October 4, 2007 is the day. not sure about the time, but who cares? Clannad is coming!

According to Moonphase it is 25:55 Japanese time (whatever that means). Like 1:55 am... The Japanese time is like borked to me, but whatever

Actually, no it isn't. Both are going to be animated by the same studio. Therefore, it is entirely reasonable to speculate whether or not the one has been pushed back because of the announced date of the other in the same topic.

Now, I'm not entirely aware of the Clannad story. What's it about?

Most Key works have Kyoto Animation incarnations, most recent being the Kanon remake that AQS itself fansubbed. But I agree wholeheartedly. ^^;

I have to say that CLANNAD was one of the best visual novels I have ever had the opportunity to enjoy, in fact the third visual novel I have played. It has a wonderful story, definitely one that follows the spiritualism that exists within AIR. Despite the fact that the game lacks ecchi elements completely, it remains one of Key's best-selling and most memorable works. Besides, I never play visual novels for the hentai, but for the story. (Also note that CLANNAD was released in the same season that Fate/stay night was released by TYPE-MOON, quite a risky move economically speaking.)

CLANNAD is due to have a movie, produced by Toei Animation, to be released next month (September). I have been eagerly awaiting its release, and I was very surprised to find that a full anime series is in production as well, at the same time. Toei Animation was the same group that produced the original Kanon anime, so we can expect the movie to have a similar artistic style, with similar changes in style for the anime rendition by KyoAni, as was done with the Kanon remake.

I have to ask, does anyone know if the movie and anime series is set to have the same seiyuu voices ...? I would hope that the voices remain unchanged, or that might even distort the anime version's appeal.

but anyways, i wouldnt complain about Toei having a separate cast for the movie. they did for the Air movie, and it was brilliant nevertheless. such a tear-jerker.

Note- She talked about CLANNAD- No Harm, no foul. Sure, it's two different things(The movie and the TV series), but it is the same storyline...

The only one whom I have seen so far that has 2 people voicing him is the character of Tomoya. Otherwise, everyone else matched up(So far)

It was announced by KyoAni that they had two time slots picked out. One for the fall, one for the spring. This is why if Clannad obtained the fall, Haruhi would be set in the spring.

I'm glad to know that I'll soon get to find out about Clannad and what makes it so good.

Since it's KyoAni, plus this show is like Kanon and Air in a way, this is a MUST watch for me.

i want it to air FASTER!!!! the group that is translating the CLANNAD game is going to work with Eclipse Fansubs, so the release will be REALLY quick.

Actually, I'll ber very impressed if the CLANNAD Fansubbing group works at the same speed as Guerrand Fansubs (who took on LS near the end of the series). They had episodes fansubbed within 1-2days AFTER its release!

Other than that, this episode was pretty good I was pretty appealed at the scene with Nagisa's family, oh god, Sanae is way too moe~ Plus, Tomoyo's display absolutely kicked so much utter ass, especially when she kicked Youhei's ass completely In addition, Ryou and Kyou have also grown to be my new favorites. Though still, too bad Fuko and Kotomi didn't appear in this 1st ep. Oh well, we'll just wait and see.
