I'm making another playthrough of Final Fantasy VII and I thought I should get some opinions on what I should use for my party members essentially what is a good team for FF7.

My last playthrough consisted of me using the Buster sword as Cloud's only weapon until obtainning Ultima Weapon, having Yuffie as my caster, and having Vincent as my long range or tech member. After realizing that Vincent has insufficent Attack Power and MP I thought it would be best to start a new playthrough since I kinda only mained these characters.

So I thought making this thread could allow people to share their tactics and strategies for Final Fantasy VII and so I could get feedback on a new party for my next playthrough. Also to note I did use the Morph materia to get almost infinite luck sources and speed sources so all my party members have an epic amount of speed and critical hits.

Cloud (duh), Yuffie and Barret. Don't use Yuffie and Barret's L4 limits - rather, use doom of the living and Ungermax. Max out strength, Yuffie w/conformer for great justice, consider tons of High-rank materia on Barret's uberweapon. Throw on a few KotR in extra slots for great justice.

Try to see if you can get it set up so that you have yuffie have a bunch of first strike abilities, have her be a first-strike/counter beast.

Give Barret Mega All, Quad Cut, and other 'strike all, strike several times' things.

Cloud... do what you will. Consider giving him spells - the other two definitely don't need them. But it may be a good idea to make him a paladin just in case.
