I apologize for that... (I was trying to give the main point but since you're limited on the longetivity of the title, I wasn't able to make it sound really good and I apologize... I also suck at making up titles so I also apologize for that...)

But mods, feel free to close, delete, terminate, etc. this topic if you find it that this topic could be redundant of any other topic or if you find it unnecessary...

But now on to my main point in as good of an explanation I can provide...

Basically, I want to know what you thought of each student before reading Negima... (Well, for Kagurazaka and Konoe, it's kind of impossible since there are a few pages depicting them and their starting personalities before the class roster page...)

Basically, what you guys might have thought about a certain characters personality or whatever... (For example, some people *From the class roster...* might have thought that Chao might have been the innocent genius because of those reddish cheek effects Ken puts on her in every of her appearance in the manga...)

Also, it doesn't have to be just the students... (I just focused on the students for a group of people to focus on incase you couldn't think of anyone in particular... I personally found it easier to say first impressional thought on the students because of the roster page and because other characters just come in full blossom when they appear... Basically, you pretty much know what Amagasaki and Inugami's personalities were gonna be like since they started on what they were like as soon as they appeared...)

Eh, but I guess I'll start... (Again, do whatever to this post if you mods find it unnecessary...)

(I'll just do the students because I'm sure, with my long posts, that you guys will be so bored or mind-bended *In a bad way...* by my blandness that I'll spare all the boring commentaries on non-student characters... Plus, it's easier for me since the class roster kinda introduces everyone in the class...)

Ok, so, without trying to sound like a professor lecturing, let's get started...

Well, now you take the hypotenus of the right triangle...

Also, the Del Ray version didn't have a colored version of the class roster, so at the point when I first saw that class roster, I had no idea what the character's hair colors and such were... (The beginning part wasn't colored either on that splash page with all the students, so that didn't help me either...)

Aisaka: Seeing her picture and the notes around her character (At first I never noticed that she wore a different uniform...) made me think that she might have ended up being one of those characters who would never appear and be a background character... (I also had no idea whatsoever what the 1940 thing meant cause Del Ray just had 1940~ and that didn't tell me crap...)
But I guessed she was a ghost... (Either that or some sort of vampire who never ages like McDowell...)
But I didn't think she'd be that much of a main character or anything...

Akashi: Eh, she kinda falls in the same boat with Aisaka but I guessed she might have appeared more often because her being a girl and in a basketball club kinda sounded weird so maybe she might have appeared to show Springfield how awesome of a basketball player she was...
No, I didn't think she looked like a tomboy... (And I still don't think she does...)

Asakura: Eh, Asakura also falls in the same boat as Aisaka and Akashi thought I thought she would have been more of the "annoys the crap out of everyone and is disliked by everyone because of that" type of character...
She kinda is because of her nosyness but I originally thought it would have been because she was a nerd or a loser or whatever... (No, I don't hate Asakura and I never did... I mean, how the heck can you hate someone with such a cool hair style... Gotta love the pineapple hair...)

Ayase: Eh, I originally thought her as Miyazaki...
The person who has no life *Not in a bad way...* besides studying and making really good grades...
Her being in the philosophy club made me think that she was a really logical and serious character... (Well, I was right on that...)
But I originally never thought of her as the cool slacker... (Not that being a slacker is a bad thing... Which is why she's my 4th favorite character... Also because she's really loyal and humble...)
Since she was on the first volume cover, I thought she was gonna end up being one of the secondary roles... (Not exactly major, but would appear more than Akashi... And, well, that is pretty true...)

Izumi: Same boat as Akashi...
Eh, I thought the Del Ray saying she was a manager was just a figure of speech, but because I originally thought she was probably just as good at soccer as Akashi is at basketball made me think Izumi was probably gonna appear more often than Aisaka or Asakura originally...
I also thought, in the beginning, that Izumi was a boy... (Her face in the roster made her look like a boy with long hair... Not that it's a bad thing...)

Ookouchi: I guess the sports quartet all fall in the same group...
Though I thought Ookouchi was gonna appear more than Izumi or Akashi... (At the beginning, I thought she was gonna have much of a role as Ayase...)
Mainly because she's a physical appearance clone of the younger Aoyama...
The swimming club thing also helped me think that she could appear more...
Too bad she's still one of the most mysterious characters...

Kakizaki: Eh, same boat as Aisaka...
I couldn't tell her hair was to be lavender, so I assumed it could have been brown or something and have her be a pretty plain character...
I didn't expect Kakizaki to have lost touch with reality as much as she does in the manga... (I acutally thought that she was going to be the motherly type... *And by that, I mean motherly... Not older sisterly...*)
Oh also, I assumed she was a good friend of Nagase considering she was talking to her in the page before the class roster... (And also because Del Ray had translated the thing she was saying to Nagase as "I'm counting on you"...)

Kagurazaka: Well, it was pretty obvious to me that she was probably going to be the main heroine considering she's the person right next to Springfield on the cover, she's one of the two to appear before the class roster and also because she was blown up pretty big, picture wise, on that splash page of all the students before Springfield is seen on the train to Mahora...
I didn't know she had the heterochemia thing because Del Ray didn't show that clearly on the cover...

Karakuri: Her ear adornments were enough to be shouting out that she was probably going to be a major character...
She was probably the character that astonished me most (Yes, more than Rainyday surprisingly...) because of the fact that she was a robot... (Usually, I thought of them as helpers rather than something that would acutally live among humans as a peer...)
But yeah, otherwise, I guess I speculated her to play more of a role than she does now...
Also, I don't think I ever thought of her being associated with McDowell... (Well, until she appeared with McDowell...)

Kugimiya: Sadly, she also falls in the same boat with Aisaka and Kakizaki...
She looks a little different than in the manga and it makes her look a little older...
I couldn't say what her personality was like except that I speculated her to be one of the more quiet types...

Kasuga: For the first 5 volumes, I thought she was a guy...
I mean she looks so much like a guy in the class roster picture...
Otherwise, I found it weird that she had no activities... (This was Del Ray, who had failed to note that she was in track and fields...)
But she falls in the same boat with Aisaka and the preceeding cheerleaders...
Though the fact that she was a part-time nun surprised me... (Just like the fact that she was also part of a mahou shoujo team...)

Kuu: Seeing that she was Chinese made me automatically think she was going to be a somewhat major role...
Usually, I think of non-Japanese people in mangas to take a major role...
Otherwise, I thought she was going to be pretty smart since most exchange students are... (At least in my experiences...)

