Title: ATTN: Signatures
Kai - October 2, 2006 11:35 PM (GMT)
Ok guys, the rules are
here and although we're pretty lenient with most of the rules, the signatures are getting out of hand. It's 523x200 (don't ask why) and that's pretty big already.
Now, some of you might interpret this as "Oh look, I'll put a sig pic that's 523x200, then I'll add lines and lines of text underneath that". If you have a sig that's already a height of 200, please have more sense to NOT put anymore text with it.
I'll give you some time to clear it up otherwise I'll have them removed. It probably won't bother most of us if it's 524x203 or something like that (I'm sure you get my idea), but if it starts stretching the screen, make your one sentence post take up half a page or just excessively large/rude/whatever we're going to remove it on sight.

So....I need to remove my quotes?

RedSteel - October 3, 2006 01:23 AM (GMT)
I guess this is an okay rule.. oh well.
Yuber8900 - October 3, 2006 03:38 AM (GMT)
Add above text to your list too Kai, or I could sneak by in a loophole!
Zaigar - October 3, 2006 05:16 AM (GMT)
It's not a loophole. You're still breaking the rules by ignoring the limits. Up or bottom it doesn't matter. Sig size limit is 500x200. Wherever you put the text doesn't matter if there's a size limit. Correct?
kenichan - October 3, 2006 10:27 AM (GMT)
Well..there's always the 'Lambinator' to blam those sigs that are beyond limits >.>
kct - October 3, 2006 01:29 PM (GMT)
Make it less than 5 lines of extra text.
Tmoo - October 3, 2006 09:10 PM (GMT)
i think the message is "keep it within reasonable bounds". as in, don't go adding 15 lines of text in your sig.
ARolf60 - October 3, 2006 09:49 PM (GMT)
*wonders if his sig conforms to the new rules....
AsunaNegi - October 4, 2006 12:22 AM (GMT)
If my sig doesn't conform, PM me please. I don't want to have my sig ****ed up like the last time someone screwed with it (*ahem* MODS!!!!)
Kai - October 4, 2006 07:05 AM (GMT)
Seriously guys, it's not rocket science. If your sig is 125 pixels in height, and the extra quotes and text that you're putting in is roughly the same size as the pic, YOUR SIG IS OVER THE LIMIT.
That said, AsunaNegi your sig is too big.
Silverback683 - October 4, 2006 09:25 AM (GMT)
I guess I'll remove some of my text from my signature. But no matter what, The Bloated One will still be the undisputed largest member of AQS B)
AsunaNegi - October 5, 2006 12:15 AM (GMT)
-_- fine fine I'll see what I can do...
Silva....a Misa Siggy!? Oh lord, hope asuna doesn't see that...
ChaosHawk - October 7, 2006 02:00 AM (GMT)
You know....havent we had this go around and around like....6749037059 times since the original AQS community even went up....oh....and hey guys!! :P
Tmoo - October 7, 2006 04:29 AM (GMT)
dead birdman returns!
the policy was rigidly enforced waay back a year ago, if i'm not mistaken. (i even got pm'ed about my sig from erizo).
Invader G'rr - October 7, 2006 04:45 AM (GMT)
At least you got PMed... nowadays, mods would warn you in public which was kinda "WTF?"
Oh btw, nice to see you back, Chaos...
Kai - October 7, 2006 11:53 AM (GMT)
Because when you PM, the other person usually PMs you back which would result in your PM box being filled with stuff like "Yeah k I removed it" which gets annoying after awhile.
AsunaNegi - October 7, 2006 01:27 PM (GMT)
I thought mods had infinite space pm boxes

Really? Oooh..
Anyway, even if they had such space it would still be annoying to recieve a pm from everyone you warned. They were supposed to act upon the warning in the first place, so a reply saying that you did so is completely unnecessary.
I think..
AsunaNegi - October 7, 2006 02:44 PM (GMT)
but then people get nervous and want to make sure the mod knows, so they don't get in trouble.
Invader G'rr - October 7, 2006 04:54 PM (GMT)
They should get nervous if they haven't changed it yet. G'rr thinks mods would have the decency to wait for that person to conform their sigs to the required size --> (2 to 3 days) perhaps? :)
If not, you would just see your sig "de-linked" (is that the right term?) and see your sig reduced to a hyperlink.
