Well Spring Anime is approaching the end and a new season is about to start soon
(a few of the shows I'm watching have only 2 or 3 episodes to go)

I guess it's Summer for those of you in the northern hemisphere - but it's Winter now down here in Aus :(

Not much there I've heard of - about 3 or 4.
So for me, like last season, I guess I'll be downloading bucket loads of first episode anime shows to find out what they are about.

This season (Spring) I watched about 26 first episodes, about 20 after the first episode, but now it's down to 13.
Of those, I think about half are good and half are 'OK' filler when I don't have anything to watch :)

The look of that chart doesn't suggest Summer will be much better than Spring ...

There is one completely WTF?!? show in there ... R-15 ... ...

Edit: and the usual requirements of a boob anime covered by: Manyuu Hikenchou
(that description is rather blatant about the anime's plot ...)

There is one entry that really dropped my jaw to the floor...

THE HAYATE NO GOTOKU MOVIE?!?! SRSLY?!?!
Are they gonna animate the Athena arc or something??

The only series that managed to pull my interest is Baka Testo II...
Though I am always in the market for any of J.C. Staff's works, Im kinda weary of it...

The Negima! movie and the Hayate movie are billed together.
(it's been about a month since the details were released for the Aug 27 opening of the two movies)

There are also special cards of Neg, Asuna and Nadoka dressed up as Hayate, Nagi and Maria (and the opposite also with Hayate, Nagi and Maria)
Of course Negi is Nagi (not Hayate) :P

I think the last time I read a Hayate chapter was... last year perhaps?
I didn't notice any Shin Gekijouban Hayate no Gotoku signs then if my memory is to be believed...

On another note, most of the entries look less like loli's and more of trite and generic carbon copies... :bash:

Too many animes, too little time... :wacko: Where to start? Hmm... G'rr prefers series that doesn't go beyond a 100 episodes. Those series are such a pain in the bangs.

It's looking pretty average for Summer :(

So last season, shows like A-Channel and Soft Tenni that seemed to be directed at either 13 year olds looking for fanservice or paedophiles ... more of that again this season:

Yuru Yuri - well I guess the name says it all ...
Twin Angel - another bunch of characters who look like they are 8-10 (Yui Horie voices one)
Double-J - a 4 minutes per episode with B&W backgrounds and not much animation ... (1st epsiode is out)

Ikoku Meiro no Croisée
So far the story is about a 7? year old Japanese girl sent to France in the 1800's
... to be a shop's "poster girl" - seriously where do they get these ideas from?
My only guess is an attempt to give typically uncultured otakus some culture?
Pity they aren't speaking in French - French is a lot easier to understand :D

Firstly, the website is http://oppaidaisuki.jp/
(yeah that says "I love boobs" in Japanese in case anyone didn't know)
Secondly, the web site flash animation is an image of four of the girls and when you move the mouse around it removes some of their clothing (though it still doesn't show anything)

One of the reviewers at ANN compared it to a few shows including Hyakka and Koihime Musou
Now that's actually something I disagree with ... putting Hyakka in the same category as Koihime Musou
Why? Coz I think Hyakka is crap but I liked Koihime Musou :)

for me personally summer is better than spring than winter for 2011, not only I have my two best spring show doing a second season run for summer, (Nichijou, Tiger and Bunny) plus 2 good action series (Appleseed XIII, Kamisama Dolls), 2 return of old favorite (Baka to Test to Shoukanjuu 2, Natsume Yuujin-Chou 3), and a very good Usagi Drop. for once there are more than one series that is good for guys post high school age, (Tiger, Natsumi, Usagi.)

a big common thing among the new shows I will follow for the Summer is I had read all the manga on them, if they even come close to matching the original, they will be good, so this list does not even including new things I will try on the side later, instead of watching show to fill time, those shows are the one I want to watch, summer is definitely looking up for me.

Yep it's crap in my opinion.
They do a lot of censoring both due to fanservice and requiring it for the pr0n scenes which I'm sure the censoring would make the show crap for anyone who was actually looking for that sort of stuff.
Anyone not looking for that sort of stuff - well it's full of it censored so it fails that way also.

It seems to be the common story of the 'bad' guy liking the pure girl but in this case the bad guy is your normal everyday nice guy except that he happens to write porn and spend a lot of his time thinking about it - only to find that he doesn't 'think' that way about the girl he likes ...

I don't know if anyone's working on Appleseed XIII, but just the first minute or so was butt FUGLY. As I said, retro style art is really not meant for 3Ding :(