Konoe: Considering she's in the cover, was the other person featured before the class roster, and had a somewhat blown up figure on that splash page, I pretty much assumed she was going to be the heroine supporting role...
Otherwise, her somewhat ditzyness made me think that she was one of the lower scoring people in the class...
And since her grandfather was the headmaster, I had assumed she was loaded... (And she is...)

Saotome: Eh, I acutally thought Saotome was going to play a major role than she has had in the past considering she was on the cover...
Oh, and just for the record, I had always got confused between her and Konoe cause they kinda look similar... (Or at least they did to me when I was first reading it...)
I also thought that she was going to be a really hard worker like I thought for Ayase or the mood swing type of person seeing that she looked angry in that frame where she was working on her manga next to Rainyday...

Sakurazaki: She was probably one of the biggest surprises for me...
I thought she was going to be in the same pool as Aisaka...
Heck, I acutally thought she was going to play no role whatsoever in the manga... (I just thought that the class roster was an extra feature Ken decided to put in there... But I didn't acutally speculate that he was going to touch on every single character...)
I thought Sakurazaki was just the plain of the plain...
Then came volume four when she started to take a major role...

Sasaki: I originally thought Sasaki was going to play a lesser role than she had in the first few volumes...
She was in the gymnastics club, but I thought that she would just be a background character like Akashi and Izumi...
(I acutally thought Ookouchi was going to play a bigger role than her...)
I also didn't expect that Sasaki was going to be one of those hyper characters...

Shiina: Eh, cause she seemed like she was one of those cheerful types, I thought she was going to play somewhat of a role...
And also besides being one of the cheerleaders, I assumed that she took lacrosse seriously like the sports quartet did with their sports... (Which is why I assumed that Shiina was in the "sports quintet"...)

Tatsumiya: I thought she was going to play a bigger role just because she didn't really look Japanese... (The doll-like eyes and dark skin was enough to make me say that she wasn't 100% Japanese...)
Eh, and at the time, I thought her association with the biathalon was not much of a big thing and that I didn't expect her to be a crackshot...
I also didn't speculate that she was going to be as tall as she is... (Being the tallest person in 3-A... Yeah, according to the game, she is shorter than Nagase but in the extras section of the first volume, Tatsumiya is just a tad bit taller than Nagase... And you can't get closer to the official statistics than the one that Ken, himself, gives out...)

Chao: Because she was Chinese, I thought she was going to play a much major role like Kuu, even in the earlier volumes...
Her rosy cheek feature made me think that she was probably just a normal innocent exchange student, but I was dead wrong...
Of course I speculated that she was smart because she was an exchange student and also because of her clubs... (I mean, who in the right mind would join the Quantum Mechanics club if they weren't smart?)
I also thought that she would also show off more martial arts skills in the manga, but she really hasn't so far...

Nagase: I was thinking she was probably going to be one of the background characters...
I didn't know she was going to end up being a ninja... (Del Ray put that she was "very determined" rather than the true translation that was supposed to say ninja...)
She just looked like the average cool slacker to me... (But since I went by Del Ray, I thought she was probably smart because she was very determined...)

Naba: Eh, I expected her to be a background character as well...
I didn't think of her as motherly as I originally thought Kakizaki to be like...
No offense, but she also looked like the type of person who would get with many people...

The older Narutaki: Eh, since she looked really young (AKA different...), I thought she was going to play a more major role than what she did...
I didn't expect her to be the trickery type... (Well, at least not as much as she is...)

The younger Narutaki: Same comment as I made with the older Narutaki on the assumption of character role importance...
Though, I expected her to be a much different person than her older sister...
I thought of her to be more of the sophisticated type... (Eh, I guess the "Beautification Committee" made me think that...)
Though I kinda did expect that she would end up hanging around her sister a lot... (But I thought they would be the ones to dispute a lot as well...)

Hakase: Eh, I thought of her more negatively than I do now... (Acutally, I only think of her in a positive way as she's my 5th favorite character...)
I didn't expect her to play a major role but I was thinking she was going to be the anti-social type or the person no one wanted to hang around because she seemed so much like a nerd or whatever...
Of course, I expected her to be smart considering she's in the Robotics club...

Hasegawa: The third person that I thought that was a guy... (But much less than Izumi or Kasuga...)
I expected her to be the grumpy type in the same boat as Hakase...
I also expected that she would be really smart cause she was also good with computers like Del Ray translated...
The whole Chiu thing was a surprise to me...
Though I expected her to have more friends than Hakase or Asakura... (Because Del Ray never put that she had no friends...)

McDowell: All I could think of when I saw her was Hermione Granger...
She looked so much like her in the class roster picture...
(I acutally thought that Ken used that character in HP to make McDowell...)
Since she was foreign (In Japan...), I expected her to be a normal exchange student... (And with that, really smart as well...)
I only assumed her ties with magic because of her physical similarities she shares with Hermione...
I never expected her to be a vampire and also to be associated with Karakuri...
I assumed her playing a major role just because she wasn't Japanese...

Miyazaki: Eh, I mixed her up with Ayase thinking that Miyazaki was the cool slacker...
Her hair style came across to me more along the lines of a person who was easy-going and lazy... (Kinda like skaters or something...)
Since she was on the cover, I assumed she was going to play somewhat of a major role...
I didn't expect her to be smart at all and I didn't expect her to be the nervous type at all... (Basically, I guess I assumed she was a librarian because she just wanted an easy job or whatever...)

Murakami: Eh, she falls in the same boat as many of people I speculated to be a background character...
Though I expected her to be the type of person who was able to act in varieties of ways because she was an actor in the drama club they have...

Yukihiro: Eh, my first thoughts on her were turned out to be dead wrong...
I thought she was going to be the person everyone hated because she would pick on the class on how she was beautiful, more popular than the other, and pretty much better than the rest of her class...
I just assumed she took the role of class iincho as something to boost her popularity at the school...
Basically, I thought she was the one who was the main head of the "popular" group at Mahora and a person who looked down on others because she would see them as inferior...
Flower arranging and equistrian club was there just to make me assume that she used those to boost herself as a person who was probably richer than the others... (So she can say that she's rich and everyone else is poor...)
Eh, I'm glad I was wrong... (Cause I really like Yukihiro's character, I'd just wish she would appear more...)
Eh, and since she was writing that welcome note, she was playing temporary teacher's pet so that Springfield (Not that she probably knew Springfield was going to be the teacher...) would find her as a person she can use to get her classmates in trouble...
But I also assumed she would play the main antagonisitic role to the students because of her being on the cover... (Her drinking tea, in the splash page, made me assume that she could be the cold, sophisticated type...)

