If a name is underlined, the position is reserved for a canon character that is still open for application!
Announcer - This person will summarize all that has happened at certain points in the game so people don't have to read through it all.
Alternates - If someone has posted in the away messages, this person will fill in for them at the games. They are not required to attend practice unless that character is gone.Gryffindor
Seeker- Harry Potter Keeper- Chaser- Selena Rodriguez Chaser- Chaser- Beater- Sean Allcott Beater- Andrew Kirke

Alternate - Announcer- To sign-up, fill out the form below and post it on THIS thread (by clicking 'reply'). Quidditch positions are first come, first serve. Captains are decided based on both preference and activity rate. If you play multiple characters of the same house, you may apply them for the same Quidditch team, but may not play the same position. The Seeker position is an exception: if one of your characters hold that slot, you can not apply for a Seeker position in another house.
Example: Chaser- Silia Balzac-Strife Chaser- Olivia Ollivander **As they are both Millie's characters, they are not allowed to hold the same position for that team.
Quidditch practices are taken into consideration as well, and those teams who participate in them receive certain incentives during Quidditch matches and possibly even HOUSE POINTS. How the games play out is exactly the same as a legitimate roleplay.
The roles are divided this way: - Chasers-- Handle the quaffle. Every time two chasers post adjacent to one another, they have a chance to score, which would be posted as the said chaser throwing the quaffle at the goal posts.
- Beaters-- Their job is to interrupt this. Between a Chaser's post, they may launch a Bludger, which knocks the quaffle loose and free to pick up. Whichever team's chaser gets to it first steals possession.
- Keeper-- Of course, keeps the goalposts. Be careful, though. A beater who targets the Keeper before a Chaser throws the quaffle means a direct score. Keepers, after every score, throw the quaffle to one of their chasers. This chaser is to be named, and that chaser is the next to post to forward the Quaffle for a goal. Again, Beaters are free to target the chaser once the Keeper has disposed of it.
- Seeker-- A Seeker can only spot the Snitch after five goals have been scored. At that point, a normal chase would ensue. The victor would be the one who is able to out-preform the other, and is generally taken professionally for one to concede and give away a victory. Throughout the chase, however, scores can still be made.
It's taken as a normal roleplay. Activity matters. Whoever has the best cooperation of posting will win the match. Plain and simple. If your Chasers don't cooperate, you don't score five points, and you can't possibly catch the Snitch. If five points are scored, and your Seeker doesn't make chase, it is obvious that you will not be the one to catch it. If your Beaters are not quick to the button, they will give away points and not be able to ensure a Chaser's score for their own team.
A single roleplayer cannot post for two different positions at once. In order to keep the balance, another player from their team must post before they do. So, take that into consideration when forming a team.
Captains have the ability to chuck a player from their team, if they so desire. After all, it's their team. They run it. If you aren't up to their standards, tough luck. Quidditch games will be announced by Captains who feel their team is ready. The first two teams to vouch for a game, get it. No team can play two games back to back, though. You have to change the combination.
The teams who play will have their game points translated to House Points.
Good luck and have fun with it.
