

Activity Room
The "game/day room." Large and spacious, it contains various tables for activities such as cards, ping-pong, and the board-game of the day; it also has a large plasma-screen TV, sofas and chairs, plush carpeting, a fireplace for those bitter winters, and two picture windows with a gorgeous view of the lake and forests.

Library & Study Room
The walls are lined floor-to-ceiling with large, bulging bookcases, which may be intimidating to weaker minds. It is typically utilized by clients who are continuing their academic pursuits while in rehab, so there are many long tables with chairs and laptops for those who want to do some research (of course, the laptops are monitored); however, there are also beanbags, cushions, and plush couches and armchairs so you can curl up with a good book or take a quick nap.

Group Therapy Room
A huge, comfortable loft-like room decorated in soothing tones of celery green and dove grey. The far wall from the door is made entirely of glass, looking over the serene landscape. As the name suggests, group therapy sessions will take place here, but it is open to any patients who waltz in.

Mess Hall
Don't be fooled by the implications of the name; the food served in the mess hall is of the finest quality and served in abundance. The kitchens are always open, so if you miss a meal you can always come in to soothe your aching belly... though the cooks are informed of what should and should not be served to each patient.

Commons
Each cabin contains a common/living area, but these are where all clients and even staff members can mingle. Clients can bring food and drinks out of the cafeteria and use their phones, laptops, and other electronic devices without having to search for good service or plugs, as its all wireless and free of static. It's often crowded, but fun.

The Annex
Where patients are sent when they misbehave. It's actually very easy to be ordered to the Annex, as some nurses will send you there for your iPod being on too loud. The punishments depend on the severity of your offense; usually you'll just have to wash dishes or clean the living area, but sometimes you'll have to stay and do what can be likened to high school detention: copying from the dictionary or the rule book.

Hospital Wing
Hopefully it's nothing serious, but if you get injured or have some sort of attack, you'll be whisked off to the clinic. But don't try and get out of your scheduled counseling session for something puny like a stomach-ache; the nurses are utter bitches, and greatly frown upon fake or unimportant illnesses.

Backyard
Also known as the patio. Feel free to sunbathe or just hang out on the wooden patio deck that borders the entire back side of the building (where clients usually go to smoke) and stretches down to the shore. Chairs, benches, tables, and umbrellas are spaced out on the lawn closer to the building.

Garden
A large expanse of green land to the side of the facility. Includes a hedge maze with a fountain in the center, rows and rows of various flowers, and the gardener's shed.

Courts
A huge expanse of off-set land, free of trees, containing the basketball courts, soccer fields, and lined with a strip of track. It's a perfect spot for sunbathing, so, unfortunately, sometimes the soccer players can't continue their games as they're too busy oggling the ladies and their bikinis.

Stable & Barn
Of course - not elite rehabilitation facility would be complete without its equestrian section. Tame horses for riding and a large bar, containing hay, farming supplies, and a nice make-out spot in the loft.

Antebelle Wood
A dense forest that surrounds the Lakeside grounds. The Antebelle wood creeps onto the grounds by the Burkhart Cabin, but is relatively sparse on the western side of the property. In the thicker parts of the forest, there are small enclaves, most notably a rocky outcropping to the far east called The Dead Woman.

The Lake
As Lakeside Valley's namesake, one would expect a very beautiful lake -- and it doesn't disappoint. Stretching 20 mile long with a timbered shoreline and clear blue water, it's a prominent lake that is perfect for swimming, jogging, or just staring at.

Café Pop
This small, cute American-style café offers coffee, soft drinks, smoothies, malts, and sandwiches. It's run by a friendly old man known as Pop, who happens to be an alumnus of Lakeside - though not a successful one, as he's known to sell some illegal contraband to the Lakesiders.

Club Helios
The most popular social club in the area and always a scene for drama and grinding. It has three stories. The first two are dance floors, each with a bar (that doesn't serve alcohol to minors), and the third floor is a lounge. However, it has very tight security and is heavily monitored, so there's not much room for alcohol consumption, sex, or drugs.

Waiting to Exhale
Just because you're in rehab doesn't mean you're allowed to look like a hobo! This salon & spa - which treats its customers to haircuts, waxing appointments, massages, and other such pursuits - is always packed during Lakeside's city excursions, and its wise to book two trips in advance.

Antebelle General Hospital
In the event that the nurses and doctors in the center's hospital wing can't offer the proper services, you'll be taken to the state hospital. Hopefully no one will be seen here, especially for the hospital's amazing detox clinic!