Yotsuba: Eh, I was thinking she was probably going to be the poor victim of Yukihiro's insults and where she wouldn't have many friends or whatever cause she was a little chubby looking... (Though now I just assume she's big-boned or whatever...)
But I didn't speculate her to play a major role...
I didn't expect her to be friends with Hakase but with Chao cause they were handing out those nikumans...

Rainyday: Eh, personally, I thought she was going to play a major role because she looked really different and because she wasn't Japanese...
I speculated her to be the anti-social type but would hang around Springfield nonetheless...
I couldn't think of much more... (I really didn't know why she has those face painting marks...)
Eh, too bad she hasn't appeared much yet...

(Also, the partial class roster picture they used for the background of Del Ray's page of contents of the first volume that had Rainyday was enough to make me decide that Rainyday, from that moment on, was going to be my favorite character... I mean, she looks so dang cool...)

The one that surprised me the most was actually Takahata, until now I wouldn't think he would be that strong and knowned. I mean, AA+ combat ability skills?! Thats way off the Takamichi I had in mind..

Well my first thoughts.I started off with the japanese 1st volume so i got to see all the characters in color first hand.

1. Aiasaka Sayo- ever since the first volume i've been dieing to know about her. Particullary i wanted to know what 1940 was and why her hair was white.

2.Akashi Yuuna- i thought we would be getting a basketball arc about her, though ofcourse we never got it, so the closest thing i got to her character was the Drama about her, ku fei, Chao, Ako and makie playing basketball.

3.Asakura Kazumi- being a newsreporter, i kinda figured she'd be one of the first to find out about Negi being a magician. Well, i suppose i was kinda wrong on that fact, she found out by like volume 4.

4.Ayase Yue- No comment.

5.Izumi Ako- I thought we would be getting a Soccer arc on her, guess not though. In the class roster she looked like she didnt want her picture taken, so i thought she didnt have alot of self confidence. So i was right about that i guess.

6.Okouchi Akira- Like all the sports girls, i thought we would be getting a Swimming arc with her.

7.Kakizaki Misora- No comment.

8.Kagurazaka Asuna- 2ndary main character.

9.Kasuga Misora - Never even crossed my mind.

10.Karakuri Chachamaru - OMG ROBOT ROBOT! what i wanted to know is why shes a student and particallary, where she got her last name from. i was thinking it be from her creator, but as we all found out who it was, its not. Karakuri isnt the name of the college right?

11.Kugimiya Madoka- No comment.

12.Ku Fei - Is gonna have some important part later on. Martial Artists, chinese name.

13.Konoe Konoka- 3rd main character. And supporting big sister character for Negi.

14.Saotome Haruna - Antennas....Manga club....

15.Sakurazaki Setsuna - damn, shes cut off on the color picture, because of the grouping id figure she was a fighter (sees class roster) Kendo? that just screams swordsman.

16.Sasaki Makie - Cute character. Cute Arc.

17.Shiina Sakurako - Probably leader of the cheerleading group. Lacrosse club, At least one person each class has to be in the Lacrosse club, its pretty fun.

18.Tatsumiya Mana - Whoa whats with the rifle....Sniper!!! Shrine? This made me think she used those paper Talismens. But we have yet to see them. i also thought she was an Archer. She probably is, Long range weapons after all.

19.Linshen Chao - Holy Crackers.....is she in enough clubs? Genius.

20.Nagase Kaede - OMG Kunais?! NINJA!!! Wait walking club? you can have a club for that?

21.Naba Chizuru - I had a feeling she had the largest bust in the class.

22-23. Narutaki Fuuka, Fukima - OMG Twins...Easy to see which one is more girly (beutification Club) what the....Walking club?

24. Hakase Satomi - best friend of Chao.also a genuis. When i saw her Seiyuu, did she just dress like that for the concert or does she really look like that? her Seiyuu looks just like her Character, i wouldnt be surprised if she got Straight A's, they even make the comparison at the Concert.

25.Hasegawa Chisame - Computer expert.

26.Evangeline A.K. Mcdowell - Whats with that Stare?......My soul!!!!

27.Miyazaki Nodoka - Shy Character

28.Murakami Natsumi - Had a feeling she was gonna be a late character appearance.

29.Yukihiro Ayaka - The rich girl.

30.Yostuba Satsuki - Is probably gonna be an overlooked character and will make a late appearance.

31.Zazie Rainyday - hmmm, ok im curious. like the tear drop.

Takahata Takamichi - Probably is gonna show for a few chapters than dissapear, only to come back later when Asuna gets the courage to confess.

Shizuna - Is gonna be a major character and be a mother figure for Negi.

Headmaster - bleh, comedy relief. and the superficial old man mage guy.How old is he?

Nitta Sensei - omg, im glad i didnt have a teacher like him.

Inugami Kotarou - Is gonna come back and be Negi's rival/bestfreind.

Tsukuyumi - Probably gonna come back later.

Fate - Curious. Might be a one time character.

Thousand Master(nagi) - Negi probably wont ever meet him but he'll move on though and always think of his dad, and wont be in his father's shadow anymore.

After thoughts.

Shizuna - bleh, shes dissapeared,too bad she didnt become a mother figure.

Takahata - HOLY CRACKERS!!! The guy has a freakin ION CANNON.

Original thoughts? Like you, I didn't expect for Akamatsu to explain all of the characters, but it's nice that he did that. About the characters, I'm generally talking about what I first thought by looking at the class roster.

Sayo: I thought it was weird that the class roster said "Don't move her seat" and that she never showed up for a while. But I didn't quite make the leap to thinking she was a ghost, because until her chapter, I kind of forgot about her.

Yuuna: Her hair reminded me of Rukia, but other than that, I didn't notice her. Actually, I don't notice a lot of things...

Kazumi: My first thought was, "Wow, the hair is really spiky!" But am I the only one to think that she seems to be smiling rather evilly in the class roster?

Yue: I didn't notice her that much either, just thought that she looked sleepy. Plus there's that hair sticking out in the class roster picture.

Ako: Her nose is missing. Yeah.

Akira: I was thinking about the manga Akira when I saw her, but in retrospect, she looks like Motoko. A bit.

Misa: Her hair looks like cut pieces of paper. She didn't look that special to me, so I forgot about her, and even now I forget her name sometimes.

Asuna: When I looked at the roster, I thought she was an artist as well as a kid-hater, older people lover, and an unusually strong person(she just picked up Negi in the beginning. With one hand. I don't see many girls lifting ten year olds).

Misora: I thought she was a boy, too, until I noticed everyone else was a girl. Eheh.

