One of the more confusing things is when to use it's/its. One gives the subject a possessive quality and the other is a contraction of "it is."
It's is the contraction of "it is." It's my birthday today. Its is the possessive form of it. I have its heart. Now comes the confusion (just for fun) It's its own self. This sentence is only for evaluation purposes because it's kinda awkward. Another way to write this would be: It is its own self This breaks up the conjunction and you can know see what it really means. Questions stiil? |
