Anime Recommendation: Asagiri no Miko (Shrine of the Morning Mist)
Week of: 1/3/05 Story: Yuzu Hieda comes from a family of Shrine Priestesses which include her mother and younger sister. When Yuzu's childhood friend Tadahiro Amatsu comes back to their hometown, Yuzu has a mission which is to protect him from demon spirits. Apparently, he is targeted to a secret that he harbors pertaining to his left eye. However, it would be better if she could recruit some friends to help her in her mission. Soon after, the Priestess club is formed: Yuzu Hieda herself, her friend Seiko Rikishii, the sarcastic Chika Yurikusa, sci-fi buff Izumi Akibara, and Shizuka Midoh who truly admires Yuzu. This series recently began its release in the US courtesy of Media Blasters. Part of production for this series was done by Starchild who contributed to Love Hina, Mao-chan, Sister Princess, and Negima! Magister Negi Magi. This series overall has a good mix of magical action and comedy elements.