Chachamaru: I didn't really notice her too much. My eyes slid past her picture.

Madoka: Looks nothing like her.

Ku Fei: She looks older, and her hair was different from now.

Then you should have seen the post I made on another forum lecturing on who Geminiman (From Mega Man 3/Rockman 3...) was to a person who didn't know who he was... (Geminiman was always my favorite Robot Master so I kinda lost my mind when the person said that and then I just spilled out the facts with pictures and such...)

On the sports quartet, they could eventually get an arc on their sports...

Remember that Japanese schools have athletic festivals every year and this year's festival hasn't been featured yet... (Not the festival right now since this doesn't have anything to do with athletics...)

During that festival, you might get to see, first-hand, on how good the students are at sports...

Karakuri means Mechanism according to some Japanese-English dictionary sites and Chacha- is the onomonopeia used for "disruption" and -maru is the suffix used for ship names and an emphasis on heirarchy in male names... (Why Karakuri has -maru in her name is beyond me unless Hakase wanted to add the masculine emphasis to tell how proud she is of getting Karakuri's activation sucessful... The disruption part of her name is beyond me since she isn't disruptive at all..)

Eh, when I saw Tatsumiya with a rifle case, I thought it looked more like a guitar case, so I assumed that Tatsumiya played the guitar instead of being a crackshot... (Boy, was I wrong...)

I was also confused about the Walking Club, but I assumed it was a touring club that introduced potential students (Or other students looking at the school...) to Mahora and gave them a tour of the campus in hopes that a visit to Mahora would have those prospective students to become part of the Mahora community... (I know cause there was one something similar for my old boarding school club...)

Eh, I wouldn't know anything about Kadowaki, Mai (Hakase's voice actor...) since she's only voice acted for 3 animes including Negima...

I hope Averruncus isn't a one time character... (Heck, I say that about every character that has appeared so far since Ken just doesn't do that...)

SECONDARY CHARACTERS

Chamo: there had to be a perverted guy SOMEWHERE in the series. Hes like Tama-chan, hes kinda the animal symbol of the series, except he has a role.

Kotaro: how does he hide the tail i wonder... :blink:. He cool.

Takamichi: Seems like the nicest guy. (later: wow, he can blow stuff up...)

Albiero: I like him. i dont knoww why...

First impressions. Let's see...Kinda hard to do right now. I'll just go with what I thought when I read the 1st two volumes before I started exploring Negima on the internet.

1. Sayo - Don't move her seat? Hmmm...I wonder if she goes crazy or something.

2. Yuna - Meh.

3. Kazumi - ....

4. Yue - Baka Black! She was pretty short and sorta sarcastic. I thought that she'd have red hair.

5. Ako - No Comment

6. Akira - Looks like Motoko.

7. Misa - Whatever

8. Asuna - Bitch Bitch Bitch. I was glad she got her clothes magically ripped. That made the series for me. I was reminded of the Ranma/Akane relationship...except that Negi didn't get hit as often as Keitaro. Also...BAKA RED!

9. Misora - Huh?

10. Chachamaru - Oooh! Looks like Chi from Chobits! Kinda felt like a gag character to me. I was wondering what Akamatsu would do with her. Didn't expect her to pair up with Eva though.

11. Madoka - Kinda ignored her.

12. Ku Fei - Baka Yellow! Chinese Girl! Loved the -aru's at the end. Funny character (I like how her voice turned out).

13. Konoka - Who's she? I really didn't take her in, even though she was Asuna's roomate.

14. Haruna - No comment.

15. Setsuna - Whatever.

16. Makie - Baka Pink! Like the ribbons. She was sooo cute. I was hoping they'd do more with her.

17. Sakurako - She's like the ultimate backround character.

18. Mana - Oooh. Sexy Black lady.

19. Chao - Didn't pay much attention to her. But why was she in so many clubs....

20. Kaede - Funny eyes-degozaru. Baka Blue. Big lady. I expected more with the Baka Rangers in general.

21. Chizuru - Ooh. Mutsumi.

22. Fuka - A twin! How Cute!

23. Fumika - A twin! And they both like Negi!

24. Satomi - ...

25. Chisame - Man, this girl's a bitch. And she looks like another bitch from Love Hina. The Chiu thing was funny. I liked her character.

26. Evangeline - The name alone made me want her to be a main character. Dreams do come true I guess.

27. Nodoka - Aww...She's shy. And cute. I was hoping something good would happen to her.

28. Natsumi - And she is...

29. Ayaka - Asuna's rival. There's always a villain or a rival. I was expecting Ayaka to fill that role. I was surprised when she didn't.

30. Satsuki - Fat.

31. Zazie - Nnn?

The copy and paste function is so lovely. ^_^ Here's my first impression and "so far" being how I feel abou those guesses now.

1. Sayo - When I saw don't move her seat, I thought that she'd be a trouble maker and be sweet and innocent then BLAMO. Bad girl.

So far: Damn, I feel stupid now.


2. Yuna - Typical top athelete.

So far: Yeah, living up to that at the moment.


3. Kazumi - Seemed like Kitsune, so I figured she'd be something like a mischief maker and resident nosy person.

So far: Worse than Kitsune, surprisngly, but my first impression was good.


4. Yue - I thought she'd be the shy girl type.

So far: Turns out she's the bookworm. Ouch.


5. Ako - I figured her to be a nice person who likes to look after people.

So far: Well, I'm half right about that (her being a nurse), yet she's the one that is the self-consicous one.


6. Akira - I picked her for the Motoko role.

So far: I don't really no, and apparently she's not that from everything I've seen.


7. Misa - I actually figured her to be the "bad ass" of the class. Getting her way, being the baddie.

So far: ...yeah, that SO was off. She's pretty much the girl that looks for the best possible scenario concerning guys.


8. Asuna - Something about her screamed Naru to me, so I figured some tendencies were going to be the same, except her personality was probably going to be hit Negi more often.

So far: It was in the other direction concerning her personality, with her being more caring.


9. Misora - Tomboy. Plan and simple.

So far: Yup, pretty much her. But a nun as well? That was so funny and so not her.

10. Chachamaru - Robot character, probably along the lines of "where I fit in the world"

So far: No, Chachamaru knows exactly where she stands and also what she wants with her life.


11. Madoka - I thought she'd be the serious type that never strayed from it.

So far: She's pretty much that.


12. Ku Fei - She's the stereotypical chinese gal.

So far: Well, concerning martial arts she is, but I was expecting her to be a brainy as well, and that wasn't true.


13. Konoka - Girl who would be the least used. And probably most uninteresting of the group. Considering she really didn't have anything that grabbed me.

