I keep meaning to get around to reading Grand Blue Door. It looks interesting. Is it? (Well it must be, seeing as it's marked in your favorites...)

To tell the truth: I like that comic - but I did not check it out for - I think - the last half year. That is because that page had (has?) issues with FireFox (it seems to work right now) and was not updated regularly. But the art is great and the story also (at least in my opinion tongue.gif)

I have it still listed because of that smile.gif

[Edit:] Just checked it out again - last update was in January [/Edit:]

Wow.... That's a lot of comics tongue.gif

I really only read this, 8-Bit, and Chasing the Sunset. Oh, and the Naruto Manga, but that's not a webcomic.

I'm such a slacker in that realm, mostly 'cause I'm lazy, and don't seem to have enough time to actively or passively read 4 webcomics, yet alone a dozen tongue.gif

Yeah it is time consuming. (And that are not all the comics I read ...)

But I am glad I have FireFox so I open all links in tabs at once and then read one after the other until I am finished - that speeds it up a bit

Oh yeah, most time consuming are fora: you spend a lot of time posting and reading other peoples posts and then answering on those etc. tongue.gif But you will see soon for yourself laugh.gif

(But try and see if you like Terinu as Sly does. I can only recommend Terinu to you as a great comic - you have to read it for yourself biggrin.gif)

I read the first chapter/book/big section of Terinu, then felt kinda webcomicked out... so I haven't started again yet. I'd agree that it's good, I'm just too lazy and too drawn away by the time comittment to catch up x_x

Oh, and yeah, I've done the whole being active in a forum thing... it really does take a decent chunk of time, that's if you get into it that is, and meet people you like talking to.

Yeah, that is the danger biggrin.gif of webcomics and of fora *hehe*

But I like them regardless tongue.gif

Of the top of my head, there are roughly two dozen comics I keep rabid track of... Time probably better spent drawing. laugh.gif

Of course, most of them don't update regularly, so I just run through the list and rarely see anything new.

The RRS feed notifier at Online Comics is definitely a time saver, but most of my comics aren't registered with them. rolleyes.gif

Uhm.... I read so many comic (wether on the net or on paper) that I'm not sure I can count them. biggrin.gif
The ones on which I stay more focused are... (putting apart the one from which this forum is born XD )
Corner Alley 13
What would happen if fantasy creatured popped up in every day's modern life? ...Neat and funny happy.gif

Operation: Neko
Interesting plot about wars, genetically modified creatures and bounty hunters, nice coloring and some good pieces of comedy! wink.gif

The B-Movie Comic
A totally hilarious comic from a great web-cartoonist... seriously, he's got some style! tongue.gif

The Order of the Stick
The product of a genious' mind... Joking about all the rules, the dynamics and the people of the fantasy world... biggrin.gif

..and Spell Binder
a cute Shounen-Ai story for Shounen-Ai fans. Sweet and pleasant. smile.gif

....then there should be MANY others that I don't mention for two reasons:
I don't follow them so much;
or they don't update from a really long time.
...well, this is it. happy.gif

I read only a couple few myself... "The Prime of Ambition" (XD), "8-Bit Theater," "Goblins," and "Darken." Out of all of these, "8-Bit Theater" is my favorite, and PoA and "Goblins" tie for second. Sorry, sis.

I read-
The Prime of Ambition
Bunny
Inverloch
Earthsong
Flipside
Dinosaur Comics
Haru-Sari
Chasing the Sunset
Souls Through Darkness
Fade to Black
Digger

There are a few others that I keep meaning to read. Most notably Terinu.

I also have tried to get into reading things like 8-Bit and ...um that other one I suddenly can't remember that I was told to read. Uh.... it was.... oh well. Things people have told me that I need to read that I haven't.

Lesse...

My staples are...
Prime (fresh, very good, sporting an amazingly hot dark-elf gent)
ctrl-alt-del (also very good, despite being several years old)
8-bit (been going steadily downhill for about the past ~400 episodes, only check it because it's quick and I have an obsessive personality unsure.gif )
Dominic Deegan (great stuff up until the most recent story arc, still a 'page turner')
Flintlocke's Guide to Azeroth (the funniest thing out there for WoW fans, period.)

I occasionally check a few others...
VG Cats (no regular updates, humor doesn't quite agree with me sometimes, amazing art, and kitties!)
WTF Comics (updates are rare, but countered with quality artwork, story turning into a "lookit what my cool characters can do!" fest)
Mana Theater (8-bit for the Secret of Mana universe - well-done flash animation, good humor, perhaps two or three updates in the past eight months... ouch)

And these aren't webcomics, but I still visit...
askaninja.com (You got questions, Ninja's got answers ninja.gif . Some of the funniest stuff on the web, and a big supporter of Net Neutrality. You. Go there. Now.)
homestarrunner.com (Once a wonderful site, it's now mostly a new "sbmail" every week, and occasional promotions of new shirts based on whatever they did recently. Still worth the check once every so often.)
milkandcookies.com (A wide variety of... everything. Flash games, home videos, clips from pop TV and Movies, C3PO's vacation photos, 30-foot-tall-mechanical-time-traveling elephant puppets, they have it all.)

And I used to read Nodwick and 9th Elsewhere. Those are both very good. Don't ask me why I stopped. I don't know. I just... I don't know sad.gif

Pardon? "An" amazingly hot dark-elf gent? ...oh right, the other ones haven't been introduced yet. cool.gif

Hum, you seem to have the opposite view of 8-bit than I have. I personally think the first 100-200 were hit and miss and that the "episodes" have been rock solid ever since. Hum. Of course, you may be one of the few people in the world with wit on par with Sir Brian Clevinger... Perhaps you think yourself above him? tongue.gif

Mm...more incentive to read 9th Elsewhere. Do I need more incentive? Obviously yes, as I still haven't gotten around to it.

Since I seem to be running around replying to everything...

No, I wouldn't put myself on par or even above Brian. I mean Sir Clevs.

My complaint is mostly about the characters. There have been flickers of character development here or there, but by and large 700+ episodes haven't made the group any different from its original conception. They pass through various different situations, but Black Mage will hate and want to kill everyone/thing involved (while using obnoxious sexual innuendo if White Mage happens to be present), Fighter will be dumb and make a comment about swords, Thief will betray and/or steal stuff, and Red Mage will use some sort of obscure DnD-esque rule to form a plan to get them out of the situation that almost doesn't work, and yet doesn't quite work either. In the end, they're saved by their opponents being amazingly stupid in an unbelievable way.

I know, it's a humor comic (does that excuse it?), and you can pull up a dozen instances that break the above gross generalization. But I'm still getting a very "Same ol' same ol'" feel. It might be that he's been going at it for several years. Alternately it might be just me. It's an opinion, and there are tens or hundreds of thousands of people that disagree. Maybe even millions. And notice that I -am- still checking it thrice a week. And that there are several other mentions of people reading it on this forum alone.

Oh, and thanks for the spoiler. ohmy.gif Now everyone knows that other dark elves will come into the story. And that they're hotties. cool.gif It's all ruined. You might as well feed the whole group to a dragon and start again, because we see right through this plot. angry.gif
