Anyways, here's an article for the exact reason why Nintendo choose Wii. http://www.1up.com/do/newsStory?cId=3150013 After reading the article, my views changed. At first, I was embracing the concept of calling Nintendo's new console as the "Revolution" because it was indeed a radical change to conventional gaming, otherwise known as a revolution. However, the open-ended ideas of calling it "Wii" is very creative to say the least. Practically every part of the gaming world (I'm not sure 'bout the Middle East) can easily pronouce the word "Wii" thus completely destroying any confusion on the dialects. In addition, it can be interpretated as "We" and in the English language it symbolizes togetherness and even the doubles I's in the end represent a visual of 2 people together. Overall, I really like the idea.

Complete GCN compatibility (and a miniscule pricetag mwahaha), which means all the new omgrad Wii games AND Super Mario Sunshine, Luigi's Mansion, Super Smash Bros. Melee and + moarrrrrrr WITH THE ORIGINAL GCN CONTROLLER IF I SO PLEASE OMG YES YES YES WAVEBIRD YES And then, if I ever get around to acquiring a DS, megasex will ensue.

I wasn't really thinking of it, but now, it just seems like getting a Wii is the way to a better gaming life. So therefore, I will obtain a Wii and enjoy all the wonderous games there are for it.

That one guy Group: Scanlation/Fansub Projects Team Posts: 5,086 Member No.: 2,920 Joined: 20-June 05	the original nintendo had it, they're bound to put it on the Wii if they know what's good for them ^^ i'll get a wii. after the ps3 and the xbox 360 of course (xbox for halo3. probably a waste of money for one game, but the free 2 month online thing ought to be fun after i beat the game =P) now that they've finally mentioned fire emblem on this thing, i think i'll definitely buy it some time in the next two years.

Nintendo and Microsoft aren't teaming up but they aren't tearing at each others' throat, they're directing all competition to Sony. Some evidence is that Microsoft said that the PS3 is so expensive that you can buy a Wii and a 360 for one PS3. Also, Rare is developing a Game for the DS.
