the rules

1. Please read all of the rules and important announcements before posting. I really don't like taking on the task of deleting posts people have worked on [hard or not] because they thought they didn't need to know the rules or that they would learn them as they went along.

2. R e s p e c t. Learn it, know it, use it. It's just flat out not nice when people bash other people. Your first offense will earn you a warning, but after that things could get ugly.

3. Let's keep things somewhat, erm, thoughtful on the board, shall we? I know, this technically is deemed an Unrated board, and yes, that does mean anything and everything goes, but some things just should be kept quiet. Not everyone wants to read how your character banged another character, nor does anyone want to read the steady torture of a character in explicit detail. If for some reason you're going to be doing something along to or close to those lines, do use a favor and PM an admin so they can change the topic description to state it as an R rated topic.

6. Stay active! If you make a character and get all into the plot with other characters and then suddenly go missing off the face of wherever, well, it kind of puts a hole into the plot. I'm not saying you need to be in ten threads at the same time, but it would be nice to be in one after another after another, you know? We understand if you have to leave for a trip or something, we do have lives outside our computer, but don't just leave without a word. That just sucks.

7. Do not make more characters than you can handle, please. If you want to have five characters, good for you, just be able to keep up with them all. Don't make those five characters and then only ever role play on one of them. There is a three character limit- unless you ask the admin for permission to make more. If we see that you are unable to keep up with your characters, we'll ask you to refrain from making me, or that you take one out until you're able to use them. But, if you're doing a fine job of keeping up, we'll let you make as many as you can handle.

8. Never ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever EVER spam. If I don't kill you, my ninja friend shall. Trust me, you don't wanna meet that ninja. He's scary, even to me.

9. There's a reason only some people are mods and admins, and others are not. So, if you're not an admin or mod, don't act like it.

10. There is, in fact, the rule that NOTHING from this site can be taken, stolen, copied, whatever you wanna call it. In case you seem to be daft and cannot understand that, simply read the last portion of the sidebar, in the CREDITS section. We will know if you take anything and try to pawn it off as your own.

11. If you see a spelling error on the board, for the love of all that you hold dear tell one of the admins so that it can be fixed. Because everybody makes stupid spelling mistakes.

role p l a y i n g rules

1. Should you take on a canon character, please make sure to stay in canon. If one of their traits is listed as shy and quiet, they're not likely to start dancing and singing in the middle of the street when tons of people are around.

2. There is no such thing as a one line post on UW. Average posts should be a minimum of two decent paragraphs. Also, we know typos happen, but if I see you talking like this 'liKe HOMG NO way!!!!1!' that ninja friend of mine will kill you. Slowly and painfully.

3. When you register, first and last names are the general registration. You may use middle names if you wish, but remember there's a thirty two character limit in the name. Please register your names are all lower cases, like, aiden casey emery. First and last names are required, again, middle is optional.

5. Please don't post in colors that blend in with the board. Its annoying to have to highlight to read something. Also, when posting, please use quotation marks for speaking, not asterics. Also, do not stretch the board with your posting. If you post something all conjouined for too long, the board will stretch. Nobody is going to be okay with you putting fifty two 'AAAAAA' all in a row. Its aggravating. We should not have to scroll to the side to read what you have put nor should we have to scroll down really far because your image in your signature is huge.

6. UW's post format is third person. 'Nuff said.

7. Ah, another new rule installed. No reserving of posts. Most cases the reserver fails to come up with the post and makes the topic starter very bored. Plus, it's rude to other memebers of the board. The topic started may reserve the post for certain people, i.e. John(ic) is reserving the post for only bob(ic) and sally(ic). If its reserved, do not post unless you ask. If John[my underwear are striped] starts a post, you may reserve the post after that, but only for twenty four hours. Please do not stop what could have been a good post because you never get around to posting.

8. Do not, and I repeat, DO NOT post an uncompleted application up. There is a thing called your notes, or a Word document. Use it. If an unfinished application is put up, it will be immediately deleted.

9. There is a three strikes policy on applications on UW. If the admins see something we want fixed and we tell you, we expect it to be fixed. If you do not fix it three times, we will be deleting your application. Please listen to us, we want your application to be a good example of your writing ability.

10. No Unwanted will be randomly escaping from the clutches of the government unless you have PMed an admin with a special plot request and have good reason. Okay, your character is extremely clever and knows how to get around things, just ask us, and we'll probably say yes, but if there are too many of these, we're going to have to start saying no.

11. Face claims can only be done after your application has been accepted. You are required to post in the face claim immediately after being accepted, but there is an exception to this: if you're character has no one that looks like them, well, then we understand. Even if you use a deviantart person or something, that's fine, just give the username for their name. The reason why is rather simple; if someone else posts an application and gets accepted and then takes your face in the face claim, even if you've been on the board longer than them, sadly they'll get to keep the face and you'll be asked to find a new one.

12. Avatars are required, but signatures are optional, though highly encouraged. Your avatar should be a picture of your character, or somehow related to your character. A picture of a dancing muffin or the guy smashing his bloody fingers onto the keyboard does not count.

c - b o x rules

1. No spam. It's a no brainer.

2. The c-box is an anti-drama zone. Keep that in mind.

3. I don't want to see any massive overloading posting in the c-box. It's not a spam section, it's a place to chat.

4. In the c-box, please let us know who you are by registering with something along the lines of 'your nickname or name//character name//2nd character name etc.'

5. We're not grammar nazis, but don't be talking liek diz, okayes? Use normal words and punctuation please.

5.5. Next point- limit the punctuation marks. One exclamation point or question mark will do it and get the point across easily.

6. Lastly, have fun!
