Hideyoshi is a middle school girl who manages to get sent to a medievil Edo style period with a twist - all the inhabitants are women ... maybe the author liked Koihime†Musou? :)

The medievil boss girl Oda (voiced by Megumi Toyoguchi - Chifuyu from Infinite Stratos - and the exact same voice) requests Hideyoshi's help to complete her quest to get the Crimson Armour to rule the world.
Though the reason for Oda's request seems to be that she likes Hideyoshi ... ... ...

Oda has a Queen's Blade look to her (though I didn't watch many episodes of that show so it may not seem that way to others)

I thought of Kagome when Hideyoshi went to the shrine (and the archer in the OP reminded me of Kikiyo)
For some reason I thought that was Date in the shrine ...

The dog ?!? at the end ?!? OK that was unexpected.

No real fanservice so far :) ... EXCEPT the ED :P

Background graphics are good.
Character animation is OK (average)

Hopefully this is better than Hyakka Ryouran...

L->R, top
Toyotomi Hideyoshi, Oda Nobunaga, Akechi Mitsuhide(Wait didn't he..uhmm.. her betray Hideyoshi??), Shingen Takeda

As for the bottom 4, All I can truly recognize is Masamune Date(Far right, blue hair, eyepatch, very recognizable outfit if you ever played any of the Samurai Warriors or Warriors Orochi Games. And also, Hideyoshi called her "Date-sensei" earlier in the episode).
I think the dark-blue haired girl may be either Honda Tadakatsu, Yukimura Sanada or Uesugi Kenshin.
As for the other 2, I have no idea so far...

edit:
Upon checking ANN's page for this series,
QUOTE
Hideyoshi Toyoomi
Mitsuhide Akechi
Kenshin Uesugi
Nobunaga Oda
Yoshimoto Imagawa
Shingen Takeda
Ieyasu Tokugawa
Masamune Date

So I got Kenshin right, the green-armored girl probably is Tokugawa Ieyasu and the pinkish purple girl is Yoshimoto Imagawa...

I am a sucker for time-travelling.

Seeing characters from times of old and new interact in a world of the opposite has always got me.

I`ll watch this series for sure.

For now I have but 2 complaints after watching the first episode.

1)Why is Oda wearing bikini-armour?
Seriously why?

2)As Hata said, Lead is dumb and sometimes I feel like strangling her(in a comedic way) for being spoilt as Hell, cant read the mood, failing to comprehend the situation she`s in.

I`ll be shocked if she hasnt figured out that shes back in time by the end of episode 2.

I am very much looking forward to TWGOK2 though!

I haven't watched it but if this becomes another anime like queens blade I'll surely remove it from my watchlist

Sayo's Guardian - April 9, 2011 02:53 PM (GMT)
Definately not like Queens Blade.

Its reasonable.

Sayo's Guardian - April 12, 2011 01:33 AM (GMT)
Just watched episode 2.

I WANT TO STRANGLE THAT NECK!!!

Shiro is cool though.

This world is just...
Storks, was he serious about that?
did that thing(IDIOT) simply accept that explanation?

Nobody questions how the mobile phone plays music?

I like this series overall so I think I`ll stick through to the end.

The biggest mystery is...
Who exactly is Shiro?
He knows that IDIOT came from another world.

Actually the one thing that caught my interest was when Date looked at Hideyoshi almost as though she knew her
I'm still wondering if Date is actually the same person as in the present.
(also, I have no Japanese history knowledge and I haven't read up about who of the 6 did what to who)
Ep 2 was entertaining enough to keep watching ...

jdennis007 - April 21, 2011 10:30 PM (GMT)
I like the idea of Hideyoshi's life being in danger in the challenge it gives some people hope that maybe she wont survive (at least not intact) one of the challenges.

EP 6 - finally a hint as to what is going on with regards to the paradox ...
I guess it means that when Date 1 touched Date 2 - one of them disappeared (2)
... and yep Date is Date :)

Also that glowing silver thing at the end of the OP finally makes an appearance ...
I've been wondering since Ep 2 what that was ...

Well ... Ep 7 was somewhat different ...
Akerin: "G-Girls should spend some time together naked once in a while."
However, Shiro's ideal story involved men attacking Tokunyan (Ieyasu)
... we still don't know what "happened" to the "men" ...

