Title: Hello

AndyMacK - May 5, 2009 09:30 PM (GMT)
Wow. It seems to me that AQS is not now what it once was. I mean, this place is dead! (oh alright, semi-dead)

Forgive me - I'm getting ahead of myself. My name is Andy, and I have "followed" AQS for sometime now. The reason is Negima - heh, how many times have I seen that word written on this site; I was a large fan of your older scanlations and still remain so to this day. They were, quite literally, a joy to read.

And then one day... Nothing. So I was forced to read Enigma!s - and, whilest they get me through the story and have (at the very least) decent translation, they don't quite have the "life" that the AQS chapters did. I know, I know - this sounds all sappy and ridiculous, but it's true. I then got it into my head to "learn2scan": a self-explanatory term the achievement of which proved to be much more difficult and time consuming than I felt that it had any right to be, dammit!

So I put that to one side. I then come here a wee while later to find you releasing again. The joy! In reality, this is less a post of introduction and more a post of "Yay AQS /chuu", and for that I apologise. I just felt like I needed to say it. Also let me say this - I want to help. "I have seen the true way and I wish to be a part of it". I have the necessary tools, I am willing to learn and I have a large amount of free time, but I don't know where to start.

To wrap up - thank you AQS for the great quality of your scan(t)lations, thank you also for subbing the Negima OADs, and thank you for reading my little ramble.

-Andy

Welcome to AQS...

It's good to know you're willing to help out the scanlation team...

Good luck getting into the team and I hope you make it in...

Otherwise, I hope you enjoy it here...

Er, I went to University in Scotland in the late ‘70s if that counts?

It’s good that you’ve found your voice, better still if want to join the crew and make things happen

Seriously, enjoy your time here whether you join in the arguments discussions about the plot or join the scan team, I look forward to seeing you about the forums.

It doesnt get warmer than that I am afraid... :heh:

Thank you :D Your welcome was plenty warm, 'specially after my (on hindsight, rather embarrassing) introduction post. I look forward to getting to know you all.

This place is active during certain hours.

It is like all places. If you pump out stuff, people will go here, if the releases get stalled 3 days, everyone leaves. Sad but true.