So far: ...yeah, that backfired so much.


14. Haruna - Something about her pinned me as the resident rumor monger. I think it was the antenas and the glasses together.

So far: I'm amazed I wasn't wrong about this.


15. Setsuna - Assassin like character and demeanor that would do anything to get her mission done.

So far: I have this on the wrong person, and worse, the girl this is for is actually whom I had pegged with what Setsuna is. ^_^;;


16. Makie - Kawaii Shoujo. Definitely gonna be used very often.

So far: Definitely cute girl, but not used a lot.


17. Sakurako - I was expecting her to be as genki as I thought she looked.

So far: She definitely is as genki as she looks.


18. Mana - Considering I found out about her working at a temple via a friend, I figured that she'd be the type that falls for Negi, won't at first confirm she likes him, but definitely does enough stuff to hint her affections to him.

So far: See what I mean about screwing up Setsuna and Mana?


19. Chao - Geisha girl. No seriously, I honestly did think that she was supposed to be the beautiful "glass doll" girl.

So far: She's the brilliant chinese girl. My take was off.


20. Kaede - Shady character, might be in league with "mafia" type connections. Personality reflects that by her being schrewd.

So far: Ninjas are sorta mafia-ish, but personality is off big time.


21. Chizuru - Motherly affectionate girl.

So far: Yup, that she is.


22. Fuka - Oh twins. This one's the "good" one cause she's waiving at the camera.

So far: No she's the "evil" one.


23. Fumika - Too quiet, must be the "evil" one.

So far: Yeah, not "evil".


24. Satomi - Notepad = geek.

So far: No, she's a Washu like genius.


25. Chisame - I figured her to be like the "boss" of Setsuna and Kaede in this little group of "evil".

So far: No, she's the cosplay girl. Awesome, yet I feel terrible for this.


26. Evangeline - The girl everyone adores and feels compasionate for. Yes, I really did think that.

So far: She turns out to be a vampire and also is the bad ass of the bunch.


27. Nodoka - I figured she'd be miss bookworm and not shy girl.

So far: Turns out to be a bit of a bookworm (but loves reading), and also while a little shy also has grabbed her love life by the handles; running with it. Neither I would've guessed.


28. Natsumi - I figured her to be the very self-concious girl.

So far: Turns out she's the most ordinary of the bunch.


29. Ayaka - I was expecting her to be the coniving girl who was attempting to make Negi hers and hers alone.

So far: Not a bad guess, but usually the type I'm thinking about are a little "jerky", while she's very nice.


30. Satsuki - The resident chef who loves cooking.

So far: Yup, but she's also the great advice giving and caretaker of the class.


31. Zazie - I thought she'd be the first to notice magic and use magic with Negi because of her tattoos (paint) that she has.

So far: Nope, she's the silent girl.

As you can see, my first impressions via the class roster sucked big time.

1.Sayo Aisaka: Just by looking at her fade picture, you see she's a ghost, and the 1940 comment just assure me about that ^^

2.Yuna Akashi: Her father is a professor ? At mahora ? And the sports arc cross my mind too, that could have been a great occasion to have a little plots with all the other girls who are in sports.

3.Kazumi Asakura: Pinneaple head = cool, I thought she was in the "rich and popular" group at the school. The fact she is a reporter also makes me think she would be one of the first to discover about Negi's secret.

4.Yue Ayase: Looks like a little nerd, logic, boaring (hopefully, I changed my mind on her)

5.Ako Izumi: I didn't take here for a boy (right at the start, Asuna says mahora is for girls only), but on the class roster and the splash pic, she was looking shy and got a huge lack of self-confidence. Guess I was right on that.

6.Akira Okouchi: By her looking alot to Motoko made me thought she could be a major character. Even now, I am looking forward to a subplot with her (my 2nd fav char).

7.Misa Kakizaki: I thought her for be everybody's big sister/cheer leader along with Cizuru, but I am a bit dissapointed that she havent play a big role up until now.

8.Asuna Kagurazaka: Right aside Negi on the cover and the splash pic, already met Negi before the others ? It was writted in her face she was the main heroine character. And I thought her to be like Narusegawa.

9.Kasuga Misora: Her looking like a boy made thought she was more of the sport type, a thumboy, that sort of thing. I really didn't expect her to be link with the magicale students/teachers.

10.Chachamaru Karakuri: Big, metallical parts on her ears ? Call enginnering in case of emmergency ? Robot spotted. She HAVE to get her subplot later on.

11.Madoka Kugymia: I also thought of her to be in the "cool group", but I didn't expect much from her.

12.Fei Ku: I thought "yaaaayyy, we'r gonna have a martial arts arc!", but I didn't expect in the least she will have such lousy grades, exchange students (and chinese on top of that !) are usually got such goo grades.

13.Konoka Konoe: The gentle, nice counter part to Asuna, preventing her to go overboared, rfiend with all the class, that's what I thought of her, but the fact she got powerful magic powers really astonished me.

14.Haruna Saotome: A manga drawer, friend with the other members of the library expedition club. My expectations ? Same as Madoka.

15.Setsuna Sakurazaki: Nice, a swordsman, and kyoto one at that (shinmei maybe ?), cool looking, like Chachamaru, she HAVE to get an arc about her.

16.Makie Sasaki: Cute girl, liking cute things, so will fall in love/pet Negi. I was right on the second part.

17.Sakurako Shiina: An other cheer-leader, but that one look's much more energetic, she have to hyper active. And I was dead right ^^

18.Mana Tatsumya: I got the feeling I will like this char, and I was right (my fav one at that ^^). On the splash image, the miko costume and the riffle makes think she will later help Negi with demons and such. A normal and nice girl, but I wouldn't like to be at the place of the guy who piss her off.

19.Lingshen Chao: The naive little chinese genius. I didn't expect her to have a major role. It's probably the character I was the most wrong about.

20.Kaede Nagase: The "very determinated" in the class roster made thought Negi could have some problems with her. And the kunai on the splash pic was indicative of here ninja nature (at library island, my idea was confirmed, who else then a ninja could have such good reflexes ?)

21.Chizuru Naba: Same as Misa, but i suspected that she'l have a lesser role.

22.Fuuka Narutaki: Her younger appearance and little face made me thought she is the little pest of the class, the one always playing pranks on others with the hepl of her sister and Kasuga.

23.Fumika Narutaki: More feminine then her sister, maybe the one who told her sis, when she get too far with her pranks.

