Hiya... This is Tsukuyomi, wanting to ask permission if I could use the arts that was included into the later chapters of Negima (You know, the AQS Extra folder)... I didn't really know who to ask, so I just made a topic (Sorry, for my newbie-ness around the people in this forum and such)... Well, I just wanted to used them for a sig and was wondering if it's alright with the person who did it...

Well it is a public release so feel free to do so...just be sure to give credit to the colorist (once you find out who did what ^^; )

edit: we used to but w/e~ credit given where credit due...might be just me but it can be annoying editing out the name of the creator when using a nice image ^^;; ahehehe

It's the colorist's job to put his/her name on the work, not mine.

Here's what I say: If they bothered to give credit to themselves, ask them and then credit them as well. If not, then don't bother tracking them down. But that's just me.

I just made I killer siggy... Though, its to big for me to put it as a regular sig for this forum... Also, the file size is too big... I really need to shorten up the animation...

Oh - so I'm supposed to put my name on my pics - OK - well since I never noticed anyone else do that before I never did - since they are traces.
But since they do take me many hours each to do I guess I can put a little かの in the corner - OK - I guess I'll update all my originals also :) (in my sig link)

Pros: Credits/Recognition

Cons: People who want to use it have to crop or edit the image ^_- I know I've done it a few times for wallpapers....Yeah it's important to give credit and praise to those who did the work but jeez, people don't usually re-use/advertise the image with the name still in it (especially those with huge obvious text that totally ruin the image) [/leechery]

Only when the artist is a bastard who puts his name right on the hair, clothes, shoes, or face. AQS colorists should put their names at white/blank spot.

all we're saying is tryng to screw around the person who wants to use our picture (in a wallpaper or whatever) by deliberatly putting the credits on top of the picture.. hehe...

Personally, I'm glad that we have people like Pariah that give full credit where it's due, such as in sigs using images made by others suck ass and, as such, are great targets for rage.
