from what I can gather ayaka's card has the power to allow people to meet without prior engagement, meaning the meeting will happen flawlessly. From my perspective, there are two ways that it could work.
1)
this could be similar to how the mahora tree grants wishes. like when nodoka asked him to kiss her and then negi's eyes glazed over. when ayaka activates her card, secretaries will rework their bosses schedules, security will treat let them through, and everything will happen so that ayaka can meet the person.
2)
or, it will make them "invisible" so that they meet with the person. like the security guard will suddenly have to go the bathroom when they enter the building, or a person that is walking down the hall and might see them would accidentally drop their stack of papers and have to pick it all and miss seeing them. and the doors leading to the persons room is mysteriously unlocked.

either way, if this is the way her card works, that sounds pretty damn powerful. and more than that, from what kotaro said, it will even assist with the meeting. so it will have another side ability attached to it as well. im thinking its a forced subjugation ability. like u can force rather unequal demands and it will make it so u can successfully mediate those clauses into a contract. would be menacing with the Ennomos Aetosphragis, that eagle binding contract statue.

Just got my copy of volume 0. I will scan parts of it on the weekend. I don't really want to debind it as it was a tad expensive to buy. The pactio cards look quite interesting. Mana's large weapon looks kind of like a railgun.

The fact that you suggest Mana's Gun looks like a Railgun makes me think if it is one the name will be something similar too Velocitas Eradico. Which is apparently Latin for "Speed Destroys" or "I am Speed and I Destroy".

Volume 36 is out in the usual places. My LE won't arrive for another 2 weeks at least.

Apparently the US release of the newer volumes of Negima is missing the cover rough sketch with Akamatsu's notes. I messaged Kodansha USA on Facebook about this but I'm not expecting a response because they haven't answered my other question.

My copy of LE 36 arrived yesterday. It has an Eva card as reported but the manga laks any extra input, e.g. there is no fan art or chat about the back cover. If you get one, be careful opening it, don't throw away the DVD. It's between two pieces of cardboard and not in the usual jewel case.

So, who's at the back? =P

Yes, there is nothing about it though. The book goes straight from the final page of the manga to the end cover via a single leaf of staff and copy write info.

Regular cover for volume 37

Man, it's hard to guess what Ken Akamatsu was thinking when it comes to this cover. I definitely get the idea that he's taking advantage of this volume coming out the same week as Valentine's Day. However, there's other things I'm wondering about here, with my thoughts ranging from him holding off a cover related to Asuna being sealed away until the next chapter (which results in nothing story-related in this volume that can be considered "cover material") to this volume possibly being the second-to-last volume of the manga (it really depends on whether or not the last 12 chapters will make up volume 38) to Ken Akamatsu possibly trolling the reader by hinting about one of the storylines he skipped over (the Valentine's Day tale).