24.Satomi Hakasa: Same as Yue

25.Chisame Hasegawa: She look's like the anti-social one, disliking all her class, the one everyboy refer as "the bitch", a computer nerd. Wasn't suspected a lot from her either.

26.Evangeline A.K McDowell: The fact that Takimichhi says to Negi to refer to her in case of troubles makes think she was the most mature and calm. Her picture in the class roster looks literally like a zombie, with the huge cerns under her eyes. England origins, like Negi, maybe he'll have a subplot with her. But I didn't think she could be so evil ! (3hrd fav char)

27.Nodoka Myazaki: It hought she was the shy, innocent girl no one notice in the class, and my expectations were the same as for Madoka, but it proves wrong right she Negi rescue her.

28.Natsumi Murakami: No comment

29.Ayaka Yukihiro: The rich, spoiled, sophisticated brat who thinks she is so much better than the others, the "popular group"'s leader. Always trying toshow herself to Negi to gain is thrust and use it at her advantage. Hopefully, she is a better person that that.

30.Yotsuba Satsuki: Same as Natsumi and Madoka

31.Zazie Rayniday: She was the one I thought to be the bad girl, with her claws in the splash pic. She most have a cool arc, but I am disapointed that only spoke ONCE in the 14 first tomes. Ken's better to something about that ! She got the best expextation's from my part at the start.

Kageho, you were as wrong about the characters as I was...

Believe me, I thought a lot differently than they turned out...

Eh, though one thing I thought about Chao was that (I think I already mentioned this before...) I thought she was going to turn out as the person in the class who would just want to get with all the guys despite the fact that she's in all these clubs...

Also, if Kagurazaka and Konoe weren't featured before the class roster, (Basically, if the class roster was the first frame in the first volume or right after the splash page of all the students...) then I would have thought very differently of Kagurazaka and Konoe...

Mainly, I would think Konoe would never really play a role if it wasn't for the opening part that featured her and Kagurazaka...

As for Kagurazaka, I probably wouldn't have thought much of her either... (Seeing as that she was just in the art club would have made me think that she was a lot like Murakami on the fact that she was just really artisitic and cultural...)

But otherwise, I wouldn't have thought so much about those two...

Though nice lists all, eh, I though this topic might have died... (Keep 'em comin' you guys...)

For me, four of the girls stood out immediately on the class roster pic
in volume 1:

Sayo Aisaka: "1940", obsolete uniform, expressionless face,
"don't change her seat" - almost certainly a ghost

Chachamaru: Nuku-nuku earpieces, clearly a robot

Chao : the club list: WTF? who is this, Doc Savage? Buckaroo Banzai? (Clearly someone we're supposed to understand to be ridiculously good in MULTIPLE, unrelated fields of endeavor.)

Zazie Rainyday: Well, every single thing we've seen with her screams out that SOMETHING is up: face, bird familiars, lack of expression, what kind of name is that? etc., etc.

It was on second scan that I noticed Setsuna's association with Motoko's kendo school, and Mana kind of stood out too.

Two other pictures in volume 1 only underlined this analysis:

The height chart at the back, which contains the final proof that Sayo
is a ghost, since she's clearly portrayed without legs, while all the
others have legs.

The two-page splash on the first episode, which gives away a lot:
1. Tatsumiya dressed as a miko and aiming a rifle, for instance. The
grouping here, with Kaede, Setsuna, Fei Ku, and Mana all together in
fighting poses also told us who was who. (In this connection, it did not escape me exactly who sat out the dodgeball game late in the volume.)

2. Chachamaru associated with Hakase (rather than Eva-chan).

3. But the most interesting thing was the inner (world) circle, which we
could later understand to be mages: Takahata, Shizuna, Evangeline,
and Zazie standing around together in the middle of the picture. In
particular, here we can clearly see Zazie with inhuman hands.

Otherwise, I intended to add more stuff about what I thought of the characters beforehand...

About Tatsumiya, when I noticed that she had doll-like eyes, dark skin, and then those ribbons wrapped around the hair that hangs in front of her shoulders, I acutally thought maybe that Tatsumiya may have been born as a Native American or something and then maybe adopted by Japanese parents...

Eh, I actually expected her to be in a full Native American traditional wear or something, but then it was revealed that she's half-Puerto Rican...

I thought Rainyday was a weird name but I firstly associated her as being African or from Africa mainly because I remember that I used to have a classmate whose name was Zazie (Spelled exactly like that too...), so I associated Rainyday as African or African-American...

But then, from what I saw, I kinda started to associate her more as an Native American instead... (But that's what I speculate her to be until Ken reveals her true nationality...)

Eh, I didn't know she had whitish hair and red eyes until like two months ago, so now I guess I can speculate her as an Albino Native American who may have gotten a suntan for dark skin from maybe the environment she grew up in...

When it came to me checking out Negima for the first time, these were the girls that interested me:

-Sayo (thanks to her having the same seiyuu as Cherry from Saber Marionette J)
-Konoka (fun roommate for Negi and Asuna)
-Makie (can you say "sexy leotard"?)
-Ayaka (a good foil to Asuna's Naru-like behavior)

As for Nodoka, she didn't interest me at first, but once she showed her face to Negi (and Negi thought that she was really cute), she began to grow on me (with me officially becoming a Nodoka fan once I read the manga and realized how kawaii she actually is when compared to the anime).

As for characters that showed up after the manga started, when it came to Kotarou, he definitely was a fun character IMO when I first read the manga, and when Nodoka mentioned that he wasn't really a bad person, part of me thought that he'd probably become a good guy later on. In fact, the anime cutting Kotarou out of the story altogether is one of the things that led to me stop watching the anime after episode 19.

Darn, you got lot to write about... Well, since I'm lazy, I'll write about what I think...

In random order:
2/3-A Students:

Ako Izumi: Soccer player, shy girl, has huge fricken scar on back... I'm still wondering how she exposed could herself in the bath scene where they bust out the Slime X soap thing in book 8... I mean, she was afraid of showing her scar... And you better not be saying that Akamatsu just decided to give her a scar after book 8... If you look at Book 7, Period 61, you can see people running into the beach... Look behind Ako and you'll see a little scar showing...

Sayo Aisaka: I thought she was a cute girl from the start... Also thought that she was a ghost from the start... So far, I was very right... Though, I didn't really expect her to be a "scaredy cat"... Though, its very understandable, and very cute... Kawii...

Zazie Rainyday: I thought of her as somewhat the antagonist to Negima... If you look at the huge picture of everyone in Book 1, you'll see Zazie in the middle, back faced, and with long fingers... I'm still thinking she is somewhat the antagonist...

