I have been wondering for some good time now why companies such as GoodSmile or Max Factory aren't picking up anime series like Mahou Sensei Negima?

Does Konami have some law which protects they anime from anyone else from taking it? I would love to see a Negi, Setsuna, Asuna, or even Nodoka Figma if they made one. Heck even Nendoroids or Nendoroid Petits would be awesome!

Does anyone know of why this is?

probably, the license is hold by konami, and konami got MMS (poseable, like figma, but with lower quality), it's unlikely for max factory or GSC to get it.

It's funny because I had this dream last night that I had obtained a Negi (Teenager Ver.) Figma and it blew my mind away how amazing it looked.

^I'm sure my dream had to account to:

1)My Kyon Figma
2)A Screenshot from the Ala Alba OAD where it showed Negi Teen Ver.

Hopefully GSC and MF could pick this series up. They'd make huge sales like the Lucky Star and SHNY products they keep on releasing.

Have they made a Figumate for each of the Negima classmates yet?

I don't ever recall there being a Rainyday figumate... (If there was, I might actually get it imported... If I can afford it...)

i actually have about 34 more figuremates in reserve. 12 or so extras from when heartnana bought the ones i didnt have to start NGC, 2 complete 10pack boxes unopened + 2 single units unopened

@esperman: for me, it depends; when i bought them in volume sets, i payed around $60 US (for 10), at conventions, i payed the same for volume sets (if you go early, you have that ability), singles cost me $8 each

It'd be interesting to find out if KONAMI actually does have a license on all negima products.

Goodsmile or Max Factory has got to consider picking this series up if they can.

the contract requirements that konami make the merch, the games and other related material

and they also have about 50 other lines to wry about, if negima is outdated, why spend money on it? once the movie comes out, expect a shitload of stuff.

There is also the distinct possbility that konami were the highest/lowest bidder

I would love to see a Raiten Taisou II Negi figma, or a Fate figma, or a Rakan figma, or a Setsuna figma... well, I would like to see a lot of characters made into figmas to be honest. Too bad Negima isn't all that popular in Japan and Konami doesn't do anything with the license.
