Avatars:
When you have logged on, goto the "My Controls" button at the top right hand side of the forums underneath the ads. This should take you to your control panel.
When in the control panel, there should be a large menu on the left. Under the "Personal Profile" section, click "Edit Avatar Settings".
This should take you to a new page. Here, you have the option of choosing a Pre-installed avatar of your choice via a drop down menu, or you can upload your own avatar by browing through your computer. MAKE SURE IF YOU DO THIS IT ISN'T LARGER THAN 25KB!
You could also link to an offsite avatar. This is more appropriate if your avatar is over 25KB. Simply upload your avatar to a picture hosting service or you can use Aquastar Forum's Image account (account and password is in the other topic) which has already been created. First, make sure your avatar is in JPEG or otherwise it might be really big. Once you upload it to the account there should be a line under it that says "URL" and a long URL will be there. This is the URL for the picture. Copy and paste it to the "Enter a URL to an online avatar image" which should be above the Upload option in your avatar panel. Then, make sure you click the update avatar for it to complete.
Signatures:
Signatures are a sinch with IPB. Go to your "My Controls" button located at the top right hand side of the forums underneath the ads. It should take you to your control panel. From there, press the "Edit Signature Link" in the Personal Profile section on the left.
This should take you to a signature page. There, you can write your signatures etc. However, if you are jealous of people with pictures in their sigs, do not fear, Kai is here!
First, you must upload you sig to a picture hosting site such as Photobucket or Imageshack. Aquastar Forums already has an account in Photobucket (Album name and Password located in the other topic). Upload your sig there (Make sure its JPEG).
Back in the signature page, press the IMG button above the big textbox. An applet will pop up prompting you to type in the URL of your picture, Underneath the picture that you uploaded Photobucket, there should be a line saying "URL". Copy the whole line and paste it into the applet. Press OK and then select "Update My Signature". Wa lah! It's done, you now have a pic!

which one is better anyways?
Photobucket or ImageShack ?

photobucket has a more asthetically pleasing format (easier to view) but has the annoying 'crops large images'. Imageshack is convinient for fast image hosting but the album function sucks.
photobucket for images you want to store, imageshack for those oneshot image hosting.

I've seen accounts that have over 20 albums with up to 50 images in each...so it must be really high. half a gig perhaps?