Mana Tatsumiya: I thought she was a South American... You'll never know, she maybe is... She did mention that she traveled the world... So she could of gotten great tan...

Extended Characters
Tsukuyomi: Yeah, she'll come back... You'll see... You'll never know, she could be the future "Ultimate Antagonist" of Negima... Though that may also go to Fate...

Fate: My view as the "Ultimate Antagonist" of Negima... Surely, we all know he is coming back to even the score with Eva-san...

Takahata Takamichi: Older guy rocks... ... ... ... ... You got a problem???

Mei Sakura: Eh, biggest dispute of them all... Mei Narusegawa vs Mei Sakura... I think Ken Akamatsu "reused" Mei, because she was important to him... I dunno, could be his daughter, sister, niece, childhood love, etc... Either that or is an excuse so Negima can later merge into the Love Hina line...

Honestly, I figured at least half the class would be regulated to background status, with a story arc each to explore their character. So I'll just go with the most notable similarities/differences.

Sayo: When I first saw the different uniform, the 1940, and the note about leaving her seat alone, "Ghost" was the first thing to pop into my head.

Kazumi: Her story in volume 4 was more or less what I expected, but I figured it would've been stretched out for at least half the manga, as she first starts trying to figure out the strangness about Negi, and slowly pieces the whole story together, with the final part of that arc being a confrontation to keep her from blowing his cover.

Yue: Immediately reminded me of Ruri from Nadesico. Of course, that was kind of vindicated in volume 3 when she called everyone else a bunch of idiots. ^_^ Didn't expect her to be a Baka Ranger, though.

Chachamaru: I think I speak for everyone(who hasn't spoken already, and even them, too!) when I say I didn't see the partnership with Evangeline coming. The story arc with Hakase was pretty much what I was thinking, though.

Fei Ku: Dark-skinned girl. Knows Martial Arts. In a Manga. Yep, she's figuring into the story big time.

Konoka: Her role has actually been a little smaller than I was thinking at first. Just a little.

Haruna: She kind of stands out, so I was thinking she would be the central character of the Library Trio, until Negi saved Nodoka. A smaller role than I was thinking, definitely.

Setsuna: Again, Anyone packing a sword in a manga where just about everyone else in the series doesn't is destined for at least a minor role. But her role has been much bigger than I expected.

Makie: Suprisingly larger role than I was thinking.

Mana: Again, she stands to far out to be a background character. Still wish they'd use her more, though.

Kaede: I don't think any of us were thinking "Naruto Refugee" either, even if we did catch that shot of her with the Kunai in the big splash page.

Chao: Nuh-uh. Didn't see that one coming at all.

Chizuru: Definitely a bigger role than I thought. Then again, for having the largest breasts in the class, she's used far too little for fanservice not to have had some character development coming her way.

Evangeline/Zazie: Glad to know I'm not the only one catching a Herminoie vibe from her pic. Zazie, I actually thought would have been in Eva's(and Chao's) place of biggest antagonist inside the class. Of course, she still might... *evilgrin*

For ~Tsukuyomi, Tatsumiya has been determined to be half-Puerto Rican...

Though since she does look different from the rest of the class, I would think people would have many opinions from where she would originally be from...

As for Tsukuyomi (The character...), eh, I hope Tsukuyomi returns transferring to the school... (Since she's implied to be Sakura's age and possibly in her grade, it wouldn't be impossible for her to transfer in... Especially knowing that Inugami goes there... *But hey, for all we know, that dog-hanyou could probably be as smart as Hakase or Chao...*)

For Averruncus, eh, I'm hoping it be like how Inugami came back but maybe except with another battle, but I hope for Averruncus to come to Springfield's side eventually... (Also, since Ken makes everyone eventually come to the main protagonist's side, maybe except for the final boss, I'm sure Averruncus will have some mutual relationship with Springfield eventually...)

For SAMAS, YES!!!

So, I'm not the only one who thought that McDowell was going to be a clone of Hermione Granger from HP... (To me, she looks so much like her... Or at least Emma Watson *The actress who plays Hermione Granger in the movies...*)

Eh, I could just see them doing a live-action version of Negima and asking her to play the role of McDowell...

But then of course, she'd have to dye her hair blonde, wear blue contacts, learn to speak Greek as part of her spells, and also learn to speak Japanese as a daily routine... (And I don't think Ken will be willing to pay that much just so he can have Emma Watson as McDowell, heck, I'm probably the only one, maybe SAMAS does too, who thinks they look a LOT alike...)

Also, just a few weeks ago, I looked at the height charts again in the extras of the first volume and I never noticed how tall Kasuga and Akashi were... (Akashi isn't as tall but still...)

I kinda noticed Kasuga was acutally a little taller than Kagurazaka and just a tad shorter than Yukihiro (I think a little taller than Kakizaki or just as tall cause I knew Kakizaki was kinda tall...) whereas Akashi is almost just as tall as Kagurazaka...

Anya- She'll be trouble coming... Kanako style

Tsukuyomi- Finally a girl closer to Negi age...But why the heck am I keep imagining a inevitable love comedy between her and Kotaro? (Good idea for a fic)

Mei- Wait! Akamatsu is reusing chaacter designs?.... Tournament Huh? her name is Mei!!! Naru's little sis?!!!

Cocone- Mini-nun... Younger than Negi-bouzu. She won't be interested in Negi.

(No name given yet) Glasses Elementary School Girl... Tall for her age... Possibly almost the same age as Negi... Kotaro's classmate (Mahora Elementary could be Co-ed) Given she is the last Mahou Shoujo not introduced yet she could be a potential love interest for either Negi or Kotaro outside 3-A.

Well Esperman, you certainly picked an interesting topic to start. I must say, what I would have enjoyed more is actually considering stopping at the roster page and writing down first impressions. As it is, I just read the page, stored it away for my mind to take apart and discover its secrets, and then moved on. So I suppose my impressions were a little contaminated by the fact that about twenty or thirty seconds after reaching that page (about how long it took to look at each picture and read each caption) I went to the next page. Luckily, I did have a way of thinking on it when I did that.

Note, I never thought boys were in the class because of what Asuna said previously, and because this is Akamatsu. After Love Hina, one boy teaching an all girls class sounds about right. I also assumed from the start that he would use all 31 girls.

Sayo - Ghost. Probably don't move her seat because she's sat in the same place for 60 years or something. If her seat were moved, she probably wouldn't know what to do.

Akashi - Daughter of a school professor? This is important, remember her. Will probably meet her father shortly, maybe in teacher's lounge. Was I off.

Asakura - Kitsune. Troublemaker, reporter, and gossip-monger. Bingo, I was right.