Hideyoshi: "Urusai, urusai, urusai" :)

Eh? The ending image? What was that supposed to mean?
(I guess we'll find out soon enough)

Shiro is male himself and knew that Hideyoshi was from another world.

For now I`ve accepted this is simply a different time and space where Pelicans actually deliver babies(I still have trouble beleiving that but I cannot argue against a country filled with women only)

The only mystery is Shiro for now.

kano - May 31, 2011 01:51 PM (GMT)
... and with the end of Ep 9 I'm wondering now if it's time for history to take over ...
(i.e. the things that really happened among these 6 in history)
coz the pure comedy is certainly disappearing ...

Sayo's Guardian - May 31, 2011 03:08 PM (GMT)
did research and apparently this anime is based off a pinball machine.

A manga adaption is running in a Dengeki magazine, flipped through 1 chapter and it look interesting.

Sigh.....

Am I going to be the one to point out the Nun who has a cross around her neck living in Ancient Japan?

kano - June 7, 2011 12:35 PM (GMT)
At the start of Ep 10 they lodge at "Honnouji"
So I thought I'd wiki that while the OP was playing ...
Then Hideyoshi basically says the same thing written in the wiki ...
I wonder how they will get around that bit of history ... watching ...

Well in the end it similar at least.

As for Akerin: "You got one time ... I got twelve" LOL

It should not surprise you since Hideyoshi's cell phone playing music should have branded her either a demon or a god. In all honesty for all we know everyone there can be from a different time plane and Hideyoshi is the only one who doesn't know it.

This is so crazy regardless though this seris should be finishing in about a week and I hardly remembered watching the previous episodes.

This is basically sort of trying to do the same thing as the original Koihime Musou game.

war in ancient Asia where all significant roles are female.

I have Wu-hen and Shu-hen for PSP and it actually makes me wonder a little if the Koihime anime were like the game.

It followed the story it was based off more closely HECK characters die in Koihime game.

Oda was supposed to die but it was clear she wasn`t going to because of the whole conquering(I probably mispelt) the land business.

It would be nice to see an all girl war anime which is actually educational.

Ahem....
Do you recall the episode where we met the girls in green and purple armour?
Oda`s group and them had a competition.

I thought the sumo wrestling was kind of.......

I won`t beat around the bush.
Seeing girls in loinclothes wrestling is really sexy and stuff.

Sports manga/anime isn`t really in my forte, most popular one released in english is either Eyeshield 21 or Prince of tennis.

My point is! Does anyone know any manga/anime series/oneshot/chapter where we have bishoujo sumo-wrestling?
Sumo-wrestling is not something I`d imagine seeing bishoujo.
Its just I`m thinking of series like Bamboo Blade(havent seen or read it) and I can picture girls doing that.
But sumo wrestling?
It can`t exist.

Anyway hopefully the teacher, Shiro or somebody explain what the hell is going on!!!

From jump I knew this was gonna be fluff so I was surprised when they tried to add plot late in the game, all that aside I've been watching this wondering "if that armor was so damn important and powerful why haven't you put it on yet?" Two people have had it long enough to try it on and see if there was any truth to the legends and yet....

Also am the only one thinking "why didn't Date just run over the purple-armored girl and her pet ninja?" I mean seriously they're only two people standing in the middle of the road and they're less scary then the person you just robbed and tried to have killed, lol. This would be the point in the scheme where you don't stop for anything except to rest your horse and haul ass to the goal point.

kano - June 28, 2011 12:52 AM (GMT)
Regarding the armour - well Nobunaga only just got it at that stage and still hadn't taken the last pieces back to the rest back at her 'castle' - no one ever had it all in one place before (except I guess when it was originally made)

Anyway - watched the end today.
Overall it wasn't all that bad - but I guess a completely female human world is still a bit too strange

One thing rather amusing for me ... I didn't take much notice of the episode titles ... until now after the last one I just realised they were all "... Otome" - D'oh me :)

Date! What did you say to Akerin? :D

Actually the battle animation in episode 12 was pretty HQ - they certainly didn't skimp at the end (as sometimes happens with anime)

Yet another anime with a clear end. That itself gives it an extra point score IMO

I'll give it a 6.5 out of 10 - certainly is filler anime - but also fun to watch most of the time.
