Is there any topic that Kai doesn't own? Anyways, volume four has been out for a while. I really wanted the kissin' contest to happen this book but it didn't happen. Oh well, Asakura got her chapter finally.

Volume 9 starts with the begining of the school festival preperations, the chapter with Zazie. So, yes.

The fighting tournament is at the end of the second day, so you'll be waiting for a while. Negi has 14 appointments before it, with Zazie's circus being right before it.

Yay! 80 RAW is out!

EDIT: Damn, this one is text heavy. I'll have a summary up in a few. There are a few colored pages about the anime and game. The game looks quite perverted. We have Ayaka trying to strip Negi, Negi talking to Konoka, Nodoka, Yue, and Haruna, all of whom are half-naked, and Negi getting a panty-shot of Evangeline. We also have some cute pics of real girls in the Mahora school uniform, as well of a new picture of "Negi and his merry men," as well as another popularity poll.

Summary, in size -5! (-7 = invisable text):

The chapter starts with a few of the girls shopping, when suddently, something flys by. We see Negi, Kotarou, and Setsuna carrying Lingshen Chao running away from a bunch of wierd caped guys with masks. They land on a roof and take care of them (yes, infront of Chao). Quite a few people noticed Negi's light spell, but assumed they were fireworks. They land between two buildings and Chao talks some, and then something is brought up involving the other mages from the last chapter and everybody looks nervous, 'cept Kamo who I'm assuming wants Negi to make a contract with Chao.

Negi, Setsuna, and Kotarou go off and fight with those mages (how nobody else notices, I'm not so sure). After a few, the two groups start talking... for about 4 pages. Chao talks to Negi, and then Negi gets some wierd watch (I'm not sure if it's from Chao). Fireworks go off, and the school festival begins!

Then... we see Chachamaru, Satomi, and Chao in coats (I still haven't figured out why. IT'S JUNE!) aboard a blimp...

Just skimmed through the Negima manga and oh my gawd. That ad for the Negima PS2 game is so Hentai.
Ayaka pulling down Negi Springfields' pants so seductively , what the hell?!?!?

I didn't know Natsumi was that popular. I guess i'll go down girl by girl CAUSE I CAN (spoliers in what i post for those who havent read manga)

