Its 2 in the morning right now so I`ll let this do the talking:
http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/interest/2...er-portable-3rdI have never played Monster hunter before even though I heard its very popular but this is not reason enough for me to buy it.
What are your thoughts?

Funny, I thought Monster Hunter 3 was a Wii exclusive...
Well, it's cool, I guess. Another proof Negima is popular (or Akamatsu is friends with everyone)

Monster Hunter 3 IS a Wii exclusive, this is the Portable version, which will be superior (not graphically) and sell better (because it sell's better on PSP), it is one of the biggest hit for the PSP there.

And of course it's coming to the US, since we pretty much get all the MH games these days...though I don't know about that weapon being included.

Given how the Shounen Jump designed outfits/weapons were included in the American version of Phantasy Star Portable 2, there's a good chance that the sword will appear in the American version of MHP 3rd.

What KA needs to do is follow Mine Yoshizaki's lead and get in on that SoulCalibur action, should the next console version give the opportunity. If
Angol Mois's cousin can fit into the series, then a KA-designed previous (or even current, with some tweaking) wielder of the Ensis Exorcizans would be perfect for it...

Just to let you guys know: Ken Akamatsu isn't the only manga-ka contributing something to MHP 3rd, as Gosho Aoyama is contributing a Felyne companion character who is dressed up as his most well known character, Conan Edogawa from Detective Conan (Case Closed outside of Japan).

And I would love to see a Negima fighting game and not like piece of rubbish Neo pactio fight.
I am actually quite surprised there hasnt been a game considering the OVD`s.
The games were on full blast during Xebec and Negima!?`s reign.
I guess patience is in order but its good to see Akamatsu getting more involved lately.
@quigonkenny SoulCalibur 4 had a bunch of original characters by several BIG SHOTS such as OH-GREAT and Hiroya Oku(they do air gear and gantz).
Only regret that they virtually had no story or to be frank the entire game`s highlight was the online capability, Soul Calibur 3 was awsome!!!!
Heck even Mashi Kishimoto(dont need to say it but he created Naruto) did an original character for Tekken 6 and even has the same character going to Ninja Storm 2 with the design close to his own.
Basically Akamatsu making an original character even for another game would definately make me or rather I`m sure everyone here will put high consideration in getting it should a thing ever come out.
As for Monster Hunter 3 and the Magea Erebia symbol on a sword that has a similar shape to Asuna`s, its still not enough to convince me to get it.

Sunday vs. Magazine had Negi in it...but not the other girls (they were assists)
I'd love to have one of the games released here but that has no chance of happening aside from maybe a translation patch for the GBA or DS games. Or possibly the PS2 games.
If they made a Dynasty Warriors Negima, I bet it would have a chance of making it here given how the Dynasty Warriors franchise seems to catch on in the US despite reviewers bashing it for being repetitive.

Sunday vs. magazine.
Looked pretty cool, I lost my chance to get it.
If a sequel of it comes again we might see a certain knight(whats japanese for knight?)

The second Negima DS game was pretty decent, but many characters had powers taken from Negima!? (even though some characters like Chao, for example, had attacks or outfits based on the manga.) It had plenty of voice acting too, specially for a DS game.
I don't believe more Negima games will come out (specially now that we know thee will be no more long anime series) but I really wish it did. After all, half ofthe cast in Negima got new powers and fighting abilities, which would make any strategy or fighting game way more interesting.
On the other hand, I've been... wait, nevermind =P
Sayo's Guardian - December 17, 2010 10:34 PM (GMT)
I have bought and played all Negima games with the exception of Neo Pactio Fight and the 2 GBA Private Lesson games.
As far as the 2 handheld DS games go yes, the second was great as you said Boo because of its strong references to the combat side of Negima like Chao`s suit and Takahata`s Iai-ken.
However the story was more in the style of Shafts Negima!?, the first one had a better story and seeing Kotaro though not playable was still very satisfying.
I wont stray from the topic, you never know perhaps after the final OAD and our mystery movie(Is that still happening?) has been released.
perhaps they`ll consider but Akamatsu actually getting involved in the gaming industry is a good sign,
Well unless we see him involved in another we cant expect he`ll carry on.
Zeether - December 18, 2010 12:48 AM (GMT)
The movie's happening still.
I think it would be cool to see more Negima branding or objects in a video game, but actual playable characters would be awesome.