Yue - looks like an insomniac. Likes books. Kinda right.

Ako - Nurse, this is important. Looks a little anxious or uncomfortable, maybe doesn't like publicity. Again, kinda right.

Akira - Motoko. Probably likes Negi but doesn't really admit it at first. Athletic. This seems to be true in that there have been comments of her calling him cute, but nothing major.

Kakizaki - Popular girl, hangs with the in crowd. Umm, what in Mahora would we consider the in-crowd?

Asuna - Ok, this one is sorta cheap. By the time we see her picture we already know her personality, love interest, and that she's the main female character. So I'm skipping it.

Kasuga - Tomboy

Chachamaru - Ok, this is probably the one I was most off on. Mainly because it didn't occur to me until I saw her in Vol 3 that she was a robot (hides from the deadly thrown fruit). I thought she was an elf, or something else mythical that had pointy ears. This is the one time I didn't give the comment underneath her any real thought, and if I had I might have thought the engineering club had made some sort of portal to a magical realm. That, plus not speaking Japanese at all at that time I had no idea what her last name meant.

Madoka - Cheerleader, hence popular and part of the in-crowd.

Ku - Yellow hair, dark skin, foreigner... Kaola Su. Must be energetic, somewhat violent, and bad at Japanese. You know, that logic somehow worked.

Konoka - Headmaster's grandaughter. Ok, since the headmaster is magic user, Konoka must have magic powers too. I won't go into her personality or anything because it was spoiled beforehand.

Haruna - Being in the manga club I figured she'd either have some connection to Akamatsu, or was a foil for Akamatsu's own personality.

Setsuna - Let me say that had the Del Rey and Tokyopop translations of Shinmei been the same ( I believe tokyopop called it God's Cry) I would have thought of her VERY differently. As it is, I just thought she was a kendo person, and that I liked that about her, but her picture didn't really stand out.

Makie - cute, popular, maybe in-crowd (seriously, I want to know what the Mahora in-crowd is).

Shiina - first, this was the girl talking to Kaede, not Kakizaki Esperman. As for impressions, happy, popular, cheerleader = in-crowd

Mana - whoa, she looks dark skinned. Wonder if she's from Okinawa or something.

Chao - That's a lot of clubs. Forget it, I'm not reading them all right now (this is exactly what I thought). I didn't even think of her as Chinese until I went back and read this again after reading it through the first time.

Kaede - Very determined huh? Wonder what about? She looks cool though. Hmmm, Kaede... (thoughts fly off to character of same name from Please Teacher).

Naba - Mutsumi. Therefore she has big breasts, smiles a lot, and is very kind. However, Astronomy club means she might be smart.

Fuka twins - Why is Fumika written next to her name? Is it some language difference I should be aware of? Bet they do everything together. Yes, I grouped them together in this because that's what I did when I first saw them.

Hakase - Nerd. Geek. Smart girl, but not smartass.

Chisame - Naru with her glasses on. Computers huh? Maybe a hacker.

Eva - English name. Blonde hair... Sarah MacDougal. Heck, even the surnames are close. Looks a little grumpy, just like Sarah at times. Maybe tired too.

Nodoka - Shinobu, Shinobu, Shinobu! Therefore she is shy, indecisive, and will like Negi from the beginning. Her love for him will help her gain courage and grow as a character. Oh, and she's in the library, so she's smart. Not bad huh?

Natsumi - Freckles, doesn't look all that bright.

Ayaka - prissy rich girl who is also a teacher's pet and thinks she's so great. Has a very confident, superior smile. Thinks she knows best. In-crowd. Pretty good guess.

Yotsuba - likes food, eats a lot.

Rainyday - First, let me say I didn't even take her name into account. by this point I was getting tired of the page and wanted to move ahead with the story. I did note however that she had magic listed as a class activity, and had a strange scar over eye. Figured she was the only other person save Konoka who could do magic in the class save Negi.

Takahata - Seto. Would be an older version of Negi, but doesn't know magic, even if he does know of Negi's training.

Shizuna - Whoa. I want a cookie too.

Negi - Harry Potter, meet Ken Akamatsu. I hope having a cute, popular character won't be too strange for Ken, the unpopular dorks have worked so well in the past.

Magus - Dumbledore/Merlin

Headmaster - This guy is SO a wizard. Sure seems interested in hooking his grandaughter up.

Thousand Master - Well I had no clue this was his father. I just assumed this was some super powerful wizard that he idolized and wanted to be like. The fact that the Thousand Master gave him the staff suggested he had great faith in the boy's growth.

And just for fun, I'll do this one too.

Esperman - Long posts. I like it, reminds me of my own tendency to write a lot. Probably doesn't mind it when a teacher says it's an all essay test like me either.

So, how'd I do?

Eh, acutally, I was originally going for this and this what I said about the class roster page... (Or most of the stuff...)

The other stuff I pointed out were merely what I got totally wrong like the fact when I thought that when I saw Tatsumiya for the first time with her rifle case, I acutally thought it was a guitar case and thought maybe she played the guitar from time to time... (Boy, was I really wrong on that...)

But for Kagurazaka and Konoe, I mainly also pointed out what I would have thought about them if there wasn't that introductory part pointing out Kagurazaka and Konoe... (Both of which I would have thought would not have a really big part... Especially Konoe...)

But nice thoughts on Karakuri which is believeable to think that you could have thought she was an elf... (Kinda like how elves in WarCraft 3 are depicted with huge ears and such...)

For Shiina, eh, I meant her when I was talking about her talking to Nagase... (I guess I put down Kakizaki before I realized what I put down...)

Also, yeah, I never got bored with the class roster page...

I think I litterally spent like 30 minutes to an hour studying every single student and thinking of what I would think they would play in this manga before going on to the next page...

Yeah, when it comes to stuff like this, I like to know the characters in detail as much as I can... (Also, I was surprised that Ken even put this up there cause I thought that only a few students would be important in the storyline... But even with the class roster, I thought a lot of the students were not going to play any major role...)

As for your thoughts on me, I acutally hate essays...

I've never made an A on any essay in my life... (Mainly cause I went to a private boarding school and then a college which is pretty difficult...)

But I've always hated writing mainly because they were always about stuff I didn't care about...

But eh, I guess you can say I like to write a lot about Negima... (Though any forum I'm in, I tend to write a lot...)

As for the girl in the elementary school uniform with glasses at the mage council meeting, eh, I guess I never noticed her to an extent...

But yeah, hopefully she will play a role in the future... (Thanks for pointing out who she was cause I was wondering for a while who that person was...)