SPOILERS
1: Setsuna - 1- No surprise, she owns, she's cool, can fight well, and has a killer set of wings.
2: Nodoka - 2- Again no surprise, most people who i've talked to who have read the manga for the first time say Nodoka sticks out the most and if they remember one character, its her.
3: Asuna - 4- Main character, nuff said
4: Konoka - 3- The last of the 4 main characters, and the best of them imo. I wonder what Asuna did to make people like her more than Konoka...
5: Natsumi - 8 - Surprise, i know she took care of Kotarou, but whats so cool about her that she beat like, 80% of the class in popularity? Thats what i want to know...
6: Evangeline 9- Yeah, Eva gets cooler and cooler as the manga passes, no surprise she's going up.
7: Yue - 5- Yue got bumped down...though thats probably more a case of Natsumi and Eva's progress as characters and Yue's lack of progress compared to them i guess.
8: Makie - 7- Guess the way long ago miss #1 hasn't appeased the fans like she used to.
9: Kaede - 6- SHES A NINJA SO SHE HAS TO BE COOL!! Same with Yue, from what i'm reading, she's not making as much of an appearance as she used to like, during the big fight in Book 6
10: Chachamaru - 18- Wow, she got bumped up a lot. Similar to Natsumi, i wonder what she did to make people like her a lot all of the sudden
11: Ako - 10 - I think her going down was more Chachamaru rising from below, she's shows up a lot, and her cuteness either makes people like her or turns people off i suppose.
12: Ayaka - 12 - Not much to say, she didnt change places at all.
13: Yuna - 14- oooh, moved up one spot, guess people dont like Kazumi as much anymore...SHOOT!!!
14: Chizuru - 19- Same with Natsumi but to a lesser degree, since she and Natsumi did mostly the same thing in book 8, but in a different way. I guess all the Mutsumi fans voted for her, haha.
15: Lingshen Chao - 21- YAY LINGSHEN MOVING UP!! If i say anything more, it'll be biased, so its best to just not say stuff.
16: Sayo - 27 - Sayonara? I think not, she was too cute in chapter 79, way cuter than she was shown to be in all of the pictures and stuff, she's cute in the anime, too. I like her everytime i see her more and more.
17: Misa Kakizaki - 13 - Eh, guess all the cheerleaders are losing popularity, and she just got the least of that hit.
18: Akira - 24- Hmm...wonder why she moved up...keep in mind i missed anything after book 8 but before chapter 79...eh...maybe people in Japan read Wavehawks story and thought more of Akira after that (i know i did )
19: Haruna -29- Thats good that shes not third from last anymore, she's a good character and lots of things would be different with Nodoka if it werent for Haruna's help.
20: Mana - 22- I remember at the first popularity poll, she was dead last, i guess a chick with guns, even if she is one of the manliest looking girls, is cool...
21: Madoka - 15- Poor poor cheerleaders...at least she didn't get it as bad as...(see #30)
22: Satsuki - 28- I think the whole resturant thing brought up peoples opinion of Satsuki.
23: Kazumi - 11- I kinda think this is well deserved, Asakura personally annoys me...
24: Chisame - 17- I guess people arent falling for idols anymore =P
25: Ku Fei - 25- Why is Ku Fei so unpopular? She's a sub-main character and i personally think she provides great entertainment to the class. Oh well...
26: Zazie - 23- Eh, Zazie's mysteriousness was revealed and people actually saw her talk and smile so i guess that turned off a few fans who thought she was gonna kill people or something.
27: Fuuka - 31 - Annoying
28: Fumika - 26 - See above
29: Satomi - 30- Yeah, Satomi is very not loved, regardless of what she does. She's the "smart girl" (even though Lingshen is #1 and Satomi is #2, Lingshen doesn't give off that aura i guess)
30: Sakurako Shina - 16- Wow, why don't people like Sakurako? I wonder what she did to make people hate her...
31: Misora Kasuga - 20- Same with Sakurako, this is a big surprise, what did she do to turn off any fans she might have got? Its probably the way she looks. =P


Yeah that post was long and pointless but im the bored and felt like posting it.

Oh yeah and i want to read the raw of #80. My favorite girl is starting to play a huge role it's looking like, i can't miss it.

The chapter with Chachamaru and Satomi did it. The cuteness.

That is the site that has scanned all the raws since 77. They were also the ones who released 79 on Christmas. In other words, for raws, yes.

I'm glad Haruna is moving up--her incredibly low ranking last time bothered me. And Asuna is moving up slightly and no matter what anyone says, she is love! Love, I tell you!

I knew Chachamaru would rocket up pretty quickly after that one chapter. And Natsumi seems to have a cult of some kind, dude. Some people are dedicated to obscure characters.

Judging from some of the images -- like the dragon one and the colored image that came with 80 RAW -- Akamatsu wants Haruna to be a main character with Nodoka and Yue. Considering she's in the manga club, it'd be quite funny to see her reaction.

Ok, i just read through the raw of 80, and i didn't really understand what was going on, but lets just say...i've got PLENTY of pics for future avatars now.

SPOILERS:

I hope this chapter gets translated soon, i really want to know whats going on...sadly, Lingshen didn't do any ass kicking like i hoped she would, even though she's in the Chinese Martial Arts Club...maybe she'll do more stuff next chapter. Oh yeah, When her hood got shot off and she was in her chinese dress, she looked really cool...

I liked the colour page as well. It showed the 'battle" costumes of some of the characters, mainly Yue and Harune. It suggests that Yue's pactio card might have her in a witch's outfit and the Harune magical object might be a magical quil. The combination of the Library exploration trio's object might follow a certain theme.

Nodoka - book that reads peoples thoughts
Harune - quil that cretes whatever she writes (has horrible flashback to Cardcaptor Sakura where a similar thing happens)
Yue - magic book of spells

The last twoare just pure speculation, but it makes you think about akamatsu's plans for the trio.
